Battle lines are drawn, Mik. You know where my loyalties lie -
Exactly. I felt the need to give you an ego stroke. Enjoy.

Goddamn did you take that bait. Hook, line and sinker.

UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin
Lord of The Curry replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
So this fight has really set off the debate of "What constitutes a 10-8 round?" and the 2nd is difficult to judge because of two things.... 1) Forrest controlled the round too much to get a 10-9 2) Rampage didn't take enough damage to warrant the type of damage you'd expect to see in a 10-8 round For me, what could've been the deciding factor in the two judges eyes to make it a 10-8 was the fact that Rampage did absolutely shitnothing to get out of mount. -
Wasn't Herring coming off of something like ACL or knee surgery before the JOB fight which is why he couldn't sprawl for shit? Not to say Brock won't take him down but yeah, like Rudo said there's nothing Brock has shown yet to justify saying he can beat Herring.

Deke is already calling MVP out on his retardedness so he's off to a good start. -

If you can give somebody a 10-8 off buckling on a leg kick there's no way you could avoid giving Rampage a 10-8 for the first due to the uppercut. Judging is a 2-way street. -

Carlito- If that's your argument fine but using that there's no way you can justify a 10-8 for Forrest in the second as he never came close to finishing Rampage. -

So Juanito Ibarra thinks Rampage got the first round 10-8. Wonder what fight he was actually watching while the real one was going on. -

Oh man, that fight would not end well for Griffin. BJ would spank him standing and Griffin wouldn't be able to hang with Penn on the mat. I'm sure Joe has told Tyson the horror stories about how much blood he lost. -
Announced Round By Round scoring in MMA

Won't happen. I don't know how it affects the results of your poll due to clear evidence in the UFC 86 thread that you're REALLY bent about Rampage losing. But sorry, yeah. Doubt it. -

Moot point as Lyoto will take the belt from Forrest before anybody else. I don't know if Forrest and Wandy would fight each other, Chuck and Rashad are tied up and they likely won't give Rampage an immediate rematch leaving Machida as the only logical choice right now which SUCKS for Forrest as he's said in the past he doesn't want to fight him. -

I've heard everything from an early 2009 return to him never being able to fight again because the damage is too severe. Hopefully it's the former and not the latter. -

I was wondering to myself last night if putting Tyson against Aurelio was a semi-political move because the big criticism is of Griffin not being able to finish and they put him up against somebody that's never been finished before. He's pretty much right behind Florian and Huerta in terms of challengers but I'm not sure if he'll ever get there until he actually takes somebody out instead of taking them to the score cards. -

Way I see it the fifth round was the deal-breaker and Forrest simply showed a better will to win then Rampage. Good for Mr. Griffin although I'm pretty sure Keith Jardine should be on suicide watch by now. Also, all grumblings about decisions aside........COTE@!# -

Whether or not this actually pans out or not, depending on the outcome of the Irvin fight Silva is likely to defend against Okami in October according to the conference call with Dana on Thursday. -

Mik's gonna be bent you stole his thunder. So, Forrest broke Wanderlei's nose in training for this fight. By all accounts he's handling this pretty seriously so I expect Rampage to work for his victory. -

I'm glad this is happening aside from the awesomeness because Diego has always been a pro when it comes to showing up in good shape/making weight (aside from UFC 69 which doesn't count) so the pressure is going to be on Alves to make weight. -

Joe is also a good wrestler and strong so it could go both ways but yeah, Gleison has to be one of the bigger LW's this side of Sherk so I suppose it's possible. -

Alves vs Diego in September. OH YEAH. That's what I'm talkin' about. -
I'm trying to go into this movie with an unbiased view of things but all of those "Best movie ever" and "Ledger deserves an Oscar" talk is making it difficult.

Broken Social is no more. You'll likely be seeing Kevin Drew + random members but in terms of performing as a full ensemble they've got that on the back burner.
