Haven't seen much talk of this one so far which is a shame, because it's one of the best to come along since.......well........Lost, I guess. Which isn't long but doesn't at all change the fact that this is a first-rate piece of television. A Sleeper Cell, for the uninformed is a terrorist cell that remains largely inactive, aside from one specific task which they carry out on orders. This show follows the lives of 5 Islamic Soldiers involved in their own version of a Holy War. The fact that only one of the them is from the Middle East is one of the more captivating points of the show, the leader of the cell Farik, played by Oded Fehrer of The Mummy fame. The rest are made up of a blonde-haired American guy born in California named Tommy, a former French White Supremacist who found Islam and a Serbian Muslim who saw his family murdered by Catholics. The final member is an Undercover FBI Agent named Darwyn Al-Syeed, a black American who was born and raised Muslim. The performances here are incredible. I wouldn't be hasty and say the best on TV right now but Oded Fehrer and Michael Ealy, who plays Darwyn are both excellent. The stories and point of views are always compelling and fresh because of the backgrounds of all the different members. They all have a core purpose and following but very different opinions and ways. I'm hopefully not the only one watching this. For Canadians who have The Movie Network the first 5 episodes are currently available through the On Demand Free Channel. Yanks can catch it on Showtime. Check it.

HTQ is a more intelligent wrestling fan and can conduct better discussion then 90% of the current WWE folder. So yeah, I'll defend him. Oh, wait, he tells people that are morons with uninformed opinions the truth about their posts. Oh, yeah, boo.

I don't think Diaz disrespected Diego as a fighter at all. I think Diaz took a look at where he was within the company and realized that the only reason he was facing Diego is because the UFC wanted Diego to go over. The fight wasn't set up because there was a previously-standing beef between the two. It wasn't set up because there was debate over who's better and they wanted to see for themselves. It was made to give Diego the chance to beat Nick Diaz. Diaz saw through this and called it.

Leelee is acting like the WWE Folder could be a haven of intelligent wrestling discussion if HTQ wasn't around.

Having pictures of an almost-nude Orton in your sig probably did it. You complain that HTQ invites trolling but it seems that your sig w/ Joe in it now is there to provoke TNA fans into an argument, which I'd consider a form of trolling. I could be wrong. You could just be trying to make a really unfunny joke.

New episode premieres on the 4th, right?

Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels

Joe but if Brock hadn't left WWE he would've surpassed him by now easily. -
I was trying to annoy that Leelee broad but now I want a grilled cheese.

I'm doing a 2005 Year in Review

Bonnar/Griffin in itself should be up there as it did more for MMA in terms of gaining fans in one fight then half the topics listed up there have. -
Picked up UFC's Ultimate Fighter Season One and PRIDE's Critical Countdown 2004 DVD's the other day. Watching Ultimate Fighter made me kinda depressed about this seasons's show for two reasons: 1) Much better fights 2) Much better characters You had Nate "Moral Rock" Quarry, The Frat Boyz team of Southworth and Koscheck, Observational Humour Forrest, Evil Sam and Chris "Fatherless Bastard" Leben all stepping up and giving us some great moments. Watching it all again also made me realize what a complete douchebag Leben was and how much I laughed when Southworth dropped the FB line on him. Some pretty damn good fights along with it. Diego/Koscheck, Bonnar/Southworth, Forrest/Alex, Forrest/Sam and Bonnar/Swick were all solid stuff. DVD extra's aren't the greatest but they make up for it by including all of the prelim fights from the TUF Finale card. Oh, and you get Franklin vs Shamrock too which is decent enough. PRIDE's show was a sketchy buy but I'm overall fairly happy with the purchase. Nog vs Khanitorov was fucking awesome and Silva/Kondo was an absolutely brutal finish to an entertaining fight. Seeing Fedor destroy Ogawa and watching Cro-Cop reposition Aleksander's neck was fun too. Then there's the main event which I'd totally forgotten up until this point which really almost kills the entire thing. The worst part is that even after the fight is stopped Rutten and Mauro are still yapping on and on about how terrible this is, basically rubbing it in. Don't know why they didn't stop the DVD at that point. So, whatcha bought lately?

Sylvia/Telligmen makes sense because of Tim's upcoming fight. Putting Arlovski/Sylvia is kind of a step back.

Didn't purchase anything but got UFC 49 and 52 for X-Mas. Score.

Flair vs Booker? GAH~!

If anybody else can think of a worker whom has suffered the "Dropped the ball/buried to shit" combo worse then Shelton, have at it. And this is coming from the same poster who bitched about the misuse of Benoit during his title reign in 2004.

Agreed, but when you look at the way GSP dominated Trigg and Sherk I think that puts the Mayhem victory in a different perspective. -
I laughed at your hot sister becaue I like eggs.

I'm still not convinced. The dude fucked up in a huge, huge way. The first ever live televised MMA event on cable TV. The main event. And he blows it. Jason Miller did more in defeat this year then Marquadt and Salaverry combined and he hasn't been brought back which is fucked. Of course, the whole robbery charge thing won't help his causes but once he's done with ROTR they should give him another chance. -

Ya know, people would be quick to point out that Jordan/Gonzaga from UFC 56 was the worst fight of the year but at least that fight had a finish. Marquadt/Salaverry was a shitty stall-fest of a fight. What has he done since then to warrant a return? -

Why in Gods name is the UFC bringing Nathan Marquadt back? -
When a band gets by on doing the exact same shit they did 10 years ago but recieve 3 times the amount or praise I'd call that overrating them.

I loves me some Pitbull but I'll be first in line to challenge whether or not he's done anything worthy of being considered for FOTY.
