UFC Middleweight Championship- Anderson Silva vs Patrick Cote Diego Sanchez vs Thiago Alves Thales Leities vs TBA Fabricio Werdum vs Junior Dos Santos Sean Sherk vs Tyson Grffin Shannon Gurgerty vs Spencer Fisher Hermes Franca vs Marcus Aurelio Pete Sell vs Josh Burkman Rich Clementi vs Gray Maynard Matt Horwich vs Dan Miller Sherdog is saying that Goran Reljic is out of the Leities bout which sucks because I was looking forward to seeing how he'd fare at 185. Anyways this looks to be a very solid card, at least on par with 88. Griffin/Sherk is one of the more guaranteed-decision fights in a while. I'm puzzled as to how Werdum goes from beating Gonzaga and Vera to facing a newcomer. Alves/Sanchez, from the minute it was announced has FOTY written all over it. I really like Clementi/Maynard on the undercard too. If Rich can somehow pull it out they'll actually need to bump him up in the division. And hey, I still (heart) The King. But I swear to God if Cote pulls a Serra I'll lose all faith in the world.

Since when did that become something to laud?

Makes sense that he'd play Spock.

It's pitiful on so many levels that because a finish or lack thereof is a foregone conclusion in your mind you can't enjoy the rest of a fight. Which actually explains a lot.

She wasn't worried because unless Parkman is (as we've seen before) intently focused on the person who's mind he's reading he doesn't pick anything up. It's not like Sookie in True Blood.

To you. The result was predictable to you. Gotta work better on finishing those sentances.

Tortonto, Ontario? [Elitist City]Yeah, like we'd allow another city in this country to be named Toronto [/Elitist City]

You thinking Sherk was going to win somehow = everybody else thinking the same? Que?

Okay, it's next week and the show still kicks ass despite the momentum being severely derailed. Main card was announced today... Faber vs Brown Pulver vs Garcia Sonnen vs Filho Osterneck vs Rosholt Cerrone vs McCullough

So is this show doing poorly in ratings or something? I was grabbing a drink at a store near my work and the Entertainment Weekly had Heroes cast members on it's cover with "A Show in Crisis" as the headline.

UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar
Lord of The Curry replied to BruteSquad_BRODY's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
So looks like Brock wants free reign to hit Randy in the back of the head. From Sherdog... Citing Mazzagatti’s officiating in Lesnar’s UFC debut against Frank Mir in February, attorneys David Olsen and Brian Stegeman made their aversion to the referee’s presence known at a regularly scheduled NSAC meeting. The attorneys claimed Mazzagatti was “involved in what we believe was a controversial ruling in connection with the Mir-Lesnar fight.” They asked that Mazzagatti be removed from consideration for the UFC 91 main event to avoid “distraction” and “any further controversy.” -
The strike not happening wouldn't have changed the fact that the girl couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

Clearly in AmericanDragon's fantasy land a fight isn't a good fight unless somebody is beaten half to death while losing tons of blood. Activity and skill be damned, it's all about damage. Christ, you know when me and Carlito are 100% on the same page about something that you're veering off the road

I hear that, I don't mind the powers but the characters themselves aren't too interesting. I can only hear Knox talk about how afraid people are for so long, fire dude is being underutilized and Daphne is boring because she really isn't a villain. Adam, in terms of powers was relatively boring but his character was fantastic and knowing this show I don't think it's set in stone that he's dead and gone for good. All it takes is Peter or Hiro going back in time to warn him that Arthur wants his powers.

I'm curious to see what everybody's local scene, culturally, is planning for the day after the election. Case in point: most pubs/bars here in Toronto have "Obama Victory" parties scheduled for Wednesday if he wins but I have yet to see any for McCain. I guess voting demographic locally plays a big part but I just don't see huge celebrations anywhere in our country if McCain pulls it off.

It was a good ending because I almost bought that Jamie-Lynn was going to cave and continue seeing Turtle but the payoff of "I jerked him and would've fucked him" was even better.

Not sure what to think of this week. It had some pretty decent moments like Sylar coming into Pinehurst and Knox punching a hole through pseudo-Matt but overall it felt kinda fillerish. Not enough Hiro or HRG and too much of Papa Petrelli's righteous cause.

I believe I read an interview with Cuse/Lindelof a while back and they mentioned that the possibility of Eko showing up either in flashback form or otherwise hasn't been ruled out.
