    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Bowen was so concerned with not fouling out that he cost them any chance at coming back. So not only is he selfish, but Pops proves why he's an overrated coach who only gets anywhere because he's had Robinson and/or Duncan on his teams. A strictly bush league finish by the Spurs who are lucky they weren't swept in this series. Hopefully the Mavs don't channel the Lakers and eventually close this shit out in Game 6.

It sucks to be Mr. Eva Longoria right now, and I'm glad because I can't stand that cocky motherfucker.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

How was that not a foul on Duncan? More importantly why would Diop foul there? The Mavs are almost trying to keep the Spurs in this game. If they don't close it out in OT this one is a wrap since no one can guard Tim.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

How amazing would it be if San Antonio and Detroit both lost in the second round? I still think both will win, though I'm hoping Dallas knocks the Spurs out, but I'd like to be able to watch the NBA Finals this year and that won't happen if it's a repeat of last year.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I love when a commentator praises a guy for good defense only to see him flop like a fish with no contact on the reply. Can the Commish possibly allow some man to man contact in his league someday? I'm tired of watching the NBA degenerate into a softer game than the WNBA.

    How I Met Your Mother

Wow, that was lame. I liked this whole storyline better when I saw Ross & Rachel do it. From the boring chase to the lameass first kiss in the rain this was like out of some 8th grader's diary. Why was this such a big deal when we know that they don't stay together anyway? A definite thumbs down for me. Marshall and Lily breaking up was the one bright side simply because it was completely unexpected.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

So Aras won 5-2. I didn't think he deserved it, but Danielle would have lost 5-2 or 6-1 to Terry too so she had no chance either way.

Only the Twinkies can turn a sac bunt attempt into a triple play. 'Tards.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

This final IC is corny as fuck. I hate ones where the person with the least weight and/or smallest feet has such a huge advantage. This was basically made for Danielle to win.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

Have you seen something we're not privy to? Because I'd think he'd kill Aras and Cirie/Danielle in the final challenge. Maybe. Too many Alpha Males on one tribe. I just think they will gear the final challenge to something that requires more luck than skill or stamina to give the other 2 (Aras and the remaining female) a chance to win. If Terry doesn't win the last IC he's not going to the F2. I just think that Mark Burnett and Co. have multiple options for all of the IC events and mix and match depending on what kind of result they're hoping for. For instance, the puzzles seem to come up more often than not when a weak tribe is getting their ass kicked physically, or something requiring brute strength when a smarter/more cohesive tribe is dominating the action. There are always exceptions to the rule, and a guy like Tom essentially ran the table, but I think at this point Aras KNOWS he can't give in because Terry won't pick him for the F2 either. With a 2 in 3 shot that Terry gets screwed I'm sticking with the odds. I still think Danielle will win the money and she was my pick from the beginning because A) she's female, B) she's got huge boobs C) she had just enough athleticism to contribute without being a threat. Considering the "right" person often doesn't win Survivor, I expect her to pull off a 5-2 decision over Aras.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

That's exactly why the NBA ratings continue to tank year after year. When winning is irrelevant because marketability is more important, you've lost the point of having a game where results matter.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

If the playoffs meant something there'd be Tim Duncan commercials during every break considering he has 3 rings, 3 Finals MVP's and isn't a supersized Big Mac meal away from being useless. Meanwhile, we get non stop Bron Bron and he's won a whopping 5 postseason games in his life. The NBA is a superstar/numbers driven league. Championships are entirely optional.

Top Five Worst Managers in Baseball

I choose Willie Randolph. Why you ask? "The left-handed Billy Wagner was not even warming up in the ninth Tuesday, leaving lefties to hit against the right-handed Aaron Heilman with the game on the line. Mets manager Willie Randolph said he didn't want to use his closer in a tie game on the road." So we lose that game. Surely Willie will learn right? Today, the Mets come back to tie it in the 9th. A loss trims our lead to 1 in the NL East with a road trip to St. Louis followed by 6 with the Yankees and the streaking, soon to be NL East leading Phillies. We NEED this game. So he goes to the lefty for the 9th, but it's . . . Pedro Feliciano. We survive the 9th. Surely Wagner will pitch the 10th right? Wrong. Bradford gives up the gopher ball and we've now lost two straight games Pedro started. Why? Because Randolph won't use his closer in a tie game on the road. Fuck the losses and our dwindling lead, we can't waste Wagner with an off day tomorrow after he didn't pitch for an entire week not too long ago. I mean, God forbid you use your best reliever when he can't get a save! Can you imagine Mets/Cards in the playoffs, it's game 7, the score is tied at 3 heading into the bottom of the 9th and Pujols is up to start off the inning. I'm guessing he goes to Duaner Sanchez (whose arm will be falling off by then) or Aaron Heilman (whose arm will also be falling off by then). And where's Wagner? Sitting down on the bench. Because Willie Randolph won't use his closer in a tie game on the road.

Yeah but he'd hit 5 HR's in his last 33 AB's (9 games) before crushing two in two chances today. It's not like he doesn't have that fat boy strength to take anyone deep. Rickie Weeks is an idiot, he just got gunned down trying to take 2nd when he was representing the winning run standing on first wth only 1 out. Of course, that noted slugger Bill Hall just took Chad Bradford deep, so the point is moot. Why use Wagner in a non save situation when we can have our lead cut to 1 game in the East instead? I'd like to nominate Willie for Top 5 worst managers in the game.

Yeah. On the road Vs. St. Louis. That's better. You're right, but I predicted Saturday a few days ago and was told I was being hasty. A loss here, and we'll probably be 2 GB by the time we play you guys again.

Of course Wright decides to make an error on a routine grounder in the 9th just because it's been a while since one of his errors cost us a run/win.

Turn-BLOWN! What's with all the unnecessary diving catches by Brewers outfielders? There were 2 the other night by Jenkins, and that one there by Clark. I missed last night's game entirely, but if you guys do that regularly someone's going to get hurt.

.222-5-12 .302-12-27 .336-19-48 I'm just saying, Bonds isn't Bonds anymore, but why get beat twice by Howard in the same game or by Pujols period? The Mets likely won't even last until next Saturday with the NL East at this rate. Woo.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

Maybe not to us, but there's obviously other factors that weigh into the voters' minds. Keep in mind, Dominique Wilkins wasn't voted in on the first ballot, and Adrian Dantley and Bernard King still have yet to get in. All 3 guys you mentioned only had points. Garnett would likely hit the "magic number" for both points and rebounds and probably end up top 50 all time in assists as well. That combination basically guarantees him the spot unless he kills someone or gambles on the game.

Why is it when it comes to the NL no one pitches to Bonds with the game on the line, but you know it's totally cool to get beat by Howard, Pujols etc?

Rickie Weeks makes error # 12 in game 32. Damn he sucks, but at least the Mets finally have a chance to scratch out some runs here.

    Tomorrow will be MY DAY....FROM...HELL!

My worst work day ever was 22 straight hours without so much as a break after the second hour because my work partner got sick and went home. It took about 16 hours to sleep that one off, and I was pretty much useless for the 3 days after that one night. I routinely worked 12-16 hour days/5 or 6 days a week that entire summer depending on how many parties were booked. Never again will I work slave hours.
