I'd say the biggest thing that makes this election different is that we will be at war during it. I mean I don't see the country being any different then it was in 2000 regarding social issues, however the only real big thing out there to sway voters is the "war on terrorism" and how it is going around October/November With the media currently scared to death to show anything but a positive outlook on the war, it makes you wonder just how skewed people's views on the war will be by the time november comes around.

MPAA's reason for this: OMG, chaos in the homes of america at the touch of a mouse button, those pirates are stealing our movies and selling them to everyone, we must stop this digital piracy ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Legit Reason: Hollywood has run out of ideas and has resorted making shitty sequels to a lot of movies that were crummy in the first place. Or outright remaking films that have no business being remade, especially when people that would want to see them probably already own the dvd to the originals.

I think everyone is making assumptions too early on how Dean will run his campaign once(IF) he is awarded the nomination. In primaries, candidates by nature are out to appeal to their side of the political fence, once they get the nomination they know damn well that they have to appeal to indy & moderate voters so you usually see a shift in emphasis on certain issues and such. Lets just wait until the primary is over, watch a debate or two, and then re-visit this and other threads like this.

The Port of Oakland scene mentioned in that article, for instance, WAS a scene of people who got what they deserved (in that case, they were blocking transport of military supplies.) But there's a difference between disruptors and someone holding a less than favorable sign. Agreed, on all 3 points.

In this case your issue should be with media coverage, not the protestors.

All you are doing though is pointing to the lowest common demoninator in a crowd of people and labeling the whole group. The majority of folks are civilised, but unfortunately they don't have the power or right to exclude the more idiotic members of the group. Just like the majority of the anti-abortion groups are not likely to hold up dead fetus pictures and block doorways.

actually, the majority of folks are NOT, "war for oil" people. Just because there is a sign or two that say that in a crowd of 1000, doesn't mean they represent everyone there. The media tends to cover the most annoying and obnoxious folks just to get a point across(whatever that might be). Just the fact that they labeled a place a 1/3rd mile away from the speech a "free-speech ZONE" is laughable in itself. Sounds like to me that there is just a desire to paint a more favorable picture then there really is.

The Eagles might have had thr 18th offense compiled over 17 weeks, but after their poor start, they most likely imporved dramatically and picked up steam going into the playoffs. I mean really who cares how bad your team was in weeks 1-5 if you end up being the #1 seed in your conference.......oh and I am going to pay a visit to the Dallas headstone.........with my sledgehammer.

when I am on a roadtrip I really don't have a problem getting out of the way of someone who wants to go faster, however when I am in the city or just on the city highways where traffic is tight, I can't stand people that feel the need to swerve in and out of traffic. If someone is tailgating me and won't let up, I just start giving break checks until they either get fed up and go around, or they just slow down.

Another thing to BAN, is Flair from ringside. To me there is never any fun watching a Triple H match when Flair is just standing their ready to interfere. I could see once in awhile, but match after match after match, you'd think Austin as GM would try and ban him from ringside at least during title matches. Hell even a run-in would be slightly better then Flair at ringside.

Not only that, but logic would say that if Hebner is getting knocked out every single main event match, then he would fired on grounds of not being able to perform his reffing duties properly, by always being out of place. He is paid to ref the match yet is always laid out on the mat.

IMO, this had nothing to do with Spurrier being a bad coach, rather it was apparent that Spurrier simply wasn't ready for the time you have to put in as being an NFL head coach. He said it himself on the way in.....and on the way out.

this reminds me last year when Nickelback was playing with a bunch of metal bands. After they kicked off their setlist with "you remind me" the crowd booed them off the stage causing them to stop in the middle of their second song and ask, "you guys wanna hear some rock n roll" and the crowd yelled back "NO" so they left the stage.

I will definately be at the Skins/49ers game. Last time I went in 2002 and the game was dull and the crowd was barely alive, which I guess was good since I was a fan of the visiting team. Oh and the 49ers stadium sucks that place needs to be torn down ASAP. Now Fed Ex field, there is a beauty.....

DT: They basically need at least one guy that demands a double team. Stuff that run. RB: They need a power RB. Obviously.
