I'm pretty sure they were always called "The Acolytes."

I've run Spybot and Ad-Aware numerous times and there's this thing called HuntBar that will not fucking go away. When Spybot or Ad-Aware finds it and I try to delete it, it tells me that it is still in use. I did the same thing in safe mode with the same result. I tried deleting it manually through the registry, but I get an "error opening key" message. Problem #2. There are now about 5 other pieces of spyware that behave in much the same way as these do. One of them is the world famous 'N Case.' The problem with these is that they don't even show up in the registry when Spybot etc. says they are. Is there anything that can be done short of formatting the whole f'n thing?

I do that as well, except I usually eat all of whatever it is, then drink the drink after.

I hope the horrible grammar and spelling is mocking the people who do that. Just to clarify, Hart won the title during a television taping, but technically it was never scheduled to air on television, so it can be an either-way argument. Yeah, that's true, but the cameras were rolling and it was lit for TV etc., so it ain't a house show to me.

Any Good Freeware Video Editing Programs?
JJMc replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in Technology
Perhaps he misunderstood you, thinking that by "editing" you wanted to convert to a new file format, encode, etc. Because I was under the impression that that's what VirtualDub was for. As for editing programs, I can't really help you. iMovie is quite good with effects and all, but it is only for Mac. Have you tried Windows Movie Maker? I haven't, but you must be able to do something in the way of effects, right? -
Ric Flair's WWF '91-'93 theme was cool. Much better than his WCW/current one if you ask me. I also like Benoit's current one. Maven's is actually pretty cool, but they almost never let it play into the chorus.

Six years?

Fuck video packages all together. They need to get back to basics. Just show raw footage from each confrontation between the the two opponents like they used to do. It doesn't have to be pumped full of digital affects and 'epic' music. The problem is that they're just stale and they need a fresh feel.

Ever wondered how they do video packages
JJMc replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in The WWE Folder
My video production class senior year, we didn't even have computer editing programs. We did everything on VHS, which is an unbelievable pain in the nuts. -
Pretty sure this hasn't been said. How about the "scab" referees angle from late '99? The regular refs were "on strike" and guys like the Brooklyn Brawler and Harvey Whippleman were used as refs. I don't think anything was ever done with it, and it would seem as though it was only done because of a real life problem with the refs. Anyone?

Cool stuff. I'm a video production major and use Final Cut Pro. That shit will fry your brain. It is so involved and often times tedious that I get fed up after a certain amount of time. hehe -
Bro, definitely get a belt. I wanted one my whole life and in '03 I finally got the Big Gold Belt (Fig. Inc WCW version w/ curved plates). I sold it after about a year but I don't regret getting it a bit. It's a nicde thing to own. -Jim

Is the 2005 PWI Wrestling Almanac out yet?
JJMc replied to haws bah gawd's topic in General Wrestling
I remember back in '97, I could not find it ANYWHERE. I finally ended up ordering it out of a PWI issue and it took TWO MONTHS to arrive. It was the weirdest thing ever. The first time I ever saw it in a store was in 2001. -
Thank you both very much. I appreciate it.

At the gas station I work at, last summer some guy paid me with two brand new $2 bills dated 2003. I thought this was a little strange since I didn't think they made them anymore, at least not that recently. So I go inside and hold them up to a regular $1 bill to find that they were about half an inch longer than normal currency. ??, whatever.
-
Awesome. Never saw that one. I have a few episodes on tape from '02 when Sci Fi started showing them. One that I remember is a guy who cheats at card games until one day a cowboy like charachter comes into the saloon or whatever it is and beats him. At the end, they pan away from the charachters and over to the wall with a photo of the guy who was apparently the hanging judge in that town back in 1902. I believe it was true, as well.

They were probably all Mania VI style, with him barely being in the ring.
-
You are correct, sir.
-
I don't recall the match he was in, but in the interview he did before going to the ring, he was crying behind his glasses. And Debra started saying something worthless, and Jarrett told her to shut up and said something like "we're praying for you, Owen."
-
Fuck it. Haha, seriously though, I've learned that trying to make DVDs/VCDs is a pain in the ass. To be fair though, I've never tried either of the programs the last guy mentioned, so you may want to give 'em a shot.

I have an early Raw magazine with pictures of the matches that happened when the power went out, and maybe it is just the camera, but it appears as though there are no lights at all pointed at the ring. And yes, all of the faces went over including Yokozuna. I remember because Raw magazine said he won because "the Japanese see better in the dark."

Re: syndicated shows: When they aired is impossible since it was different in every market, so I'll just list the times for where I live. These times begin in '93, when I started watching, so anyone from the Boston area can feel free to correct me. Superstars-Saturday 12 PM (until mid '93, then 1 PM until mid '96 when it kept getting bumped until it switched to USA) on WFXT (Fox 25) Boston Challenge-right after Superstars, same channel until late '95. Switched to a recap show in '96 and moved to 2 or 3 AM. (Cancelled in 2/97 when Superstars became a recap show) Spotlight- 8 AM Saturday on some channel that escapes me. (cancelled in June '95 when Challenge became a recap show.)
