Shane Douglas must be going nuts.
-
Have they dropped the Foley/Flair in favor of this? Good lord. Show looks good in a suit though.
-
They're not even hiding the Bushwhacker comparisons. I mark for the "I'm to smart for that, young man!"
-
I thought Dogma was on par with Chasing Amy personally, both right behind Clerks.
-
You think Henry/Batista will go on last or do just consider that to tbe the co-main event with Rey/Booker?
-
Booker and Sharmell in royal gear and the pseudo Bushwhacker gestures of the Spirit Squad are the only things working for that poster.
-
Well they're building to Booker-Rey already. Royal Beating The last time fans at the Wachovia Center saw Rey Mysterio, he was being helped to the back by referee Charles Robinson after an attack by Mark Henry. But unbeknownst to the SmackDown fans and viewers, that wasn’t the end of Mysterio’s night. As Batista continued his assault on Mark Henry around the ringside area, King Booker was waiting for Mysterio in the back. As soon as Robinson helped the World Champion through the curtain, the new No. 1 Contender pounced. In a brutal attack, King Booker pounded the champion, slamming him into tables, equipment cases and anything else within range. Robinson tried to break it up, but Queen Sharmell and the belligerent King kept him at bay. Finally, after Booker apparently felt the damage was done, he decided to add insult to injury. While holding the champion up, the King called for his Queen to come over with the finishing blow: a vicious kick to the groin. Mysterio dropped instantly, and the satisfied royal couple sauntered away as Robinson rushed to Mysterio’s aid. King Booker will face Mysterio for the World Championship at The Great American Bash on July 23, and he has definitely made a statement in firing the first shot.

For as great as this WM is recognizable for, I barely remember this match and feud. Shane had just brought WCW before Vince could, Trish was Vince's mistress while Linda was in a comatose state. Stephanie was a face as the McMahon kids were against Vince for doing what he was doing to Linda. Foley got involved because I think he still had the magic contract and he was still angry at Vince, so he injected himself into the match as the referee. (There was talks of Foley/McMahon but that didn't work out). The match was the standard WWE: Sports Entertainment match. Shane hit a couple big spots including the debut of the Shane Terminator. Stephanie and Trish had a catfight outside the ring Linda came out of the coma (acting the whole time, so it was hinted) and she kicked Vince in the grapefruits(with the awkward moment of Vince spreading his legs for Linda). Actually as I remember it Stephanie was a heel and had been ever since she turned on Foley back in December of 2000. She was aligned with Vince but hated Trish because she wanted to be, ugh "Daddy's only little girl". Steph only stopped clashing with Stratus after the latter begged Vince to take her back and Trish was more or less in a subservient role until X-7.

Dark Match: Shelton vs. Hary Smith King Booker wins a battle royal to earn a title shot at Rey Mysterio’s Smackdown title at the Great American Bash. Mr. Kennedy d. Super Crazy when Psicosis distracted Crazy. They announced that later Batista goes against Mark Henry at Great American Bash The Great Khali NC Tatanka Vito d. Psicosis via submission due to distraction from Super Crazy The Pitbulls d. Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki, when Noble pinned Scotty Bobby Lashley d. Gregory Helms in a non title match 3 Way announced for Great American Bash is Lashley vs. Finley vs. Regal Batista came out, called out Mark Henry, he came down the walkway then Mysterio came down, Henry tossed Mysterio into the wall and Batista destroyed Henry. It does have the battle royal as listed in the WWE.com preview, so they could be legit, and they don't sound too inaccurate.

Sabu's not suspended, only fined so he'll likely be on the show for the next month. -
Actually do the pick your partner match with just 2 on 2, or another Raw-Smackdown tag vs. Mysterio/Booker or Batista/Henry.

