Ah, the more innocent TSM days. Back when "unzips pants" gave me a rush of righteous anger and not a wave of nostalgia like now. I remember when I realized Brody was tank abbot, the first thing I thought of was "Didn't I call that guy a piece of shit once?" Brody's cool though. Edit: Ah, god damn prick, that was it.

Have a whacky neighbor called Joe Sixpack, and you'll have a winner.

If so I want discussion about federal protection from plunger attacks.

McCain's doing better than last time, but he's still coming across as too petty and petulant, especially when the polls suggest that his campaign needs to focus on the issues.
-
The Accused reference had me dying. edit: As did the Deliverance one.
-
Palin's just coming across as petty, especially after Biden actually makes legitmate points.

I have vague memories of the yellow board, but everything prior to that's a blur. Around 7 years or so and haven't really done anything. Always thought I'd be active in the wrestling folders, but my strong interest (still read some results and have shows on the background) in wrestling in general has died down in the past 16 months. Probably because everything I wanted to see (RVD as champ, Booker as champ, ECW making a comeback) more or less happened, so now I'm just burned out. Largely come here for the Movies/TV/DVD folder or Current Events, though I still read some stuff in General Wrestling.

Here in Bloomington at the moment. Fixing up my house before I start looking for jobs in Indy in a few months.

There have been candidates I like, ones I dislike, but with Palin its not even a matter of like or dislike, the one question I keep asking in my head is "Why is she here?"
-
Any thoughts on whether this extreme partisan strategy as far as speeches will hurt or help? I expected the GOP to attack back, but at this level the possibility of backfire seems likely.
-
Other than Huckabee to some degree, the overall pattern seems to be former GOP candidates going as partisan as possible.

F4W/WON WWE Notes - Summarized notes, radio notes, etc.
BorneAgain replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Will there ever be any idea of why Vince has blacklisted Savage? The Stephanie story seems like a smutty rumor, but there's never been another explanation as to why Vince, a guy who's taken Warrior, Hall, Hogan, and Nash back, refuses to acknowledge him. -
I'm not the biggest Huckabee fan, but he's a breath of fresh air after Romney.
-
Romney's speech was little more than an advertisement to extreme right wingers about how great a candidate he would be a few years.

Seeing people at the RNC with environmental signs, ones about the country being green is just strange. By the way, has there been any statement regarding the fact that even if McCain wins he's stuck with a Democratic majority in both houses?

Let's Talk About...MECW, XWF, and WWA
BorneAgain replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
MECW was a glorified indy in the brief run it had. Went to a show back in 2001, that's positively morbid when I think back to it, as half the major talent I can remember being there (Hennig, Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge, Terry Gordy) are now all dead with Gordy passing less than a week after I saw him. -
If they bring Regal back in the next few weeks as GM, him inserting himself in the EC title match for the good of Raw could work.

I am at a complete loss to understand how hard it is to screw up the Sonic forumla. Granted I'm not a game designer, but what exactly is stopping the company from simply using the style of gameplay from the 2D games in a 3D world with a decent camera and without unnecessary gimmicks? Its quite sad that 10+ year old footage of Sonic X-treme still looks more appealing than what they're putting out now.

As someone who enjoyed Begins, but felt the antagonists weren't as interesting as Batman, now having seen Dark Knight all I can say is god damn, now that's a villian. Honestly the thing I loved most about Ledger as Joker is that he came across not as being deliberately cruel or taunting, but just as a twisted psychopath who lives in his own world with no rules. He gets the joke. No one else does.

Only if he wore tissue boxes on his feet and built a model of Brother Love out of wood... a Spruce Bruce. Vince: Coach, go shake Bruce's hand. Coach: But sir, he's made of wood. Vince: *cocks gun* I said shake his hand.

I always liked Poehler back in her Upright Citizens Brigade days, though she's done nothing for me since she started at SNL. I'm curious how many well known talent they'll get for the spin off in contrast to the original which outside of Carrell and Hardin was mostly made up of unknowns.
-
Considering that Matt's on ECW, Jeff's on Smackdown, and the talent exchange allows people from both shows to wrestle on the other, in kayfabe, how is this a rare appearance? Matt's been wrestling on Smackdown all the time lately anyway.
-
I miss the seperate entrances of Miz and Morrison. Just a little quirk that added to the characters that neither could even handle sharing the spotlight. Ah, well.
-
As the only wrestler in the group who actually gets heat, I'd say yeah he does.

Wait until a couple of weeks, then we'll see... Did you know: "WWE Smackdown was the first sporting event following 9/11, therefore singlehandedly helping the nation recover as a whole."
