I remember Sherman Oaks, the one episode where the white wannabe-black guy starts dating a nazi chick and she converts him to be a nazi for awhile......that was GOLD.

David Goyer on HHH: "loved him, loved him"...

it is our duty as Smarks to make HHH's hollywood debut a success so he can slowly fizzle out of wrestling and into b-movie greatness. -

so now we will get more Kieblers/Torries rather then more Victoria/Jazz/Trish types. -
I disagree, if Stevie Ray Vaughn happened to be the white guy asked to host rather then a fucking white bread former mickey mouse club member like Timberlake, I don't see the color of his skin being so much of an issue. Or say like Eric Clapton. These two guys were inolved in blues and rock n roll music. What has Justin Timberlake contributed to the music world that could in any way be considered MoTown, and what in the hell exactly are his credentials to be hosting a MoTown awards show? Throwing this upside down, I will use the analogy that I did before with metal music. If the Living Colour was picked to host a METAL show, I'd say the Metal community would be might pissed, because Living Colour was not heavy metal music, oh and they happen to be black, which the media would harp on, but it just isn't true, now you take another black guy, like the lead singer of God Forbid, or the original members of the band SUFFOCATION, and I would bet my life that the metal fans/community would be perfectly FINE, with that selection. It's the music and culture and credentials, not race.

About the people of CA voting against gay marriage. I heard on some radio show that it wasn't exactly THAT, that CA voters voted for, it was a bill that would not acknowledge gay marriages from other states if the couples moved to CA. I am not sure if this is true or not. Anyone willing to look it up? -
not so much a race issue as a cultural issue and what motown represents. I'd say you want a good representative of MoTown culture to host and Timberlake is anything but that. I mean imagine Snoop Dogg hosting a metal awards show, ye of course him being black would be what is TALKED ABOUT, but in reality he has no frame of reference to be hosting a metal show when he doesn't epitomze anything that is metal in any sort. Culture thing, not race thing.

I'm suprised we ever got to government-sponsored marriage in the first place. If these "What happens next?" people were around, marriage law would have had to be revised 600 times to get rid of the "What If" people. So True. -

Sorry I just don't buy it. We are talking two consenting adults vs. Child Abuse here. And at the moment it is just that: a decision between consenting adults. My point, though, is that allowing for a broader interpretation of marriage will lead to just more than marriage between consensual adults. It will open the way for polygamistic and even pedophilic marriages. If there is no legal definition of marriage, then an adult could marry their offspring (even if an adult) and legally sue for the right to have that marriage recognized. Ok so then change the legal definition of marriage to include gay couples. -
I see him coming back and moving around slower then EVER before.

This basically comes down to religious beliefs, whether Bush wants to admit it or not. Without his little holy book, telling him how to think, I seriously doubt he would care who got married. There are more important issues to worry about at the present time, and it doesn't really strike me as "troubling" as the president has said, that gays are wanting to get married, or that someone is allowing them too be married. If this recent speech by Bush has shown anything, it is that this country has not changed a bit since 9/11, so I hope this leads me to never having to hear "remember 9/11" in a country song(not that I listen to country music anyway), or out of a conservatives mouth ever again...... -

Fascinating. I guess he was just setting me up for a fall when he put my nomination before the Senate. He's told me I'm doing good work at least ten times but I see now that he was looking for a way to fire me. And the three or four times he gave me a hug and the two dozen or more times he shook my hand, he must've thrown up as soon as I left the room. He's given me a job I love. He's commended me when I've done well, and corrected and guided me when I've made mistakes. He respects me as a person and asks about my wife whenever I'm lucky enough to see him. I suppose I should take that as a sign that he prays every night for God to strike her down and he just wants to know if it's happened yet? He sent her flowers when we got married, and on Christmas Day, when she gave up smoking. Maybe they concealed poison needles or something and she simply got lucky. He's asked me twice if she's started running again. (She ran a couple of marathons in high school.) Sorry, I'm laughing too much to continue, and I've still got a few papers to read, and another to write. Your comical crusade is charmingly brain-dead and devoid of any knowledge or experience whatsoever. I'll leave you to it. umm.....Wife..? Married? How? Dammit Marney how could you destroy the sanctity of marriage like that? -
That's very idealistic of you. However, the reality is that Nader can't win (and I really like Nader). And ultimately, the question is this: if I vote for Nader and Bush wins, will that make me as happy as if I vote for Kerry and Kerry wins? For me, the choice is simple. I'd rather vote for Kerry and see him win then vote with my heart just to have 4 more years of who we have now. And I think that in the state we live in (California, for those who don't know me), we need to give Kerry all the votes he can get just to be safe. If I were still in New York, I'd give a vote to Nader. But not here, and not now. oh please, Bush aint winning CA. Hell Arnold already almost locked that up when he went on Meet the Press and pretty much demanded Bush give CA money and pointed out, IF he does the people will remember because it is "election year" Hahaha, way to go Arnold, in case you forgot, Bush gives a damn about this state.

