Rashad's boxing is also way better then Tito's. Fast hands and good accuracy.
-
I was going to make a comment about Forrest stuffing 90% of Tito's takedowns until I remembered that Tito was injured for that fight. Now that I've said that I'm interested in seeing Tito/Rashad.

Angle turns heel and sides with Russo. Calling it.

This might only apply to myself and banky in terms of people who care but Owen Pallett beating out New Pornographers, BSS and Wolf Parade for the Polaris Music Prize is pretty big.

Fun pilot, this show definetly has potential but it also could collapse under the weight of what appears to be a seriously complicated plot. The Good - Hiro is the man. Instead of questioning things like others do he embraces his gifts and realizes he's been chosen. I can see him being the truest hero of them all due to his powers. - Pete's storyline was done well enough and he plays his character with an odd charm. The brother saving him was an "Oh shit!" moment. - Cheerleader. Mmmmmmm. Mangled hand. Eugh. Evil dad? Oh my. The Bad - Ali Larter sucks the.......well.......everything out of this show. Which blows because I get the feeling that her and Hiro are going to be the most important characters on the show. I can see her powers being a Dark Pheonix/Jekyll and Hyde type of thing. - The "loser best friend" thingy with the cheerleader has to go. - I hope that this show actually introduces people who chose to use their powers for evil rather then then typical "Evil Corporation/Government" storyline they appear to be going for.

"Back in the 60's I made love to many, many women, often outdoors in the rain and mud. And if a man happened to, you know, slip in there......there'd be no way of knowing." - Creed, stealing the show

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...
Lord of The Curry replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
It was a concept season, Dana and Co. knew they'd be taking a gamble signing these guys, I don't think they'll be too pissed off. Plus, the Ultimate Fight Night finales have a rep for putting on awesome fights (Bonnar/Griffin, Sanchez/Diaz, Herman/Grove) so people are going to tune in regardless. There are some guys that whether or not they win will get a second shot (Cote, Sell) and guys that don't even belong in their current weight classes (Serra, Thomas) but I think in 6 months when the champs have beat whoever wins this show it'll all be forgotten. -
Hungover as a ma'fucka yesterday, didn't feel like posting. THOUGHTS. - Poor Jens. Goddamnit that was heartbreaking to watch. I imagine now we'll be seeing Lauzon vs the winner of Sherk/Florian for the LW Title in December. - Rashad shows that he's actually worth a damn. Fantastic wrestling and positioning and the bar we were at exploded when he got mount and started raining down punches. Rashad vs Forrest in November for the first crack at the winner of Tito/Chuck makes the most sense at this point. - Griffin is a fucking beast. Jesus. - Melvin entertains us by throwing bombs and almost soccer-kicking Gabe in his head but hammers home the message that anybody with good boxing and/or conditioning would murder him. Melvin vs Stout or Hominick would be an awesome throwdown. - Penn/Hughes was a ton of fun to watch at the bar as most of our table was split down the centre on who to cheer for. Rudo was going for Penn, I wanted Hughes to take it. I thought Hughes was done when Penn got the triangle on him. Third round shows why BJ is BJ and Hughes is Hughes. If Penn isn't finishing you in the first round he's not winning the fight, bottom line. Fun as hell show, 64 has a lot to live up to but I think they can do it.

The Amazing Race: 10 Edition
Lord of The Curry replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Television & Film
The Beauty Queens have been the most pleasent surprise of the race so far, not shying away from the grittier tasks if it means getting ahead time-wise. Them being smoking hot doesn't hurt either. I liked Peter and Sara in the first episode but now the crying and zen-like calmness the two bring to the table is fucking annoying. Team Zoolander taking the whole shebang was only reinforced last night as they're really the only team that is getting their entire backstory pre-race told to the audience. -
I re-watched Thursdays ep tonight, still awesome despite the more serious approach it took. Oscar and Roy getting genuine emotional context to work from was nice. I'm curious to see where they're going with Andy (Ed Helms) and Jim, in terms of their working relationship. It looks like they've got him pegged as the new Dwight but I hope it goes somewhere less predictable.

Ed's good but MacDonald is no slouch. I mean, come on. "The Athelete"? Awesome.
-
I was thinking of the possibility of Michael somehow getting demoted with Jim being brought in as the new office manager. I'm sure it's fairly tempting for the writers of the show to see what happens with Pam working for Jim as his assistant. Oh, and in "Take your daughter to work day" the look that Edward R. Meow gives young Michael after he drops his "Married with 100 kids" line is one of the most laugh-out-loud moments of the entire series.

Good. More BSS-Haines and less Metric-Haines. Infinitely better then Amy Milans solo effort but Emily is still no Feist.

It doesn't matter. When/if he croaks they'll promptly burn the body and destroy the dental records.

WWE to counter in head-to-head with Ortiz vs. Shamrock III...
Lord of The Curry replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Airing anything CM Punk-related up against a UFC show would be hilarious. -
I'd blame his mother and say I didn't want to see him get punished.

Any replacement announced yet for Riggs?

"Oh, there's Oscars roomate. I wonder if he knows?"

Cheers to star for taking the iniviative and starting up the thread. Pretty damn good card for free TV. Tito/Ken is going to draw a bannanas amount of ratings but like most UFN's the best fights of the night will probably be the ones we don't see.
