I'm trying not to get my hopes up for that. I don't look forward to possibly quitting a job or missing out on school time so I can go to Montreal that weekend but having said that there's no way I'd miss this show for anything.

Let it be known that if Brock Lesnar had continued with pro wrestling he'd be light-years beyond Angle at this point.

Agreed on Heat, Funk. It's not really a crying ending so much as a "Sit back, take a deep breath and say 'Goddamn'" kinda ending.

I think we all can agree on one thing about Matt Hamill: Him jumping into Tito's arms after he found out he won was far and away the feel-good MMA moment of 2006 so far, soon to be replaced by St. Pierre drubbing Hughes en route to being the new champ.

When Pete Postlethwaite (sp?) kicks it in In The Name of The Father and all of the prisoners starting throwing the burning paper out their cells was pretty serious for me. The ending? Fughedaboudit. "I'm a free man and I'm going out the front door."

Tank isn't a legend but he pretty much defined the concept of "Punchers Chance" so I guess you can credit him for that much. An important early figure, definetly. Like it or not a lot of people got into the UFC because of Tank even if they aren't the type of fans that Dana would want watching his version today.

Either you read my comment and ignored it or you want to see Matt die in the octagon (I'm picking A). That is NOT how you hold your hands if you're hoping to not get a broken nose or concussion. Note: I'm not sure if Hawk52 was the one who made the original comment about Matt so it's not a knock on him or anything. But seriously, he has a long ways to go before he's title material. Or not. It all depends on how much he commits to improving his standup game. The one thing I can say he has going for him is that punches (or at least the ones Nickels and Forbes threw at him) don't really faze him that much.

That tap is going to be debated for a long time because of a two things.... 1) How many times Kendall "tapped". 3 times is the rule and that only looks like 2 but some are taking it as 3. 2) Ed changed positions and so did the hold right after the alleged "tap" so it would be difficult to judge whether or not Kendall would've continued tapping if they'd have stayed in the same position.

I loved seeing Matt take it as much as everybody but LHW champ in two years? Gimme a fucking break. Anybody in that division with an ounce of standup would kill him. Dude's got a terrible stance.

Bonnar's got somewhat of a lanky frame and has a good 4 inches on Rashad, height-wise so I think Rashad might have a more difficult time holding him down then people think. Bonnar, triangle choke R2.

Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold, Entourage (HBO) I could probably pick other actors who have put on technically better performances or even had bigger roles but fuck it, I don't think I've had more fun watching somebody on a TV show since I don't know when. Some people say that the show is about Vince and while I won't argue against it I think that it's just as much about Ari too. The combination of sarcasm, swearing and swagger that Piven brings to this role is unfuckwithable. For those who've seen Entourage it's already a known thing. Ari runs that show, hands down. When he shows up at Josh Weinsteins house in season one and proceeds to own him in front of his entire party, that's good. When he's done and takes a sip of Josh's momosa followed by "That's awful"........that's brilliant. Piven himself knows exactly how to tweak this role as he's been the bit-player in Hollywood for twenty-something years now and here he is finally playing the hot shot. I dig how he portrays Ari as barely human but when his humanity is exposed it's humbling and well done ala the scenes late in season two with Vince and Eric. In short, Piven rules it all. Whatcha got?

I too was expecting a "Vic is dying for sure" type of spoiler. If they don't bring Tavon back for this season then they won't have realized their full potential. It'd work well, given how close Lem and Tavon were.

Drama's hatred of the Valley was awesome, as was the scenes with Ari and Mrs. Ari in couples therapy. I'm hoping to God we get Vince and Drama visiting Michael Madsen next week to buy back Dramas bike.

Lei, now that Rudo isn't around you're going to have to cut down on the obscure references, at least until we get a translator for you.
