Biggest Money Fights for the UFC???
Lord of The Curry replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Pwned? No......just......no. Wrong on all accounts. Beaten, yes. Pwned? Christ no. -
Ouch. I want to look at the breakdowns just to see how many people gradually tuned out of Bonnar/Evans once they realized it was destination Lay and Prayville.
-
benoitrulz- Rudo quit the board. He's DVDVR exclusive now. Blame the WWE Folder MOD's.

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...
Lord of The Curry replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
His first day with his pupils will be uncovering the secrets of the riddum. -
starvenger- Yes, Pulver still technically has the belt but I'm pretty sure he was stripped of it. All reports have been pointing towards Sherk getting a shot at the vacant title at his new weight class and the winner of Stout/Florian was supposedly the one who'd challenge him.
-
It is not a good week to be in the Pac NW. Thank god McDonald and Hominick evened out the Stout tooling and Goulet helped top us off. Hominick should get the first shot at the newly crowned LW champ if the Sherk/Florian fight is going ahead.
-
Honestly, Rashad should be relegated to undercards until he can learn to finish. No way that guy gets anywhere near a PPV card until then.
-
Rogan saying the judge who scored Bonnar/Evans a draw should be shot was great, followed by "No, I'm not drunk or high".
-
Holy Fun. WHAT WORKED - Hominick's combos looked absolutely beautiful and the leg sweeps were fucking swank. Jorge hung in there but it's difficult to maneuver a takedown when Mark was doing such a good job avoiding the fence and cutting off his angles. Hominick vs Pulver. BOOK THAT SHIT. - McDonald had some good takedowns and nice armbar. In one fight he did more then anything I've ever seen him in. - AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Holy fuck, I'll be first to admit I thought that Leben would hump his way to a decison on this one. Silva lets everybody in that division know that if they want to take him down they'll pay dearly for it. That division just got dumped on its head. - Cummo/Goulet was SWEET. Crazy groundwork, more active then Grove/Herman and people were touting that was a FOTYC. Lukes (force) choke at the end had us all freaking out, partly because it would've been a crazy comeback and partly because we didn't want to see Goulet lose so late. Goulet will move on from this, only to get popped in his cotton-candy chin and die another horrible death. - Canada goes 3-0. Nice. WHAT DIDNT - Rashad Evans. If it weren't for his takedowns I'd have 100% hatred towards the man instead of 90%. I'm hoping the UFC crowd learns the "Stand them up" chant that other crowds have used. Evans is the only fighter who will move AWAY from a dominant position. The dude went from side mount to taking Bonnars back and then proceeded to go BACK to full guard. Jesus Fuck, either put him up against Chuck or give him a wrestler that will be able to test him on the ground. Bonnar did more in defense then Rashad did on offence.

*Sigh* Go sit in the corner for a bit and think about what you've typed.
-
Somebody needs to tell him the truth: People dislike him because he's black AND a boring fighter. It's not fair to let skin colour take the full blame on this one.
-
Cummo/Goulet is making live air, starvenger.
-
EHME, what would it take for you to stop attempting insults? To quote Mr. Rogan, they are not your world.
-
I think I might change my Bonnar prediction to Bonnar by high kick KO. Rashad looked tiny compared to him.

I hope not. A Cummo upkick KO would be awesome.
-
This one can't possibly be as bad as the last one (4/4 in the decison dept.) But I can see 3/4 fights (Bonnar/Evans, Goulet/Cummo and Silva/Leben) all going the distance. I don't see that in the cards with Hominick/Gurgel.
-
Tong, all I ask is that EHME gets something uber-gay for his sig or avatar. Make him rock an ATT avatar or somethin'. Actually, that's what EHME's punishment for you should be.
-
Is a 2.0 all that good in the grand scheme of things? I'm not hugely familiar with how ratings work but you'd think with how this season went that UFC would be expecting bigger then a 2.0. Then again it was Saturday night so for that many people to stay in on TV's worst night probably says something.
-
Sometimes it seems that EHME's sole purpose on this board is to goad people into avatar/sig bets. Leben doing the bare minimum to win against Luigi Fiorvanti puts your "Leben isn't going to lay and pray" in repute, I'd say.

Welcome............back? -
More people find 9/11 funny then you'd think. *Deep exhalation* Finally.

Funny, I just watched the fight again and thought Ed took the last round. Outside of the flying knee and the RNC at the end Kendall was dominated that round. Ed got the takedowns, some good ground and pound and was looking for submissions. 3:45 of that round belong to him. The rest was scrambling and the RNC that (obviously) left a more indellible impression in the judges mind.
