For a guy they built up as somewhat of a killing machine I've gotta say I was underwhelmed seeing Ed in the octagon for the first time. The Gi can be used for leverage when it comes to applying things like chokes and armbars. I'm sure it goes a bit deeper then that but that's one reason why UFC doesn't allow Gi's.

If we're talking relative to a generation, then yeah, he was. What are you talking about? He's had a good 7 years or so as the dominant figure in popular music (that's more than the Beatles' original run or MJ's hot period). He has had 3 pantheon-level albums, critical recognition and mainstream success and notoriety. That's far more than a flash in the pan. The argument for Eminemn is as good as any. The Beatles at their peak in relation to popular music absolutely buttfuck Em in every single way possible. Having said that, Em was also one of the first artists that came to mind when I saw this topic.

I agree with you on Estrada, the dude is average at best. Not sure about the whole "Umaga = Abyss" comparison because it wouldn't be long before WWE fans are thinking about Umaga what TNA fans think about Abyss: Why don't they ever step it up? (Although I suppose that question about Abyss was just answered).

Chuck's never faced somebody with Sakara's level of standup, I think is what the article was trying to get across. Babalu and Tito are obviously more well rounded then Sakara but there's no question that the guy has some of the best hands in that company right now. Chuck vs Sakara would be interesting only because it might be the only fight where you see Chuck go for a takedown.

There's an article on UFC.com about Allesio Sakara and how he's one of the only guys who could stand with Chuck and possibly beat him. Jump on the bandwagon now, folks.