Well we know where Rob'll be for the next month. RVD Suspended for 30 Days RVD Suspended By Louie Dee July 4, 2006 Moments after screwing Rob Van Dam out of the ECW Championship, Paul Heyman gave the following statement to ECW.com: “As of this moment, Rob Van Dam has been suspended for 30 days.” I approached Heyman immediately as he came backstage following the match to ask him why he screwed Van Dam. Heyman only smiled and offered the above statement. I followed him to ask him why RVD was suspended and why he was screwed out of the ECW Championship…but he only walked faster. When I finally got to his office door, Heyman slammed the door in my face. Unfortunately, what should have been RVD’s holiday weekend homecoming went from bad to worse to downright horrible. On Monday morning, everything seemed cool as RVD walked into the Wachovia Center as both the ECW and WWE Champion; Tuesday night, however, he left the building with no gold and no job for a month. After losing the WWE Championship to Edge in a Triple Threat Match on RAW, RVD also lost his ECW Championship to Big Show live on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night. With the referee down, Van Dam seemingly had the match won after a Five-Star Frog Splash. Paul Heyman went to count the pinfall like he did at One Night Stand…but before he got to three, Heyman stopped and stared at RVD. Van Dam looked like he had just lost his best friend, and as he and Heyman did some jaw jacking, Big Show recovered. He spun Rob around and nailed him with a chair, and after a vicious chokeslam on that same chair, ECW had a new champion. And now, with the suspension levied by Heyman, it looks like RVD won’t have a chance to right the wrong he has been handed.

Eye of the Beholder and Time Enough at Last, as cliche as it is to say, are just some of my favorites. Also a fan of The Dummy and Number 12 Looks Just Like You.

Preview for Smackdown at WWE.com: There will certainly be no brotherly love when WWE storms into Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center for Friday Night SmackDown. The biggest story—and perhaps one of the most anticipated and talked about stories of the year—is the return of Batista. It’s been six months since WWE fans have seen The Animal in the ring, which has left many people wondering how he’ll address the situation involving the Championship he was forced to vacate. Will Batista still be the force he once was, or has injury tamed the beast? But Batista's return isn't the only huge story for SmackDown. A Battle Royal will be held to determine the No. 1 Contender for Rey Mysterio's World Championship for The Great American Bash. Who will be the next Superstar to try and bring Mysterio's amazing dream ride as Champion to an end? We will find out Friday night. Also, Mark Henry was out for blood last week, decimating the Guerrero family name and even going as far as saying he’d spit in the face of Chavo Guerrero’s late Uncle Eddie for Chavo’s interference in Henry’s match with World Champion Rey Mysterio. After unleashing a ferocious beating on Chavo’s, Rey tore down the ramp to come to his friend’s aide. Unfortunately, Mysterio was met with the same fierce attack as Chavo, and looked to be knocked out as “The World’s Strongest Man” left the ring. What kind of shape will the Champion and Chavo be in this week after suffering such a vicious beating? The Great Khali continued to wreak havoc on SmackDown, rolling Gunner Scott into a body bag, mocking Undertaker. Then, through his manager Daivari, Khali issued the Deadman a challenge in a Punjabi Prison Match—a first of its kind in WWE—to take place at The Great American Bash. Will the Deadman break his silence and respond to the challenger, or is Undertaker as afraid of the 420-pound giant as Daivari insists? All Hail King Booker perhaps?

Yup. Last time on Raw was October 01, when Austin beat Angle. I was there.
-
New champ. I'm surprised. Honestly.
-
You are about 6 years too late for that call. Star Wars saved him for a while. He was really good as Principal Firebush in "Ten Things I Hate About Commandments." Was outshined by Sinead O'Connor in my opinion, but to each is own.

Raw and Smackdown are so fundamentally different at this point. Even beyond the wrestling aspect, SD feels like a late 80s, early 90s style program with Raw firmly lifting everything from the Atttitude era. (ECW, DX, more sophmoric humor than usual). And where the hell are Foley and Flair anyway?
-
Estrada's Unlimted Videos has him addressing the crowd. Orton's promos still suck.
-
Cue Brook's new man.
-
Blackface. Man we've had everything tonight.
-
RVD's assface, Highlander's unspectacular debut, DX using tactics 10 years old and humor around the same age, and Stryker's gay tights.

Crazy airplane pilot gimmick if that one chick is brought in. I'm calling it now.
