Man, this card is hurtin' for some big names. I'm kinda hoping it blows up in UFC's face with the way they so hastily put it together. -
UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

I'm worried about the two LW fights, mainly because I see wrestling-centric UD victories for Joe and Griffin. Tyson is almost always exciting and the possibility of an Aurelio sub heightens the tension when they go to the mat but I see Joe playing it safe coming off the BJ tooling and humping his way to victory of Gleison. I think Cote gets tapped quite easily but I hope I'm proven wrong but Lytle/Koscheck is a potential FOTYC if Josh shows the agressiveness he brought to the table against Hazlett. -
UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

So, does anybody care about this show? Like I've said before the main card is solid but there's a distinct lack of buzz surrounding the main event and I'm not sure what (if any) impact that might have on the overall buyrate. The fact that both Forrest and Rampage haven't fought in a year and that neither of them came off of TUF looking better then before doesn't help things. Just 'cause, picks at the moment... Rampage, TKO R3 Almeida, Sub R1 Koscheck, DEC (This is the safe bet but I'm rooting for Lytle to take his head off) Stevenson, UD Griffin, UD -

Hamill vs Rich is interesting but I'm not sure if it's in the good way. Franklin, obviously has the advantage in terms of the standup but we've seen Hamill take some heavy shots before and not flich so I'm not sure if Franklin will be the one to topple him. Franklin also got taken down by Travis Lutter and while Hamill isn't a grappler of Lutter's calibre he's unquestionably stronger and a better wrestler so I see him taking Rich down at will but not being able to do much else once he's got him down. Hamill by UD at this point, methinks. -

So, looks like the Franklin to 205 rumors are legit and he's taking on Matt Hamill at UFC 88 in Atlanta. Hmmmmm. Don't really know what to make of that one. -

Congrats to GSP for being the only MMA competitor to be included in the Best Fighter award at the ESPY's. GSP will be beating out Floyd Mayweather, Kelly Pavlik, Holly Holm and Joe Calzaghe for said award. -

Sims likely can't compete due to the submission loss to Steve Bosse at the TKO show a month ago. Also, the shame of tapping out to Steve F'n Bosse should be so great that Sims doesn't show his face in public for a while. I have no doubt that if said medical issue wasn't around we'd be seeing Sims vs Bigfoot. -

Well, seeing as how most of the HW's in the world are either booked for the Affliction show or under contract to Daddy Warbucks......not really, no. Elite's only option was to hotshot somebody like Pee Wee or Brett Rogers into the spot and they seem to have plans for both of them. -

Looks like the Kharitonov fight was a bust and Justin Eiler will be facing Bigfoot Silva for the EliteXC HW title. -
"Amy gave the character of 'Holly' an openness and matured innocence that exposed a new side of Michael (Steve Carell). She placed her character right on his level. With her, we now go into our fifth season with the possibilities of our first," said Paul Lieberstein, who was recently promoted to executive producer for season five and previously served as co-executive producer of "The Office." Holy hyperbole Batman.

Won't happen. Only reason it could last that long is if Nog toys with him a bit. -

I'm thinking Dewees circles for at least 10 seconds before Rog lands the takedown. Then again, it took his brother all of 10 seconds to sweep and choke out Timmy so we may be looking at under 20 seconds total. -

Unfortunately, they weren't. Edwin Dewees will be moving up in weight to get subbed in 30 seconds. I mean, if Trigg can run through him in less then 2 minutes I literally expect Nog to take him out in under 30. -
All of humanity needs to see Wall E. That's pretty much it.

I loved it. This, to me was Pixars crowning achievement. Beautiful CGI in terms of space animation, great soundtrack and a ridiculously tender love story that kids will not appreciate until they're older. I can only hope that Wall E and EVE go down as one of the best couples of my lifetime. Film of the Year thus far for me.

You are absolutely right. I mean, it's not like I was there live for any of them. -

"Bisping's striking may be near Silva's quality in terms of fluidity, form, and quickness. He just doesn't have Silva's power." Okay, the only correct part of that sentance was you saying he doesn't have Silva's power. -
Ratatouille was weird because it was a lot more toned-down then most Pixar films but the story/message were still there and the food animation was awesome. Every time I watch that movie I have the urge to eat and/or whip up a fancy dish of some kind.

What power? I was close enough in Montreal to see him unload bomb after bomb on McCarthy that did nothing. He can strike fine but the only time I've ever actually seen him pull off a standing KO is against Kristian Rothermael on TUF3, other then that it takes an accumulation of strikes. Another question mark here is Bisping's chin as he's never been put up against somebody with Leben's power. -

Okay, not technically sound but Leben packs more power and, unlike Bisping, can actually KO people with his shots. -

Not disputing how this fares from a UK standpoint but this better have a seriously stacked undercard because that main event won't appeal to most casual North American fans. And speaking of that fight, I'd love to hear how Bisping plans on winning it. The only thing I see him having on Leben is quickness, other then that Chris has the better wrestling, striking, grappling and chin.
