Wasn't Bush named "advisor" to one of those companies, simply so he could collect an inflated salary? Hmmm trying to think of the company.....dammit.

I would have liked to see a Tajiri/RVD feud in ECW. It wouldn't be half as good under wwe-style rules, so scratch it now. Super Crazy/Eddie Guerrero - their match in ROH left me wanting a whole hell of a lot more. Raven/Taz - I know it would have been awkward because their characters might not have meshed well, but they were probably the two biggest heels in the history of ECW(Shane a close 3rd) Raven/Sabu - This would have been pretty good in an ECW setting. RVD/Jericho = full fledged feud in WWE, not a match here and then 2 months later another match. I want to see it continue. Benoit/HBK - except 8 years ago

City of San Francisco sues State of California
NoCalMike replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
When their mayor is so blatantly disobeying the law, then yes. I wouldn't consider the opinion of allowing gay marriages to be radical or extremist though. Maybe the mayor acted in a radical way, but lets just say SF is successful, and CA law is overturned, then other states slowly follow suit. Will it still be considered radical activism, or just a matter of eliminating another form of discimination? I don't consider the opinion of allowing gay marriages to be radical or extremist either. I consider a judge allowing such a flagrant disobedience of the law to continue as radical acitivism. ok, but would you also agree that some things that are considered radical activism at a certain moment in time, may actually produce good things for the future and when looked back on, may actually have been a positive turning point for our country(at least concerning that particular issue). -
the sad thing is someone spent time investigating this.

I am still in shock and half expecting the lineup to be different when announced tomorrow, ok I shouldn't say that, afterall the list was leaked due to the ozzfest homepage having a big graphic with bands names in it.

has anyone seen the trailer for this yet? It looks interesting.......for those who want a brief summary, I ripped this from a review on aint it cool....... "Bale plays Trevor Reznik, an industrial worker who hasn't slept in a year, and is so thin that 'If he were any thinner he wouldn't even exist' as the supporting cast likes to point out. Trevor has his eccentricities- He regularly sees a local hooker (Jennifer Jason Leigh), loves to leave himself post-it notes, and goes to the same airport cafe every night for Coffey, pie, and conversation with his favorite waitress (Aitana Sanchez-Gijon). Besides the aforementioned things everything is fairly normal until Trevor meets Ivan (John Sharian), a new worker at the plant. Problem is nobody else at the plant has heard of Ivan, nor has an Ivan ever worked there. This sets off a chain of events that makes you wonder if everything is as it seems, and start questioning Trevor's sanity. That's as far as I'll go with the synopsis, I don't want to dip my toesies in the spoiler water." That is just a piece of the interview, if you want the rest follow this link........ I am just curious, if SF wins, is it because of "radical activist judges"? -
EDIT. Oh yeah I forgot, what I saw was a like a combo of trailer & footage of the movie that wasn't SUPPOSED to be on the net yet, so I am sure it has since been taken down.......sorry guys

Well to me Seymour never really relied on Enid for anything. He knew he was pathetic, and while not necessarily "happy" about it, he was content on just being who he was and living out his life. To me Seymour never really cared whether Enid was there or not, until the slept together, which is ironic because that seemed to be the exact moment that Enid realized she had made a mistake and she needed to escape the situation ASAP. True, Seymour probably enjoyed her company and companionship, but he never really seemed attatched at all until after they hooked up. I don't mean to turn this into a ghost world discussion, but what are we to assume happened to her mother, or is there no assumption to make? I mean her Dad was a single father for whatever reason, and they had one of those relationships where they hardly acknowledge each other. I wish there was a bit more backstory on how they ended up in that situation. That I suppose would be my only real complaint about the film.

well that was certainly long. -
fucking shit man. If they want to make a haunted house film, why not just make an original one. It has been long enough since the "House" series.....(LO F"N L). And for the love of gawd, will they just stop trying to ressurect TCM....

this is kind of off-hand, but does anyone know the name of the song that comes on in the trailer? -
It is going to be released in March, and I am just wondering if anyone knows if it will be released wide or only in select theaters?
-
did they have anyone to compare Reed Rothchild/Chest Rockwell too?

My city does a mock Mardi Gras, but as you can imagine they don't allow any of the fun stuff(drinking in public, public nudity) sure a couple people will sneak some beer and a few girls may decide to be the ultamite rebels and flash their tits, but it is an insult to even call it Mardi Gras.

If this comes to fruition then it is safe to say that it is going to be up to Slayer to draw the masses. There was some story on cnn about Ozzy saying he might possibly never perform again....so he might be done with Ozzfest, as far as performing, and the next biggest band is Slayer. I suppose Slipknot will draw too, but seriously this could be the BEST OZZFEST ever, and at the same time, be the lowest drawing also. It really depends how much name recognition "OZZFEST" has because I am sure there are people that go every year no matter what.

does the movie feature the duration of Holmes's porn career, or does the story pickup when he was already an addict and doing gay porn?

it's almost as if Charlotte is gravitating towards Bill Murray the way Thora Birch gravitated towards Seymour(Buscemi) in Ghost World, you can find very similar themes in both movies.