Well, the problem here is the Democrats are in a tough spot. If they want to look like hypocrites they will help pass this bill. I really can't believe this is actually happening. Leave the damn constitution alone, leave the issue up to the individual states like Republicans supposedly want in the first place. I don't see how this doesn't fall under "expanding government" which Bush likes to claim democrats are all about. -
Victoria talks about the outfit she wore on Raw
NoCalMike replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in TSM Classic Threads
Victoria kind of looks like what Chyna would look like if Chyna was a female not on the juice....... Oh and I really like the way Victoria does her hair different for PPVS, like she knows that the PPVs are the big show and does something a little bit special for them. -
For my normal driving habits......$10 a week gets it done unless gas prices go above 1.85, then I have to push it to about $12-$15 per week.

Go back and look at his statements. None say anything negative about John Kerry. The Democratic party, but not the candidate. Which is what McAuliffe claimed he promised. -=Mike Nader said today that Kerry has tapped into many of the same corporate funds that Bush has. He also called Kerry a work in progress. While not outright BASHING Kerry, I wouldn't say those comments are very flattering, and this is only what, the 2nd day since his announcment to run? It doesn't matter though, unless Nader is allowed some debate or one-on-one time vs. the candidates, the media will do it's damndest to silence him or just to try and convince people that him running is for his "EGO"

Thank you "black leaders" What can I do to help throw his ass off the MOTOWN show?

usually the image of the most popular girl in school though to me is not one that does drugs/whoring it up/stealing, that is more like the school's rebel girl. My gf's little sister is 13, and she has legit gone from good girl to this, in not 4 months, maybe more like 10 months. She has not had the best example from her two older brothers as they went through grade school, but they are older enough to where they weren't in school at the same time or anything. One is 18 and the other is 21. And when I say she went to "this" I don't mean quite as bad as the girls in the movie. She isn't sleeping around(or at all with any boys), but she is showing signs of rebellion like purposely breaking curfew, smoking cigs from time to time, "just to do it", also she participates in what I guess they call these days, "car parties" where a group just gets in the car and hot boxes. Bwahaha. I mean yeah I did it back in my day, but I believe I was 15 when I started, and I think I had a better head on my shoulders then her very impressionable little sister does. Oh well....

this is why, IMO, zero tolerance policies should be outright banned. They encourage NON-THINKING solutions, and just kind of throw a blanket over every situation.

When I was in 8th grade Beavis & Butthead were in their prime and all the adults were still going through the "oh no, they are satan's minions" phase, much the way the Simpsons went through in the early days. So in english class I finished my assignment early, pulled out their book entitled, "this book sucks" and started flipping through it. The teacher came over to my desk and looked at the book, grabbed it from me, looked at the cover, and said, "put this in your backpack and don't ever bring this trash into my classroom again" I pretty much had to hold back my laughter.

Okay then. Doesn't change what I was saying about the importance of an administration change and how it will help everyone left of center. maybe so, just maybe so, but that still doesn't change the fact that you should be voting for who you truly agree with the most, and not vote based on "what could happen" I mean if the media came out with open arms for Nader, and by some miracle he actually started gaining steam and was neck and neck with Kerry, does that mean now all of the sudden it is ALRIGHT to vote for him, yet if he is doing poorly in the polls, suddenly you aren't allowed anymore? Everyone can choose how they wish to vote, me personally, I vote for who I agree with the most on issues.

If that's true why the fuck would the DNC say this? Attempting to discredit Nader when he does attack, and trying to paint Bush as the ultimate bad guy. I doubt that even the DNC would so flagrantly lie. Nader must have promised SOMETHING to prompt that statement. well I don't see how it could be true, when it would completely contradict some of things that Nader has already said in public and on tv in the last few days.
