Their mediocrity-fest at Royal Rumble says no to that one. Ditto for the match a few weeks before that one on RAW. I'd say his match with Taker at Mania was better then both of those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, Orton's WM match this year was better than any of his Intercontinental Title defenses, save the Foley match. I can understand why Rey is where he is right now in terms of position with the company. He's the type of guy where if you sat somebody down who didn't really watch wrestling and showed them a solid Rey match they'd become a fan. The tats, mask, flashy colours, entrance etc. are all for the most part done for the kids. It dates back to what the old Japan promotions would do with characters like Tiger Mask. Doesn't hurt that both guys are great wrestlers but I doubt that this Eddy feud did Rey any favours with his fans.
