Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

Man Kennedy has the worst luck in the world. As for Jericho coming back, I'm not sure the company wants Chris, a guy who hasn't wrestled in over two years immediately wrestling the top talent, if just for for fear of even more injuries thanks to rust.

Cena's the golden goose. They'll play it extremely safe with him I suspect.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

Cena Injury Update Cena out with pec tear, must surrender WWE Championship Written: October 2, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – WWE Champion John Cena has suffered a complete tear of his right pectoral tendon and is heading into surgery, according to noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Because of the seriousness of the injury, WWE officials will not allow Cena to compete this Sunday at No Mercy, and he will have no choice but to surrender the title. Dr. Andrews said Cena could miss between six and eight months of action. Cena was injured during his match Monday night on Raw with Mr. Kennedy. Before visiting Dr. Andrews, Cena had said, “No matter how serious, the injury, one way or another I’ll be ready to compete on Sunday.” But despite Cena’s vow, WWE officials will not allow him to compete at No Mercy. Therefore, he must surrender the WWE Championship. WWE officials vow that there will be a WWE Championship Match this Sunday at No Mercy and that there will be a new WWE Champion. Stay with WWE.com for further updates on Cena’s condition and on No Mercy as they become available.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

One would think that the company would have a contingency plan for when their top babyface (that has wrestled non-stop since he came on Raw two years ago), who they have fed so many heels to and put so many effort in establishing, gets injured. Something tells me they don't.

    Favorite match finishes

8-man elimination for the U.S. title from July 2004 on Smackdown. Final men are RVD, Booker T, and John Cena. Cena is down with Van Dam heading towards the corner for the 5-Star, Booker plants both hands on Rob's shoulders, but RVD just elbows him, and knocks him down momentarily. Its all going by so fast, the no notices the ref counting what Booker did as a tag. RVD nails the frog splash, and does his usual sell on the ribs/stomach. However Booker crawls in as the legal man, pins Cena, then hits the scissor kick on Van Dam who's still recovering and pins him, all in less than 10 seconds after the splash. Did an effective job of giving a heel a win without cheating (the last clean loss for Cena for almost 3 years), but still making him seem cheap opportunist, who merely took advantage of the face's lack of focus. One of those finishes where the instant replay illuminates everything that people might have missed (the initial tag, the ref telling RVD he's not legal after the frog splash).

Paul Heyman officially done with WWE

Where would he go? TNA doesn't want him. ROH, outside of a S.S.S and maybe a live promo doesn't have a need for him. Who would back him anyways if he wanted to start up again? A shame WSX isn't around. I'm serious, over the top MTV wrestling promotion and Heyman? Would have watched every episode.

That'll be a hell of a storyline when Harry Smith debuts. Plus you've got a built in storyline for when Nattie arrives.

They matched Triple H in height, though. and was during a time in which the main booker worked to have a storyline and character for everybody on the show.

The OaO Raw Thread - 9/17/2007

At this point, I really don't think they need it anymore. Tag wrestling as a whole hasn't meant much on Raw since 2002. Ditto Smackdown post- Londrick as they and MNM are the only teams who were helped by the tag titles.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

Flair gone from WWE? Ric Flair quit WWE this week over frustration with his push and a lack of any encouraging communication from the front office. There are now discussions to try to talk him into cooling off and agreeing to not quit. His situation doesn't appear to be at all related to the suspensions, although he's now more valuable with some names being gone for a month. If things don't work out, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Flair could be offered a sweet and tempting deal to be part of TNA's two hour launch. TNA is interested and aware of the situation. -PWTorch.com

    4,000 dead Americans

Altruistic? Come on, man. You can do better than this. When have the iraqis fucked with us? Never. We supported their shit, in fact. There wasn't one fucking good intention in the entire bunch. There are a handful of countries infinitely worse than Iraq. Why did we go into Iraq in the first place? I don't know. Oil? I doubt it. I don't see us bathing in black gold. A pretty good theory I've heard is just the fact that a superpower like America just has to slap around a little country every once in a while. Perhaps it was just to stimulate economic growth; America's economy (sans recent events) is pretty much en fuego right now, anyways. Plain and simple, there weren't any good intentions. We didn't want to instill democracy and all that bullshit, nor remove Saddam from power, nor rid them of nuclear weapons. It was clear that we were gonna do whatever the fuck we wanted to do. Is Iraq better off without Saddam? I dunno. They don't have an autocratic authoritarian as a leader, but the entire region is getting assraped by the specter of civil war and political, social, and military instability, not to mention insurgency. If the neo-cons that pretty much lined up most of the CPA is any indication of their will, what the White House wanted was a free market, secular, government to serve as a model in the middle east, evidently believing that they could somehow achieve that in less than two years. Of course hiring a great deal of inexperienced staff who were chosen merely due to their political affiliations and placing Paul Bremer, a stubborn micromanager whose fuck-ups linger to this day as the viceroy, will probably hurt one's chances.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

They were good opening match level act to get the crowd going. They got the 'Godfather pop', and that was it. It's no big loss to see them gone. So? Some talent they're putting out there get no pop. I'd rather hear a Godfather pop than none at all. Unless they beat Cade and Murdoch bloody, unprovoked, they should have been kept. Who's going to replace them, for the time being? Slap a catchphrase on a new face team and you'll get the same response within a couple of weeks. Robbie, Rory, Yeah Yeah?
