The quote unquote "official" Howard Dean thread
NoCalMike replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Current Events
Lieberman bashed "the leftist" members of the Democratic party over the weekend, which pretty much means Dean/Al Sharpton. Lieberman is such a joke. -
RVD is entertaining though. His style has changed since coming to WWE, however this has already been discussed in another thread. I think it also is quite suspicious that Lawler is the token HEEL ref, yet for someone like Jericho, he virtually NEVER constantly complimenting him like he does Orton or even Christian for that matter. He just sits there silent and maybe throws in an occassional, "be careful Y2J" It is so partial, and I am sure he is being told to do it.

I remember seeing them with Deicide in 2001. Practically no one knew them before they played, and after they finished their set people were screaming for their cd. They are good.

Yah what a funny guy for ripping it, let's all love Affleck because he acknowledges he made a piece of shit movie to further the relationship he has with JLo.....

I don't see how Dems are having a hard time. Bush is the one that has his approval ratings drop every week. That can only be good for democrats.

Did she get into the "treason" stuff?

Or at least the upperclass of america, bush/cheney04!?!

Everybody has got to be kidding. This isn't the first time they have tried to get Kane over as a "monster" See he can beat up the mid-card all he wants, but then once he climbs higher, no one is going to job to him. Then once again his "monster" gimmick will become a tame & comedic Kane.

I thought Raw was awful, SANZ, RVD's 60 second appearance, and Jericho of course.
-
Why don't I like Orton? Well there are plenty of better people in the company that could be in his position. People that are better at everything he does.
-
I'll give you two very good reasons Goldberg is a failure in wwe. One, they waited way too long to get a deal done to bring him in Secondly, WWE used the "invasion" angle to destroy ANY credibility WCW had as a company and/or name value. Then when their own workers can't draw, they turn to a company who they just buried to come in and save the company. It is a disgrace and horrible business.

Jericho or RVD would be nice. This is WWE though, Eh, it will probably be re-signed Chyna.
-
I also think the fans are getting tired of Vince telling them who is the best. I think the fans would rather watch the product and be able to make up their own minds. Orton is just another classic example of WWE "knowing what's best for the fans"

All I have seen out of Orton is a pretty nice looking drop kick. He is NOT over. If WWE wants another Rock/Austin it is just gonna be dumb luck. Austin/Rock weren't exactly built to be the megastars they became, it just happened because they connected with the fans. Orton has that lame mic style where he says something and then has to pause to wait for the crowd to react, except, the crowd doesn't react because no one cares. If they want another failure as champion then they can go ahead and put the belt on him at SS. The legend killer gimmick is lame because he isn't doing anything on his own, he is playing second fiddle to Ric Flair and Triple H. As long as he is aligned with those two, he probably will ALWAYS be in the shadow, in Flair's because of who Flair is, and in Triple H's because HHH wouldn't have it any other way.

How about I just give you $20 in November at that PPV, cause you know there is NO WAY IN HELL, you aren't buying that one.

Trung will fit in fine, depending on how the O-Line helps him. He is a better recieving RB than Stephen Davis and that is what Spurrier wanted. Trung brings speed to an already superfast offense. We also have Betts/Cartwright in the backfield to get the 3rd&1 yards. It sucked that the Skins had to let Davis go, but wasn't as much of a Spurrier decision that everyone wants to make it seem. He would have accounted for approx 10 million against this years salary cap, and that was unacceptable. He also made it clear he wasn't gonna take a pay cut. Skins would have never been able to sign Coles/Morton/Thomas/Hall and work on an extension for Champ if Davis 10 million was looming over their heads this season. It was a tough player to drop, but the four we added, plus being able to resign Champ(and Lavar eventually) to a long term contract makes it a good decision in the long run. Plus the Skins would have been holding down cap hell for a player that has approx 2 years left in him barring injuries.

And Triple H hasn't bombed as champion over the past year or so? All this doesn't explain why Triple H continues to be the champ regardless of horrible matches and NO drawing power.

azif half our elected leaders don't have feelings towards certain countries for certain reasons.

Angle certainly isn't well-schooled in the art of selling.

Last Night's event was simply amazing. Every fight was good. Now I can't wait for November. Why can't mainstream america get into MMA? Everyone has done a good job running everything down, I'd say as far as knockouts go, it is too close to call, I mean Saku and the Russian both looked like they died when they hit the canvas. Wow, just Wow.

technically patricia arquette the actress survived, but her character "Kristin" died in the beginning of Dream Masters when she transferred her powers to Alice.....

Vanilla Coke kind of tasted like a tamer version of Cream Soda to me. I hated it the first time I had it, but it has grown on me and now I drink it on occasion.

Rob Johnson will be #3 on the depth chart or off the team by the time the season starts. I am not sure what other free agents were available at the QB position this offseason that wouldn't demand #1QB pay. Brad Banks was let go because he sucked in training camp. Barring injury, there should be no reason to Ramsey is not playing the entire season. No point in arguing this point any further, because everyone continues to make arguments from something that was done last year because there was not a #1 Qb here. Ramsey is considered "the man" by the organization. Last year Matthews & Wuerfull were clearly not. Ramsey was obviously rushed into his role last year because Matthews/Wuerful sucked. Ramsey did not know the offense very well and the offensive line was horrendous and offered no protection. I will conceed Spurrier's one big mistake in the QB carousel last year was pulling Ramsey after he had 2 bad games. He should have just left him in the rest of the season and let the season ride out. However criticism of pulling Matthews/Wuerfeull is just pure Chris Berman nonsense. It's not like I don't realize that if Rob Johnson has to play then the season is over. Of course I know this. Rob Johnson sucks, Wuerfull knows the offense but he is a noodle-arm. I honestly believe though that Ramsey has what it takes to be a franchise QB, I don't expect people to take my word for it, nor do I really care. If he shows it on the field then that will be the proving ground, and if I am wrong, well serve up some nice hot steamy crow and I shall eat it all and make the plate look spotless.
