    Saddam possibly captured

What debacle in Afghanistan? Taliban out of power, Al Qaeda routed --- yup, THAT is a debacle right there. You know, I was reading the blog at Dean's web site and it blows my mind how completely out of touch you people on the left are. In 2004, when Dean is soundly and thoroughly trashed, I am sure you will have no clue how it happened --- or you'll go to the old stand-by of "image over substance". We did a good thing today. We did something that we seldom get to do --- we captured an EVIL man and will FORCE him to face JUSTICE. We removed the spectre of his return from the minds of Iraq. But, hey, keep focusing on the negative. It's all the left has nowadays. -=Mike Who said I support Dean? Who said I didn't think Dean was going to be trounced? I have never even been to his website. The situation in Afganistan is up for debate, but please don't write me in as a Dean supporter.

    Punk'd cancelled

I liked Dax/Dex from the first season. I thought he is what made the show hilarious.

    Gay marriage

I am sure gays can careless about the name "marriage" if civil unions were put on equal footing as marriage in terms of benefits and recognition, then I doubt people would have a problem with it. ... I'm confused by the wording of that statement, but you are agreeing with me, right? And I voted for the Civil Unions thing up there, which is what I was supposed to vote for, correct? Yes I agree with you, sort of(haha). Personally I feel that gays should be invited to the show.(Marriage)but I think Civil Unions would be a HUGE step in the right direction and probably "good enough" for awhile.

  6. I thought it was 5% to be allowed into the presidential debates and 11% to get matching funds?
  7. Well let's not forget the '00 Nader Trader situation, where masses of Green Party voters(ok maybe MASSES is not the right word, hehehe) abandoned their choice to vote for Nader when they saw how close the election was turning out to be. Nader had 3% after appearing on TV maybe once or twice in two years.

    Gay marriage

It seems like a pretty clear cut case to me. You cannot be discriminated based on race/sex/sexual orientation.......so what it applies to getting a job, going to school, but magically NOT marriage!?!

    Saddam possibly captured

You watch too much CNN ... I don't get cable. EDIT: After some consideration, I wonder about you SideFX. You seem to be the most partison guy on the board, and that's saying a lot. Between you and Marney, I wonder whose nipples got the hardest when they heard the news this morning. I got money on you. Judging by their reaction, the Iraqi people probably take that nod. But, hey, who cares about THEM, right? -=Mike I am sure our administration didn't care that much, considering they have said numerous times that catching Saddam doesn't really matter, yet I am sure the capture will be used more then the explanation as to the debacle in Afganistan.

    Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

Straights do NOT CARE about homosexuals. -=Mike Clarify for me this statement: Do you mean don't care like, "I am not a homosexual, why should I care about what a homosexual can or can't do" ?

    Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

it has NOTHING to do with tradition. It has 100% to do with a large amount of people in this country still not comprehending that homosexuality is not some "weird disease" Ok maybe not that bad, but a lot of people have still not accepted being gay as a normal thing. We still have scientists trying to come up with reasons why some people are gay.........Because of things like this, Homosexuality will not be viewed as normal for awhile. We are getting there, but have a ways to go. Once it is viewed as normal and a part of everyday life, then gay marriage will be legal. BTW, it should be now. Also, if it has to do with religious convictions then those opinions should be given even less weight & consideration then the "traditions" argument considering one person's religion should have NOTHING to do with ME.
  12. I actually think Dean will take voters away from the Green Party since Dean seems to appeal to a lot of the "angry liberal" group. Never the less, if the election is close, Nader will be blamed.

it seems to be a civial rights issue to me, and with that being said, it is a violation.

    Punk'd cancelled

This is the part of the story where Ashton Kutcher thinks he is "too big" for Punk'd and he tries a ful fledged movie career, but in reality no one outside of the mtv crowd gives a shit about him so he will waste into oblivion.

    Saddam possibly captured

not like liberals claimed he was a threat that couldn't be found before though. It is not like liberals thought we shouldn't have done a thing. Maybe just finish the job in Afgan before thinking about Iraq.

    Saddam possibly captured

Saddam's caputre pretty much puts Bush in the Oval Office until 2008, if for no other reason, then the fact that for over a year now, the general public has heard nothing but officials and president claim that capturing Saddam is the most important piece in the war on terrorism etc...... So it is really up to whether the general public buys into this theory. I am very happy with our troops and think they did a tremendous job, however I don't believe Saddam is the main force behind these attacks, as I never did. Fortunately for the president, I think he has convinced the american public of just that, over the course of a year of manipulation. But, at least for today and probably the next week(possibly month) I don't give a shit. Congrats on capturing that motherfucker.

    Lewis vs. Vitali: The Rematch....

What do you think? From Lennox's standpoint, he really has nothing to prove I guess, however the pay day would be huge as the public pretty much thinks he finally has a worthy opponent, and maybe he wants to "ride out onto the sunset" on a better note......... So do you think this fight will happen? Vitali definately looks ready.

    Show Review......

Ok I know a lot of the metal community hates CoF, but I happen to like them so I checked 'em out at the Warfield last week. I must say, this is probably the best stage show I have ever seen from a metal band. One thing I really like about this band is they like to put on a show and entertain the crowd, and give them more then just playing the songs. You rarely see that at a metal show, and while I can always appreciate a Cannibal Corpse concert, there is something special about seeing something as rare as a stage show for a Metal Show. I had previously seen CoF at Ozzfest and their limited stageshow was just a preview. As San Francisco/Bay Area is a great place for Metal as the place was packed and the crowd was loving it. The pit was going wild from the start to finish and even did the "we want more" chant after the show. If you even remotely like this band, I suggest you check them out on this tour as the stage show is pretty fucking cool and there is a lot going on up there. The Support was Type O Negative and some band called MoonSpell. Type O was it's usual good self and MoonSpell had "opening act" written all over them, but they were decent.

    That "Milkshake" Song.

Did you read my post.......I SAID........I had never heard the fucking song. I've never listened to iron Maiden but I wouldn't compare them to Evanescense. Its called using common sense. I've never even heard Kelis......any of her stuff.....I was just going by what people were describing about the song, and it sounded like a trendy bubblegum pop song ala Barbie Girl......my mistake.
  22. maybe it has something to do with haliburton being handed the contracts, rather then go through the regular process, and the fact of why we were told they were just handed the contracts. So it isn't really up to me to point out another company more qualified.

    Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

I don't even understand the uproar. First of all unless the students are even forced to go to this "event" I am sure about 20 people participate with a crowd of 10 people watching. Everyone else naturally will have gone home and as far away from school as possible. Secondly, why is this event even happening at highschool? WTF? I wish my highschool just decided that instead of that next test, we were going to have some "diversity rally"
  24. Wow, this is sooooooooo suprising..... But hey, they are the most qualified.......it had nothing to do with ANYTHING else.....
