If the hepatitis issue hadn't happened, I would bet on a Bob Orton appearance. Kevin Sullivan Incidentally, Orton's undefeated at SS as well, isn't he? I'm surprised they haven't mentioned his SS title win in '04. Nah, he lost in the Elimination Chamber in 2003. (Yet another reason it should have been Flair in there)

Like what's been said so many times before AI was on its way to becoming an enjoyable movie until the last half hour. Then it just kills you.

I just wanted to contribute. Maybe I'm just not getting it, I just don't get what you mean. The Smackdown Six (the nickname dubbed by the IWC): Eddie, Edge, Rey, Chavo, Benoit, and Angle. They were programmed heavily against each other in fall of 2002 by then booker Paul Heyman in a variety of matches on Smackdown as well as on PPV. They were the three teams (Edge/Rey, Eddie/Chavo and Angle/Benoit) that made up the tag division when the Smackdown tag belts were first introduced. Post-2002 only Chavo and Eddie teamed regularly as Angle turned heel and Edge was injured. The comment was just a note on the coincidence that some members of the group always seem to face each other at Summerslam.

Useless Summerslam fact: At least two members of the Smackdown six have fought each other at every SS since 2002. Its been Angle/Rey & Eddie/Edge, Benoit/Rhyno/Tajiri/Eddie, Eddie/Angle, Rey/Eddie, and now Chavo/Rey.

On him being President: JBL: I'll make Farooq minister of my liquor cabinet.

And at least then there was a chance of customer discount.

NOD vs. Ahmed/Road Warriors from 13 was a fun brawl and in my opinion was the second best match on the card. (Not that there was much competition mind you.)

I think this short build up doesn't lend itself to a Batista win. Yeah, Booker-Rey had a short build, but hell Rey had the title for 3 and half months at that point and the writing was on the wall especially with the Chavo turn more than obvious. Plus with Cena looking more and more likely to win (in his hometown no less) a Booker win, maybe via Kennedy, is hardly out of the question. If anything I can see them holding off hotshotting the title till the CW premiere if just to build up immediate new interest.

From PWInsider Dark Match: *WWE Cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms defeated Jimmy Yang. Yang was back to doing his cowboy gimmick. Smackdown: *Batista pinned Sylvan in under a minute. *Sylvester Turkay defeated Scotty Too Hotty. *WWE United States champion Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley was announced for later tonight. *Kristal was interviewing WWE Tag Team champions Paul London and Bryan Kendrick when they were attacked by KC James and Idol Stevens. *Ken Kennedy pinned Tatanka after pulling the tights. *Backstage, Vicki Guerrero asks Teddy Long to call off the Summerslam match between Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. Long turns down the request. *The Undertaker defeated The Great Khali in a Last Man Standing Match. *Vito defeated Scott ? (possibly billed as Scott Fuller). *Bobby Lashley defeated WWE United States champion Finlay via DQ when William Regal interfered. *WWE World champion King Booker came out, cutting a promo about his Summerslam title defense against Batista. Batista comes out and Booker commands him to kiss Booker's royal foot. Batista steps on his foot, then sits in Booker's royal throne to end Smackdown.

You get that from the WC boards too Bruiser? I mentioned it in Comments That Don't Warrant a Thread.

Not sure how reliable this is, but I felt it warranted a post at least. Supposedly a poster (a well respected moderator) on the Wrestlecrap boards was able to get copy of the new McMahon DVD early. Apparently it has Stephanie saying on camera that Vince suggested to Steph about doing a incest angle with Vince being the father of her baby. When she declined, he threw out the idea of Shane being the father, which she also declined. Vince also wanted to put the Stephanie/HHH wedding on PPV. Take that for what you will.

I'm guessing this is the natural accent that she's tried to hide a lot of the time, not that she's been that successful.

I've got nothing against Cena, but I laughed at this.
-
No Booker? Weird. Unless he was doing commentary for the tag main event in which case the show is a must see.
-
Any chance of SD spoilers, slimm? edit: and he does as I typed the question.

Man Kurt's so messed up, phantom moves harm him.

They're big Angle fans I guess.

I liked that crackers line for some reason. Must have been the delivery.
-
I hate that spot. Knox holding the ropes makes no sense.
-
Wait a minute... Does that mean no more Simon Dean on Smackdown?

From what I remember I don't even recall them encountering each other until Survivor Series 93. I was under the impression that was beginning of the feud.

When was the last I Quit match?

God I hope Booker retains somehow. It would suck for him to lose the title to Batista after what's going to be a two week build. Him holding the belt could lead to potential rematches at both the CW premiere and No Mercy. Kennedy being in there to make it a three way would have built on a previous feud, given him a significant rub, and allowed them an out for Dave to look strong ( Booker pins Kennedy following a Batista Bomb). Ah well.
