    TSM 2006 NBA Playoffs thread

I've said it before, but he's the WORST official in all four of the major US sports. A total cocksucker. Nowitzki just guaranteed that Memphis ends this year with 12 consecutive playoff losses. That was a dagger they won't recover from until next year.

Nowitzki just showed why he should have been league MVP this year by hitting a game tying 3 with less than 15 on the clock. The man is a genetic anomaly. Dampier also showed why he's an overpaid piece of shit on the same play by missing a tip in from point blank range

I was PISSED when the Giants picked DE at # 32, but ironically they got Moss at # 44 which basically means they got two value picks but they just picked them backwards. I still would have preferred Justice and Moss, but I've got no complaints at the end result. The process was a bit shoddy though. The Eagles and Jets have done REALLY well so far though which displeases me.

I think the Bills have the two worst selections of the first round, that's impressive no matter how you slice it.

So the Giants get whichever receiver they had below Holmes, or they can still likely pick Justice. We didn't lose out on anything by dropping down.

Who cares why the Lakers are sonning the Suns, let's just revel in the fact that the MVP and his squad have looked helpless throughout much of the first 3 games and Tim Thomas had to shoot his wad just to get them that one victory. If LA wins tomorrow, this series is over in 5.

If all of the WRs are about equal as many seem to believe, why not trade down 7 spots and get 2 extra picks? I'd be more upset that they passed up Justice given our offensive line woes in past seasons. There's not much difference between Jackson, Moss and Stovall. At least one will still be there at 32, and they might still end up with Justice.

http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9403323 Someone wipe the Leinart man juice from Pete Prisco's chin. That makes ESPN fellating Bush look minor in comparison.

The Jets fans are such hypocrites chanting "overrated" at Leinart who went # 10, when they desperately wanted him at 4. Douchebags.

If the Bills take Cutler they're fucking retards. Wasn't Losman basically Jay Cutler, a strong armed (cocky) guy who can make all of the throws? WTF?

If Matt wasn't a good fit for the Jets, why would he do better in Buffalo? That's 8 games in Buffalo, another in Giants Stadium and a trip to Foxboro. So he might have a good game in Miami every year, but that would be a horrible pick for the Bills even if Losman is already looking like another overhyped bust.

Vernon looks really excited to be holding up that Niners jersey. Look at the bright side man, at least Brett Favre won't berate you if you try to get a good deal before training camp.

Why are the Packers taking so long to select Hawk? Everyone knows they want the guy, he's there, so make the pick already.

Amazingly, the New York Jets have made the best pick of the draft so far. Williams won't live up to the hype, the Saints should have taken Ferguson but ended up coveting the shiny package when they already have an All-Pro back, and Young won't play until 2008.

Which is why the Jets fans are widely regarded as not knowing shit about football. A 10-12 year LT is better than a pretty boy QB who can't throw in Northeast conditions and will be booed every time he underthrows a 10 yard out in November/December by his 2nd or 3rd year.

Can you say "bust"? Vince Young is no Steve McNair. Jet fans will riot when they don't take Leinart, even though he'd be a bust for them. Take Ferguson and be done with it, or call up N.O. and ask who they want, and how much you need to pay for Bush.

Because the Jets (like the Mets) are second class citizens in the area. They play in Giants Stadium, and generally they suck, so they get higher picks more often than the Giants too. As a Giants fan, it'll be 4 or 5 hours before my team picks this year, while the Jets fans have been looking forward to the draft since week 4 or 5. It's like Christmas for them.

I still think the Jets will pull the trigger on a trade for Bush in the next hour or so.

The Jets should do whatever it takes to get Bush. If nothing else, you'll at least have some excitement in this upcoming 4-12 to 6-10 season. If they stay put, draft Ferguson and steer clear of the lefty Pennington.

Carr's still gonna get murdered and Williams will at best get 40 tackles and 8 sacks as a rookie. They're potentially on the hook for $62 million to a guy who won't be able to help them do much of anything since he doesn't address their glaring weakness, or at least alleviate the problem by spreading the defense and giving Carr more options.

They will though if the end up with Brick. Knowing the Jets they will end up fucking up royally and drafting someone like Vernon Davis since Pennington can't throw more than 10-15 yards anyway. That draft lowlight video is fucking awesome. The Texans just spent $56 million with almost half of that guaranteed on a guy who was unanimously thought to be lazy as in he took almost the entire first half of last SEASON off. Leave it to Houston to draft a guy based on him being a workout warrior. Mike Mamula anyone? At least the Texans did something nice for the Hurricane Katrina victims by gifting the city of New Orleans the best player in the draft, or at worst two or 3 more high picks to trade down a few spots.

I was out last night, but props to LeBron for hitting a game winner, even if he took 17 steps to do it. I can't get mad at him, just like I couldn't get mad at Kobe for sodomizing Nash in game 2 with the dunk even though it was a charge. The Kings shouldn't be up 2-1 because one fluke play went each team's way. 2-1 Spurs looks about right considering you guys lost the 1st game in a huge blowout. Ripper, what happened to the Suns in 5 games, EASY? You guys are lucky to not be trailing 3-0 at this point. Who knew that Phil Jackson would earn a fucking paycheck for once and that D'Antoni would end up looking like a Rucker League coach when his uptempo offense gets shut down? Again, Lakers in 6.
