Well, on a laptop (unless it is a Mac), capturing video may be a bit tough. You would need some sort of capture card that has a video input so you can run a VCR to it. I'm sure some kind of device exists for a laptop, but I have never seen one. Edit: I just looked on ebay and there are numerous devices. Just do a search for 'laptop capture card.' -Jim

I had some through Putnam Investments from 1996-99. I had two of them, Voyager and New Opportunities, which I initially put $500 into, for a total of $1000. When I took it out in '99, I had about $1600. Not great, but pretty good when you're 14. Mind you, this was when the economy was good. Then, in late 2000, my father bought me stock in EMC (data storage company) with most of the money from the mutual fund. The price per share when I bought it was $98. I still own the stock, and check on it occasionally. The price is usually somewhere around $12-13 per share. I think it may have gotten up around $14 at one point, but don't quote me on that. So, the lesson here is: don't buy stock at $100 per share. It's fucking stupid. However, Mutual funds can be great, even when the economy is on a downslide. I don't really know much about them, but as I said, Putnam Investments worked out for me.

Actually, on a Raw around that time, Vince actually did say that Lawler was "having some legal problems." And as for the rape thing, in Honky Tonk Man's shoot, he mentions that he had heard that it "cost him several hundred thousand dollars to get out of." Who knows how true that is, though....

Yes, JR and Heenan did it until Heenan left in December. Then Monsoon and Ross did it for a time, and eventually DiBiase came in to replace Ross, who had been fired, I believe.

They dont want to risk being overshadowed by the support. Especially with Cornell's voice being rather questionable these days... Some bands (Slipknot, U2) always take out good bands on the road with them. Im sure it has alot to do with the main band's ability to put on a good confidant live show and whether or not they easilly go along with the wishes of record labels. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's up with his voice? In Jim Cornette's shoot from 2003, he talks about using a different formula in a OVW match that he booked. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it involved different uses/placements of heat segments and stuff like that. I thought it was really cool. Has anyone seen this that remembers? I don't have the tape anymore.

Well, I'm not sure about any programs that capture directly to MPEG, but you can convert them to MPEG (a compressed format) afterwards with a program called TMPGEnc. It's on download.com. Don't know if it's free, though. It takes FOREVER, though, so be warned. haha. -Jim

Capturing video just takes a lot of space. There's really no way around it... Unless you get a real time MPEG encoder, which compresses it, but not in the best quality.
