ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Tommy Lasorda is making me HATE the playoffs right now.

Wow, the Tigers have shown some cojones today.

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Inge is horrible. He's battling that Bartlett dude for worst player of the postseason thus far.

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Verlander's not going more than 5 innings today just like I figured.

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Bases loaded for A-Rod. Will he finally "earn his pinstripes", or strike out again? EDIT: New season, same result.

NLDS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Valentin just screwed the pooch. Instead of one out and Reyes healthy, we've got the tying run at the plate for LA and Reyes got spiked.

NLDS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Why is Grady Little using/planning to use Brad Penny in relief?

NLDS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

AWESOME!! 2 Dodgers tagged out at the plate on one play.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Looks like you were right about the first half of that prediction.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Torii Hunter just fucked the Twins there. A needless dive leads to a 2 run inside the park HR by Kotsay. At worst, that should have been 2nd and 3rd.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Back to back homers by Cuddyer & Morneau ties it at 2!

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Boof is in trouble, A's lead 2-0, man on 1st, 1 out.

Apparently, when ARod hits a home run to extend out a lead, he's simply "tacking on" or "padding his stats." When Jeter hits a home run to extend out a lead, it's "insurance." How DARE you compare the Messiah to that lowly peon A-Rod. Don't you know that even when Jeter makes errors it's only because he's so athletic that he got to a ball no one else could have? Nevermind the fact that Derek has 0 range at short and that little ballet move he does is completely unnecessary if he could just move to his left or right a step faster.

NLDS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Yeah, knowing that LA lost a middle reliever lessens the pain of having our # 1 and # 3 go out in the last week or so without throwing a pitch in the playoffs. The Mets won't win this series, but at least they'll go out and spend money on starting pitching next year as a result of these untimely injuries.

    NFL Week 5

The Giants will win since I won't be able to watch the game. They've lost the two games I watched and won the Eagles game that I missed. If this theory holds I may have to miss the remainder of the season for the good of the team.

    How I Met Your Mother

Are they dumping The Class or is it just a flip flop of the schedule?

Best Division Series of All Time

I just double checked and Game 5 of the 1995 ALDS wasn't 2-1 Al, the Yankees scored in the 11th to break a 4-4 tie, and the M's came back with 2 in the bottom of the inning to win it 6-5 on the Martinez double. They should show that game on Yankees Classics some time.

'95 ALDS easily. The Griffey slide is one of my favorite moments as a baseball fan.

NLDS: St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres

Pujols just destroyed one to deep left center. 2-0 Cards.

    Nice hustle from Giles there.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

True, but you don't have to swing at the first pitch every time. Zito was not pitching well and yet the Twins would not make him work. He threw 52 strikes and 40 balls, but most of the strikes were by the Twins being overly aggressive and popping out on the 1st or 2nd pitch of the at bat. Don't get me wrong, Minnesota didn't deserve to win this game, but some patience and a timely bunt would have given them the chance.

    Morneau is also not clutch.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Johan had thrown 107 pitches in this game. Zito was the one with 92.
