The finals months of the year are upon us

scratch House of the Dead off my list. I must have mixed it up with another flick similar in name, cause the trailer for House of the Dead that I just saw was some quasi-hip hop horror movie..... -
poor quality/production in horror movies RULES.

Yeah, I was asking Spicy for his take. And then I was requesting that the two of you don't tear into each other as sometimes can happen in these issues. It took big bucks to get the signatures the first time, and the GOP can just barely get a majority of the state to agree for one recall. I doubt the Democrats could convince them to do it again. Ok, well I was just wondering how you felt about the position I took and my opinion on it. Oh and as far as taking a lot of money, sure it did, but it's not like there aren't a bunch of rich liberals in this state. Remember the entire recall was suggested and started by some guy that WANTED TO BE Governor.....I was just saying that if people standing outside shopping centers with petitions could probably collect 900,000 signatures over time, no problem.

yes, Jotw, at least a dork like Tucker Carlson is keeping honest to his belief system and not just riding the gravy train, so he gets some respect for that.
-
if you look at the elections as horse races, where you are just trying to go with a winner, then yes Arnold is your man. However if you are conservative TO THE BONE, your loyalty should be with the true conservative and better suited man McClintock.
-
probably makes no difference. No listened to Simon last time, but hey consolodation of the GOP is probably good for their chances.
-
well of course not. No one thinks they SHOULD. However this is not some new phenomenom among teens.
-
I saw most of it on CNBC earlier....actually only maybe the last half. From what I saw, the candidates attacked each other a lot more then they did the last time they had a debate.

And your reasoning is? I don't want you and Mike sidetracking this into a 54 arguement (and I'm letting both you and him know in advance), but I might as well get both sides. And Mike, Davis is only 10 months into this term. It took Bush 9 months before he got viewed as something more substantial than "harmless idiot", so I don't think the new Gov won't have enough time to get anything done. I understand this Jotw, however there is more to it then a new governor getting in there pressing a bunch of "make good things happen" buttons. The legislature is all screwed up, and I would imagine it would still be the same for awhile no matter who wins. Also, if you didn't know already there is already people organizing ANOTHER recall if a republican gets the job. Now I am not for this and think it is even more lame than this recall, but honestly in a state with this type of population, how hard is it to get 900,000 signatures, which is all it takes. So this could really just be the beginning.....

In case you missed it, I just explained why I think people should vote NO on 54.

What is shocking and absurd is for adults to act like teenagers engaging in sex acts are something new. I would be a bit alarmed about the fact there were 5 guys present when it was happening, but teenagers do sexual stuff.....WOW STOP THE FUCKING PRESSES.

Ok I will tell you why. From the description alone it sounds like a good thing. However you have to understand what it is banning. Research. That alone should make you want to vote no. How can BANNING research on ANYTHING be a good thing? It is eliminating knowledge or potential knowledge about a messed up system. To be more specific: Basically what Prop 54 is going to do if passed is, it will get rid of information that tells us where funding for schools is going and not going based on the race of the kids going to the schools. Therefore, if there is a pattern that is developing showing that prodominetly minority schools recieving less funding over rural schools that are mostly caucasian, the whole process of knowing this would be taken away. It is basically a measure to eliminate knowledge of the problem. Like Camejo said, how can the elimination of INFORMATION in ANY WAY be a good thing? This has NOTHING to do with "dividing the nation" don't listen to that rhetorical tripe that means nothing. This is a backdoor policy to eliminate the backwards and nearly racist procedures of how funding is decided on being delivered to certain schools over others...... Once again, even if you believe there IS NOT a problem with the distribution of funding, how in the hell could OBTAINING the information be a bad thing? No on Prop 54.

Ok as far as poll numbers, well it still really depends on voter turnout. Considering how hard it is to get people out there to vote for regular elections, I am not sure how many are actually gonna show up for the recall election. A lot of people I have talked to on all sides have said they can care less since the new governor will pretty much be a lame duck with a new election at the normal time coming up.

Also with ECW's tv matches, you are getting chopped and clipped versions of matches that appear in their entirety on the commercial tapes/dvds so when in reality the match is 15-20 minutes, watching it on TNN would clip it down to 5-8 minutes.

