The irony is that the Horsemen would suffer from the the opposite problem when the nWo was around, more or less being a group of inneffectual tweeners/babyfaces, who came out and shouted a lot, but really never were able to strike back against the New World Order. Really the best example of a heel stable in WCW that was able to become strong, but was solidly defeated in the end, was the Dangerous Alliance.

I don't know, that execution just gave me the feeling that this alliance with the New Breed won't last long. No attack on an ECW Original, just some clapping, handshakes, and a group raise. Seemed fairly anti-climactic. I'll probably be wrong but a repeat from the Sting/nWo moment at Uncensored 97 is what I'm seeing in my head.

For those interested, a poster on the DVDVR message board has been posting chapters of Diana Hart's Book Under the Mat. Don't how much of what she said is true, but an interesting, if not disturbing read.

Was flipping though just now. Apparently Undressed is back on MTV for some reason. Seemed to part of a marathon if the TV guide channel lineup is any indication.

Two Champions get to overcome the odds over three men at Backlash. Yay.

Shane's great grandfather, Jess was a boxing/wrestling promoter.

Just once during all these long segments where everybody comes out, I want one guy's music to come on and him appear for no reason, explaining that since everyone was doing it, he wanted to be popluar.
-
For some reason I'm hoping for something random like a double jeopardy match with Cena vs. Edge and Orton vs. HBK with the winners facing each other.
-
I want Shane to bust out a boo-yeah at some point tonight.

"You may have us, but you'll never get off the island." " I beg to differ. You see, the other Raptors and I have constructed a crude suspension bridge to Venezuela. Once there, I shall lie low and assume odd-jobs under the name 'Mr Pilkington'. But perhaps I've said too much... "

I hope this show isn't indicative of the immediate Raw direction for the next couple of months.

Wait. What? Aren't half these guys dead now? Is this some sort of 1994 Smark Joke? He's referring to their kids who wrestle; Harry Smith, Teddy Hart, Natty Neidhart, Ray Gordy, and Cody Rhodes. I was afraid of that. It looks like "The Hart Foundation Day Care and Montessori Center." I'm surprised you didn't throw David Flair in that list as well. David retired, last I'd heard.

This lack of JR commentating is weird.

Shannon Moore wasn't released was he? What a bizarrely generic promo by Jeff.

Scott Hall grew in size, but it sure as hell wasn't vertical.

Hey Khali was the reason the Mexicools broke up, I just remembered.

I'll Guess Super Crazy as the victim.

For some reason I'd really like to see the WGTT on Smackdown for a while. Hell, pair them up with the likes of Booker as a quasi-Team Angle/Royal Court.
-
The result I read about Booker choosing to save Sharmell rather than go for the briefcase is something I liked. Makes him seem like a different heel than say Edge who if seeing Lita in the same position would likely shrug and keep climbing.

But given that everyone expected a shit match, can you blame them for wanting Cena-HBK to close? Come on. Funny thing is that Taker winning in a shitty title match while a superior match happened before it would have mirrored the Wrestlemania 10 years ago.
-
Is arguing about Wrestlemania sucking or not sucking a prerequisite now? Because that's basically what I've seen on almost every forum. I myself didn't see it, but I plan on getting the DVD. From what I understand its more or less a three match card, but then again WMX was a two match one so... As for Cena, his character does nothing for me, but from a wrestling match perspective, the guy is tremendous.
