Got the game today at Gamespot. Here I my impressions. The Submission meter fucking rules. The grappling system is MUCH improved over the usual smackdown engine. Falling from high places (or missing too many high flying moves moves) will make you weaker You can't get cheap victories using the taunt against the computer anymore. The EC is great, you can climb each individual chamber and pull off high flying moves. The lyrics version of Evolution's theme is in. I believe this had beaten No Mercy as the best game yet.

Warren, I thought was a creepy big bad because he seemed very realistic as a character and his transformation from geeky annyoing villian to cold-blooded killer was excellent storytelling. Its fitting though, considering his wannabe status, that his only two successful kills (Katrina and Tara) were both unintenional on his part. Another example of fine Buffy writing.

They need to establish if vampires are cold or are room temperature, cause if its the former, well that makes the events in Surprise and season 6... kinda icky.

My thoughts on the final season Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Season 7 I liked because of its continuity and because the last 10 episodes or so really do feel like part of a war miniseries somewhat. With the Sit's being trained, the scoobies staying in generally one place, Buffy enlisting the help of her former enemy Faith to win, the deep conversatinons between the characters (one of the best being between Anya and Andrew), The First Evil getting Caleb as a lieutenant, the armies of Turok-Han, and the abandonment and eventual destruction, really gave the the season a sense of urgency and tension that I enjoyed. My ranking for the seasons 5 3 7 2 6 4 1

Unfortunetly the only American games that use the AKI engine is the Def Jam Vendetta series. You might want to consider getting an import like fire pro wrestling or japanese games developed by AKI.

But in reply to your post, I've lowered my standards for Raw since May of 2002 and have only lowered them for Smackdown in the last few months or so.

Yeah, but that whole "dying for the sins of the world" and "love thine enemies" thing turned him face. I guess he's acts more heelish in the first half, but the authors decided to lighen up his image for New Testatament. Didn't do too bad of a job.

Plus I remember on "I love the 70's" they mentioned the connect four commercial with the sister saying "here, diagonally" to which Mark Hoppus replied with "Here diagonally! I totally kicked your ass... stupid!"

This is the first time I've seen Hero in a while, and dammed if it I didn't misty eyed when I saw the ending. Doyle in that commercial take talking how "When the chips are down, you can come to us, and see how there are still heroes in the world." And then he looks into the camera and says, "Am I done?". Some powerful stuff there.

I don't see how this is a bad thing. The greatest president of the 20th Century was an actor and former Governor of California. I have my doubts about that...
