Wade might just pass Kobe as the best guard in the league by the end of this series.
-
I think with his postseason performance Wade has become the most clutch player in the game.
-
JBL warranted his push AFTER he got the title. He hadn't done much of anything when he got the title. Orton got his run about a week or two after dropping the IC Title and didn't even have a chase. The fact that both reigns bombed miserably in terms of buyrates and attendance isn't surprising.
-
Not so bold prediction: Miami gets EVERY call down the stretch and win by 6 to 8.
-
I think this discussion almost begins and ends with Randy Orton and JBL in terms of undeserving champions.
-
Some dude on the O's just had a ball stuck in the back of his jersey as it rolled up his sleeve. That was awesome. And we just got a run on an obstruction call. That was even more awesome.

So I get home just in time to see Marrero and Beltran get drilled and then a GRAND SLAM by Wright. Good timing.

But it was OK to trade it for a 12 & 6 guy with a bad heart? His heart isn't an issue. And at the time, before it turned out to be a top 3 pick (which no one would have guessed when the deal occured), it was an okay trade. But what does that have to do with trading a top 4 pick for Jermaine O'Neal? Who didn't see it coming? Everyone knew New York would be one of the worst teams in the league. CW is a relative of Isiah's. It's the only way that him agreeing with every move Isiah makes makes any sense. Trade for Steve Francis when you already have him on the team? Sure, why not? Get a guy with no balls who also has a bad heart? Sure, why not? Trade an expiring contract for Jalen Rose and thus stunt the growth of David Lee and Lil Nate when he takes all of their minutes? Sure, why not? And that's just last season's moves that everyone knew would backfire that CW thought were AWESOME!~

The Sandman is getting rocked to sleep. Daryle (sp?) Ward has got to be one of the slowest men in baseball. He looked like he was having a heart attack rounding 3rd.
-
Soriano with the Little League run, 2 steals and the last base on a bad throw. I think he'll get 40/40 this year. The Nats have nothing else to play for.

That performane was AWESOME!~ The way that ref was flashing the yellow and red left and right for bullshit and then allowed guys to tackle players after he ruined the game by tossing 3 guys is something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. Never will someone duplicate that man's effort tonight. Never. That should be the match all hopeful referees watch so they can learn how it's done from a pro.

This game is why I can't watch "world class" soccer. You can't screen a goalie or that's offsides? Guys who dive get players tossed. Get the fuck outta here. It's time to get back to watching real sports like baseball and poker.

After we lose today and get ripped in the papers for about a day and a half, does anyone else think we'll hear a word about US Men's Soccer until 2010 when Freddy Adu and all of the people he has inspired to play will lead us to victory?
-
Ghana does the US a huge favor, but watch us still get whooped by the Italians.
-
What the hell is going on here? The crying Czech kid was awesome though.
-
Good Lord, even Ghana is doing better than the US at the World Cup with a goal against the Czechs inside of 75 seconds I think.

Isn't Stack the guy who broke Joe Johnson's face last year? If he'd hit someone like Wade, J-Will, Payton or Posey in the same manner they would have gone down harder than when Kobe took a lariat from Bell. Is it a tough suspension? Yes. Is it ridiculous based on precedent this postseason? Not at all. If you disagree with that, imagine if the roles were reversed and Shaq had let loose on Stack, Jerry's face would have been Roethlisbergered and Shaq would have sat out the game too, but Jerry would be in the hospital.

What's up with these lackluster performances by the North Americans?
-
Durham, NC used to be home of the Dukies, now it's the sports related crime capital of the US.

But it was OK to trade it for a 12 & 6 guy with a bad heart?

No I wouldn't, because JO would get 20-25 & 10 while he's healthy and he plays defense something the Knicks haven't had from a big man since the days of Ewing. Getting undersized combo guards for the same price when you already have four is worthy of being blasted over. The Knicks still don't have a legitimate center, point guard or power forward. We do however have the market cornered on no defense playing, no rebounding, shoot first combo guards and guard/forwards.
-
50% of JO is better than 100% of Eddy Curry. A legit franchise player is better than the collection of spare parts the Knicks have. Isiah doesn't think big picture and the Knicks continue to suffer for it.
-
Nasty goal by the Ivory Coast there.
-
Something makes me think AI would not report to Atlanta. JO not getting any interest is precisely why Isiah should be fired since the Knicks would have had the # 2 AND the guys to make a trade work, but no, we needed Eddy Fucking Curry instead.