Better than almost anything HHH has done? HHH v Foley --- Rumble 2000 HHH v Foley --- NWO 2000 HHH v Rock --- Backlash & Judgment Day 2000 HHH v Jericho --- Fully Loaded HHH v Angle --- Unforgiven 2K HHH v Benoit --- No Mercy 2K HHH v Austin --- NWO 2K1 HHH & Austin v Benoit & Jericho --- RAW Those are just off the top of my head --- and ALL of them annihilate ANY of RVD's matches. -=Mike RVD vs. Doug Furnas -- Natural Born Killaz RVD vs. Bam Bam Bigelow -- House Party '98 RVD vs. Jerry Lynn -- Hardcore Heaven '99 RVD vs. Jerry Lynn -- Living Dangerously '99 RVD vs. Dan Kroffat --All Japan RVD & Johnny Smith vs. Mitsuharu Misawa & kenta Kobashi -- All Japan RVD & Johnny Smith vs. Yoshinari Ogawa & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi -- All Japan RVD & Gary Albright vs. Toshiaki Kawada & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi -- All Japan See I can name off a bunch of matches too and just add in......"These are just off the top of my head and are better than ANY thing HHH has done" but unless you have seen every single one of those matches, you can't really say which is better. Oh and as far as the HHH/Foley matches go. Those were just as spotty and as garbage match style as anything RVD has done. The matches were pretty standard and dull until Foley started bumping like a maniac and blading all to hell or falling off a cell, so I am not sure what, if anything that has to do with Triple H other than he was the chosen one to beat Foley upside the head with a Sledgehammer/barbedwire baseball bat etc........ If you are tying to claim RVD can't grapple and/or is not good at it, then you just simply don't know what you are talking about. I repeat, watch his Japanese work. There are plenty of websites that sell comp tapes of his japanese matches. Of course I am not expecting you to watch Benoit talent in the ring, but you can watch his japan work and see as plain as day that RVD can adapt to whatever style he has chosen or has BEEN TOLD to work. If WWE wanted him grappling and working a more WWE-main event style, he is plently able to do it. However his style that he is currently using is what is getting him over with the crowd.
-
I think a lot of the RVD/HHH discussion is stemmed mainly from the fact that Triple H has no business as champion anymore, and everyone's frustrations are running high. Now while I might not feel RVD is a franchise guy that can carry the company to fruition for the next 5 years, I certainly believe he has show enough to get a chance. Even if it is just as a transitional champ. However I would be happy to see RVD get put on hold some more if Jericho was to become champ.
-
No On Prop. 54, folks Prop. 54 Prop. 54
-
Umm no, Jeff Hardy was a poor man's RVD. His execution was horrible and he fucked just about everything up. RVD when motivated is good. Not the best, not a top 10 worker, but he is plenty good. The Matter of Respect Match was better than the Stretcher match, IMO, and also better than pretty much anything Triple H has done. Also everyone is ignoring the japan stuff. A lot of wrestlers are totally different workers when they go to Japan because over there, different aspects matter to the fans.

I disagree. Throughout the debate, not one candidate disputed the fact that California had substantial problems (especially financially) that needed to be fixed. Even Cruz admitted that there was too much spending. The whole negative vibe in the debate is enough to suggest that Davis hasn't been doing his job. Ye, but the entire panel wants to be govenor. I mean it wouldn't be a good tactic to get up there and praise Davis.
-
Cruz was just too passive. Whenever he was criticized he would just concede to it and say, "well I will try to fix what has been done" Huffington went up as far as POLICIES go, but she came off too petty and went off topic too much to gather large support. Arnold went WAY DOWN IMO.....but I have already said why before.
-
When we can make jokes about one another and not go OMG RACIST/XENOPHOBE... Also when people know when and when not to do it.
-
He did, but he was off camera. When McClintock was just starting to speak up about it, Arianna interrupted and Arnold said he was against it, then McClintock said in the very next instance that he was the only candidate up there in support of it, and you'd think with such a strong bill like that if Arnold was also for it, he'd speak up to clarify.
-
Arnold is just too hypocritical for me though. I mean he says he is an outsider but has camped inside the Republican tent. I mean does he honestly believe the Dems screwed up the state single-handedly? I dunno, but the last time I check there is NOTHING "outsider" about republicans. He should have run as an Independent if he wanted to sell himelf on this great outsider to the political spectrum.
-
At least everyone on the panel except the guy not winning was in strong OPPOSITION of prop. 54. That evil prop better not pass.
