Does Orton hold the record for survival in these matches? Hogan's the only other guy I can think of who was that succesful.
-
God its, SS 2003 all over again. Incidentally with the same guy on the other side (Orton). Taker has to come in and eliminate Randy just to make this believable.

Smackdown Spoilers from England...

Randall Keith Orton -
Really? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Space Mountain WOOOOOOOOOOOOO <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dirtiest Player in the Game indeed.

Don't you know? The UK's just like Canada. Its bizzaro world.
-
Is it just my hearing or was asshole pronounced slightly differently by the crowd.
-
I'm expecting both Booker-Benoit and possible Tag Team match with MNM vs. Mexicools.

In regards to Champions turning, would Angle the Smackdown after Armageddon 2002 count? (Because could make the case he never turned face to begin with)

Its a WWE.com feature that usually airs happenings from Raw during the commercial breaks. Tonight its been used for other wrestlers saying something about Eddie, and some memorable Eddie moments.

Juvi won a cruiserweight battle royal. The competitors included Tajiri, Shane Helms, Paul London, Kid Kash, Brian Kendrick, Scotty 2 Hotty, Nunzio, Funaki, Psicosis, Super Crazy and Juvi. It came down to London and Juvi. London was on Juvi's shoulders, and then both went over the top rope. London hit the floor first, and Juvi managed to keep himself on the ring apron. Chris Benoit defeated Triple H in about 13 minutes. Benoit finished things off with the top rope headbutt, locked in the crossface, and then managed to leverage Hunter into a pinning combination from the crossface to get the victory. After the match, they hugged and shook hands. Dean Malenko came out, and while he did not say anything, he celebrated with Benoit and held his arm up in victory. Afterward, Benoit said, "Eddie was a man who walked through every possible valley you can imagine. Eddie was a true inspiration to every life he touched. We'll always love you and miss you." The crowd didn't leave until Benoit's speech was over, as they were very interested in what he was saying.

Not at all. I'm glad that in Eddie's last match it was him being the "Lying, Cheating Stealing" wrestler so many fans and smarks loved alike, with him coming down with the lowrider looking as happy as he was a year and half ago. It wasn't his best match, but it was Eddie being Eddie. and sometime you can't ask for more than that.

I think the biggest thing I'll remember about Eddie was that he always found a way to entertain the audience. Whether it was cutting some incredbile promos in the feud with Rey, giving some great facial expressions in the stuff with Batista, or even just pulling out some of the best matches in the past 10 years, I rarely seen a perfomer more dedicated to giving something memorable to the people. Rest In Peace, Eddie, you will be missed in more ways than one.

Even when one doesn't account for the sheer booking changes that are likely to occur, I have to believe that both Orton and Taker's directions will have to be changed somewhat. Having Randy bragging about killing legends and Taker supposedly returning from the dead would be in such poor taste right now, that something will have to change. Other than that I don't know. There hasn't been a death that could so dramtically alter the future of a company like this in a long time.

Will Boogeyman ever actually wrestle or will he be the new Just Joe and appear in only backstage skits?
-
Would Diesel technically count?
-
Holy Shit!
-
Either that or "The Game Show" where HHH asks wrestler's questions and pedigrees them regardless of answer.
-
Is that a shoot? Did his wife really leave him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, actually. It was reported about two months ago.
-
Good crowd in addition to this decent Raw.
-
Does that mean we should start sleeping through RAW? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering I thought that the most recent Raw was some bizarre nightmare, I'd say its appropriate.

The shows are seemingly complete opposites in terms of how they do things. Raw: World Champion contiues to be stale, as they stick him in crap feuds with the general manager while his competition (heels included) are getting cheered more. Smackdown: Making the World Champ not only strong, but smart, and not letting him get suckered in or beated by the usual heel tricks. Raw: Treats the mid-level title as an afterthought, even having a heel call the face who wins it, celebrating in mediocrity. Smackdown: Having two workers who have good history together fued, with the title as the focal point, with the heel doing a great deal to win it. Raw: Having one team on the show, who actually rarely appear, despite potential, and generally ignore the division entirely. Smackdown: Bring in fresh talent, creating new teams, who all want the belts, creating a competitive division. Raw: Has no real future talent, keeping great workers on the B-shows, often with crappy gimmicks. Smackdown: Allowing rookies and newcomers time to get over, pushing those the demonstrate obvious charisma, and putting them in television main events. Raw: Heel turns, and other possible notable events are kept on the internet, to allow time for bizzare sketches with non-workers. Smackdown: Making heel or face turns vital parts of the show, and having comedic characters played simply for laughs, and for the most part kept away from the serious elements. Its like Night and Day.

VISamania would run wild. LOL @ the fans chanting You Tapped Out at Cena. Excellent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm wondering if WWE would cave to fan reactions and try a double turn with Cena and Angle. I know it wouldn't work since Cena still gets enough face pops to make him a popular face champ, but it would still be interesting to theorize. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If they were to present Angle as the legitimate athlete who deserves a championship, and Cena as some carefully processed corporate figure (Ala Rock in late 98) who's all flash and no substance, it could work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing is, The Rock never really changed his character from NOD ROCK to brief tweener rock to Corporate Rock. He was essentially the same guy. That's a complete make over for Cena. He'd basically have to no longer play to the crowd and revert to the 2003 summer heel he was to get that transformation. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tone down any pandering (real representing real) and exaggerate Cena talking about how legitimate he is, and all his rap sucess, (somewhat like Rock promoting his movie stautus) and how he has made something of himself unlike some, and give him some ridiculous bling-bling, could possibly help.
