Well the first issue of concern among Jesse Jackson and Co. Is that they say the infrastructure in the balloting is all fucked up. I guess in a normal election there is 5400 polling stations and for this election there is only 1800. He is trying to argue that the 1800 simply cannot handle the masses and is leading to disenfranchised voters. He may have some valid points, but when I went to vote earlier today at approx 2pm, my polling booth was fucking dead. I was the only one in there voting, and I think maybe one person was coming in as I was leaving. I am not sure if more people vote before or after the general 9-5 work hours though.

My question is, what will the republican response be if a RECALL ARNOLD petition is started? Are they going to embrace this as the will of the people, or are they going to call it a liberal tactic to try to win an election that they lost fair & square!?!

I don't think influence of bands have anything to do with it. I think it has to do more with record labels telling bands exactly how they are going to make music in order to get the MASS AMOUNT of buys. As much as we hate nu-metal bands. I am sure there are some guitarists in those bands that are talented and play solos at home or on tour buses, but when they sign a contract to make nu-metal, they have to abide by the piece of shit contract.

Ok first of all, Manny didn't take a few steps and then trot. He hit the ball, stood there, walked as he was looking, halfway down the baseline. The ACLU doesn't need to sue, because there is already recall plans under way to oust Arnold. Not saying I agree, support, or even care, but I am just relaying the message.

I know everyone is claiming that social issues don't matter in this recall election, but I beg to differ a lot. I mean it is my personal opinion that Arnold is just the latest attempt at getting a figure head in the governor seat that can help swing CA for Bush in 2004. However on to my point of the thread. I think it would have really been interesting for one of the candidates to ask Arnold if he was willing to stand up to everyone in his own tent especially the ones in his own cabinet, on issues like that they hardline disagree with. I think it would have put Arnold in a tough position, and helped expose him a bit. I mean is it just coincidence that he isn't really speaking on any social issues whatsoever, even though CA is a hotbed for such issues?

So far they have been airing 2 season one epiosdes back-to-back on saturday nights. They are going in order as well. I am not sure if it is only season 1, or if they are going to go all the way through the series. Check hbo.com for more info.

I forgot who it was that was asking about Oz, but HBO2 is reairing Oz from the beginning. As we speak episode #3 from the first season is coming on. If you haven't seen Oz or, haven't seen it from the start, I highly reccomend turning on HBO2 and checking it out and then joining me in wallowing over never getting emmy consideration.

Na, the roughing/running into the kicker call was horrible. The Defender was laying on the ground, and Tupa basically leaned into his body hoping to draw a call. The officials as usual were duped into throwing a late flag. Tupa has a history of doing this so the officials should have been on top of it better.

I thought the A's would be done in 4 games, because of what bad shape they were in GOING INTO the playoffs. Usually it is the exact opposite, but injuries killed the A's for this series. However the A's were a bad call away from winning this series 3-0. And that is with how putrid the A's offense was.

Lots of athletes are overrated across the board. White/Black/Asian(Dat Ngyuen on the Cowboys) etc......If Rush was going to come out and claim McNabb was overrated because he was black, he should have clarified that being black was one of many reasons, but Rush offered nothing but the fact that he was black. And it was an ignorant statement, IMO.

I know this is sort of off the main topic, but I am one of the few Chris Berman haters out there. His schtick is old and tied. He offers nothing as far as insight or analysis. He is more suited for reporting, like on Sportscenter or ESPN news because those guys are just reporting on the game and the highlights.
