Mr. Early-Saturday Evening Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree for SNH Match I predict. Which sucks because this could've been a US Title Match last month. Why would that suck then? It's a pretty high profile match for heat.. which would help WWE sell their product. Regular fans would be like wow.. this big of a match on Heat... Summerslam is going to be God like! RVD/Haas vs Dupree/Sakoda is my pick. Something along those lines, because I definately see Haas getting a slot somewhere due to his awesome match with Angle. A RVD/Hass vs. Reigns/Dupree match seems more likely.

This is for whenever the spoilers come in. Speaking of which, where are they taping tonight anyway? edit: Real smart there Borne. You got the name and the date wrong. What a way to impress.

These have gotta be fake. They're in Houston and Booker doesn't job.

No mention of The Animated Series? My mistake. I completely spaced it. Again though, I really haven't seen enough of it to give an accurate judgement. From the episode guides I've read, it doesn't sound too bad.

DS9's the best just by the acting and character development. Here's my rankings from best to worst. Deep Space Nine The Next Generation The Original Series Voyager (Avoid like the fucking plague) Haven't seen enough of Enterprise to judge.

Possibly to set up for a RVD-Booker program post-Summerslam.

Cool/Historic Stuff You've Seen Live
BorneAgain replied to Boner Kawanger's topic in General Wrestling
In attendence at the the most recent world title change on Raw when Austin beat Angle. (10-9-01) Witnessed Goldberg's and Sid's last WCW matches at Sin. (1-14-01) Saw the late Terry Gordy's last match ever at a Main Event Championship Wrestling show. (7-10-01) If that wasn't morbid enough, Curt Hennig and Rocco Rock were at that same show. Was there when Gangrel turned on Edge and when the Rock originated the "It doesn't matter catchphrase" Yeah, I'm reaching here. (7-11-99) Rey Mysterio's WWE debut and the last Smackdown matches of Storm, Christian, Jericho, and Test (7-25-02) Well this is more comical that historical. I was in the crowd when JR was set on fire by Kane. (7-14-03) Oh and I did see Lance Storm defend all three of his WCW titles in one night. (8-1-00) -
D.C. knows greatness. Benoit is not greatness, and so your feeble chant was shat on. BATISTA WORLD ORDER 4 LIFE! Don't confuse hometown support for recognizing greatness. Batista is getting better but he's not great yet.

We should come up with the ultimate cliche match. It would be something like a tag team match facing Kane as punishment, with a mystery partners who ends up being the guy who hates you the most, the match ends with a roll-up after someone's entrance music distracts one of the opponents, and then the match conditions are spontaneously changed and the match restarted. With another wrestler you hate being guest referee.

If this is Vince's second attempt at weekly PPV's, then I expect this to go down as well as Tuesday in Texas did.
-
Thank god. Not being able to do that pissed me off so much in the last three games.
-
Well it was nice of Bossman to recommend his old buddy Akeem for the job. It'll be interesting to see how Cena and Book pull off a unification bout, especially if they decide to make a ladder match.

Rediscovered this going through the archives. Eh, not to toot my horn too much, but I still think this could be an intriguing angle if done well. In fact if Ric were to retire soon, this would be a good angle to go out on. Here's a potential voice-over for the promos. "Ric Flair is a legend. He's fought for his titles, his pride, and even his very name. Now he fights for the most important thing of all. His own legacy." Thoughts?

I agree with Sportsfan. They do seem to be trying to improve things; IE dropping the more ridiculous elements, showcasing the cruisers, pushing some new teams, and continuing the Angle/Cena storyline nicely.
-
Any word on the Cena/Booker/Suzuki situation yet?

They should do a triangle match at least once just what kind of reaction it would get. But I digress. In regards to Vengance I expect something like this. Benoit vs HHH World Heavyweight Championship Orton vs Edge IC Title Batista vs Jericho (or if he's healthy by then Shelton with Jericho vs Flair perhaps) Victoria (with Stevie in drag again) vs Trish Stratus Women's Championship Matt Hardy vs Kane, probably a gimmick match La Resistance vs. HurriSHIT or Regal/Eugene (its too early to tell) Tag Team Championship

"Bischoff takes it up the ass" from Pillman's shoot interview has always been a favorite of mine.

Host: We also would have accepted humongous. I love the fatheads episode where Rocko and Filbert go to Hollywood. *After seeing the Chameleon Brothers throwing animated pictures in the air shooting them with a camera* Rocko: Oh, so that's how they do it. Tour Guide: No, those guys are idiots.

But he spearededed the bad guys and called them gay! I think the problem was that he didn't call Kane a dork. THAT'S how you build a money feud. But with Kane's hair there's no point to having a hair vs. hair match. It can't work I tell you!!!

They probably won't bother. He hasn't been on tv in two weeks and no one's made a peep about his whereabouts. They're just going to go on as if he never existed. Good point. I doubt they'll have Bischoff brag about firing him, because then the marks will think its a work and expect Austin to show up that night.

There's a link to it on the main page.

Not that I mind too much that he's gone, but how will they explain his absence on television?

Here's a pic and preview for tonights South Park Episode 805: You Got F'd In The A Stan "gets served" when a group of kids from Orange County challenge him to a dance-off in an all-new episode of "South Park," entitled "You Got F'd In The A." In this week's episode, it's up to Stan to put a team of South Park's best dancers together to compete against a rival troupe from Orange County. While Butters has won awards for his dancing, he refuses to help Stan out, as he hasn't been able to dance since the tragic death of eight audience members at his last competition.

I realize that this may seem like trifle thing, but the "Discuss the latest Smackdown, bitch about the latest Raw" really doesn't apply to the WWE these days, especially considering the recent quality of both shows has started to go in opposite directions. I know we shouldn"t be fickle and change it everytime a show gets better or worse, but in my opinion it could be better.

All references to WWF are edited out of the Mind Games match on the HBK DVD and on Foley's new DVD. I know becuase I can still hear them on Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops.
