This card will be called UFC 75: Champion vs Champion. A press conference today in London announced that the following fights will be taking place.... Main Event: Quinton Jackson vs Dan Henderson Mirko Cro-Cop vs Chieck Kongo Michael Bisping vs Matt Hammil So, UFC ain't 'bout giving Mirko an easy comeback fight. Interesting. And 'Page/Hendo will rock all of our collective socks off.

BJ getting a title shot when guys like Stevenson and Fisher have a more rightful claim to the belt is bullshit. It's not like this is a WW title situation where BJ has a claim as a former champion. As great as the LW division has been, Sherk getting a title shot with no previous LW fights was bunk and this won't help matters.

He didn't just get a lucky kick and KO Mirko. He took him down and completely fucked him up in the first round. Then Herb Dean stood them up because he's the shittiest ref in the world. And the part where I said it's a lucky kick is.......where? Oh, right. Nowhere. Carlito- While the comment about Dean being the worlds shittiest ref is a bit off base (I reserve that honor for Stevie Mazz) the standup in the fight was bullshit. Watch Gonzaga constantly work Cro-Cop over with elbows as he slowly worked him towards the fence. The minute he gets near the fence Dean stands it up. Shitty reffing and quite obviously biased.

This even is being called UFC 74: Respect. Add Patrick Cote vs Kendall Grove to the list of rumored fights.

Well, the fighters will be running a seminar @ Kombat Arts which is kinda close to Burlington but still in Mississauga. I want to go just to see how rowdy the place will get compared to the Sholess Joes where I usually hold PPV parties but I'm not sure it's worth the transit/cover charge.

Bumped because it's on tonight and I also finished last weeks episode. An improvement on the first one, mainly because this one was rockin' appearances by Charlie Utter and Francis Wolcott of Deadwood fame. I figured it would've been John that brought Shaun out of his coma but when I saw Bill with his hand inside the jacket I knew he'd brought the bird to the hospital. Like Mik said, Ed O'Neil is far and away the best part about this show. And is it wrong that I find Kai attractive?

Damn fun night. - Huerta is all "Oh shit, I'm losing this fight" and turns it up a notch in the second. Evans definitely earned himself an invite back. - Leities looking great with the JUDO and the JUDO CHOKE (or at least they called it as such). - Maynard/Emerson was good until the finish. Then it got balls-out awesome. The body-shot Maynard threw from on top that started the damage was gully. Crazy ending, though. To play Devils Advocate in terms of seeing where the NSAC is coming from, Gray was fucked up upon impact and Emerson tapped a few seconds later, which I'm guessing is why they made the ruling. It just sucks for Gray because until the decision was read he was fully under the impression that he'd won. - Lauzon/Melendez was lots of fun with Melendez toying with Joe by giving up his back until Joe's like "Fuck this, I'll just go for a triangle next time." - Fucking Manny. You were my pick to take the fight and by the looks of things you would've. Ah well, you'll get another shot and we now have a Diaz as a UFC Champ (albeit of a reality show). - Seeing Wang go limp was grand. Goldberg jizzing all over Cole's shitty-as-hell head kick was retarded. - Well, nobody (including myself) thought Jens would survive the first round so good for him. Now Jens can go get raped by Faber and BJ can go lose to Hughes and GSP again.

While I'm sure Page/Hendo will be a very good fight I'd rather see Hendo defending against Shogun. It's going to be very interesting to see who Strike Force puts up against Cung Le next. A Shamrock/Le match would be just as big, if not bigger then Ninja/Shammy.

Yeah, because it's smart business to book two brand-new champs against each others in their first defenses.

I think Griffin will get somebody fairly known, like Pellegrino, Fisher or Thomas for his next fight. How they match up Tavares will be pretty interesting when it happens, though they should capitalize on it sooner rather then later. Goddamn 155 is awesome.
