Depends on who you talk to about Bonnar. I'd say he's solid all-around in terms of standup, ground and conditioning. Rashad is a very good wrestler but I don't see him hurting Bonnar with GNP or threatening with a submission. Rashad's boxing wasn't terrible against Sam but Bonnar's hands and feet are light-years beyond anything Rashad posseses. In short this is Bonnars fight to lose.

UFC is testing Rashad hardcore and it's even to the point where I think they want to see him get his ass stomped in. Leben's getting a test too but this isn't an unwinnable fight for him either.

Wow, Edge is really hurting that Awesome and Tanaka put on a better hardcore match with no prep time on a low-budget show then anything he's ever done. When Edge almost gets impled by a table leg on a top-rope powerbomb then he can talk.

MMA is going to make the process more difficult for pro wrestling in the future as it has all but completely cornered what was once the WWE's most coveted demographic, males 18-34. A lot of old-school fans are smack dab in the middle of this and people are beggining to realize that there are other options.

It'd be weird talking to young fans and hearing them talk about who their favourite sports entertainer is. Thank God I avoid young people and definetly young wrestling fans at all costs. The only person I actively talk about wrestling with besides Rudo is the mentally challenged 30 year old that hangs around my plaza at work. That dude loves him some JBL.

After those friendly text-messaging riot incidents earlier this year I don't think we'll be following the Aussies advice on this one.

I'm 22 now and I've been watching since I was about 6 or 7 years old and I'd probably say that I've gotten the best out of pro wrestling because I lived through a lot of eras. Started up as a Hulkamanic, progressed into the Bret Hart fandom and worked up into the Attitude era. It was during the Attitude era that I began branching out into other aspects of pro wrestling, mainly AJPW, NJPW and ECW. I can't say I was a fan of any of those promotions during their peak but I began to love it right after a lot of the big moments had went down so I wasn't too late to the party. The current generation of wrestling fans (6-16) are going to have by far the shittiest time growing up with the sport due to the stagnent situation american pro wrestling has found itself in.

People enjoy hanging on to their whole "I was there from the beggining" beliefs and somehow a side-effect of that belief lies in Ken Shamrock being a talented fighter. I completely expect Ken to get booed out of the building at the PPV, however.

It just keeps getting more fucked up around here. Meadowvale is makin' the international headlines. Talking to people who knew one of the youths that was arrested it seems that after Grade 11 he started to get heavily into religion, grew out the hair/beard combo and never spoke to any of his former white friends again. Apparently one of the guys in custody personally wanted to behead Stephen Harper.

Today's stories on the news were "Suspect X's Wife says 'My husband is innocent'" pieces as opposed to the "TERRORISTS IN CUSTODY" headlines they were running over the weekend. I'll be interested to see what happens if it turns out these guys ended up getting caught in a police sting, as it was originally reported. Good luck finding any excuse as to why you'd need that much fertilizer in fucking Mississauga.
