The remark was to Kinetic who stated that the Patriots seemingly hadn't played a tough schedule in a while. Last year, the Patriots played 8 teams with a record of .500 or better and the Bengals/Bills (twice) both finished 1 game shy. They played 11 games against teams with at least a 7-9 record. That's 69% of their total schedule. 38% of their opponents had at least 10 wins, with Washington at 9. Kinetic - "Nice to see New England finally drawing a difficult schedule" You're saying the above schedule wasn't difficult, Naiwf? Sure, they had some easy cream puffs but EVERY team has some of those on their schedule (just look at Pittsburgh this year... Cleveland, Houston, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, San Diego, Washington) Thanks for playing though. The entire schedule was not difficult and that's the point. No one was trying to say that Pittsburgh played against a murderer's row this year when the two Ohio teams are in their division and largely provide cupcakey deliciousness for the Steelers year in and year out. Back on topic, if you remove the 16 games that the Patriots won from the equation, their opponents were 120-120 on the season. The played the equivalent of an 8-8 schedule throughout the year and you cherrypicked the 8 games they played against winning teams, while conveniently negating the double dose of the Fish and Jets last year along with the other bad teams to prove a point that was flawed from the onset. I hate when people bullshit with numbers like that and I felt the need to call you out. A .500 schedule is nothing to be talked up as difficult simply because the good teams you played were really good and the bad teams were the dregs of the league. Just like I can't say that the 8 games I picked means they played the easiest schedule ever, you can't select the 8 good games and claim they played against a SOS of 65.6% or whatever it was.

They also played the 1-15 Dolphins twice, the 4-12 Jets twice, the 5-11 Ravens the 7-9 Bengals and the 7-9 Bills twice. Combined W/L: 36-92 (28.1%) or their ENTIRE SOS was against teams that went 120-136 (46.9%). Thanks for playing though.

Matt Ryan won Offensive ROY with 44 votes, far in front of Titans running back Chris Johnson with three. Broncos tackle Ryan Clady had two and Bears running back Matt Forte got one. I'm sure Marvin will be livid that his boy Flacco didn't even get a single vote.

If Huizenga sells the team, Parcells can walk. The Tuna may be a miserable sonuvabitch, but he's no fool.
-
If they make that deal, I will just have to give up on the Mets as a franchise and find something else to do for the 6-7 months that baseball is played.

Falcons by 10 - it's over at the half Colts by 3 - when in doubt pick Peyton Ravens by 4 - Ed Reed delivers the winning margin with a pick 6. Eagles by 7 - although they could just as easily bring their "C" game and lose by double digits This would set up Eagles/Giants III, Falcons/Panthers III, Ravens/Titans II & Colts/Steelers II en route to Manning vs Manning. That would set up the most obnoxious lead into a championship game in the history of sports and that's why I demand it.

You say that now, but Leftwich is even less mobile than Favre. He wouldn't survive the season. Garcia doesn't seem like the type of guy who would play well in Giants Stadium 8 times either. I don't know where the Jets go now. What kind of pick did they lose now that the Jets didn't even make the playoffs?

Just wanted to point out that it's 27-3. All hail "Mr. September" with another LVP performance in a critical game in December.
-
Some of those Miami fans are Mangini haters. This week on local sports radio I'd say about 2/3 of the Jets fanbase wanted their team to lose simply so the Man-genius can get sent packing.
-
Yeah, it's really respectable that he didn't try to win the game for his team and missed a wide open receiver who just happened to be about 17 yards down the field. I'm glad he will always remember missing such an easy pass to set a record.
-
Is there any reason Reid didn't challenge that? Westbrook could very easily have been ruled as not making a "football move". When is Philly going to move on from the walrus era? I think Jim Rome probably just went sprinting down his block thanking God for the perfect season he's always wanted.
-
Does Chucky get to keep his job? A single win in the final month probably gets them a playoff spot, and there's no excuse for losing to Oakland at home with your season on the line.
-
The Falcons look like they have a playoff win in their grasp since the Cards are one of the worst top 4 seeds ever.
-
I can't believe the Saints went for the record instead of a Hail Mary. Classy.
-
Brees will throw a 17 yard pass here, just watch.
-
The Vikes won, thanks to the Giants blowing their last possession. Oh well, let's go Eagl---. I can't finish that sentence but the sentiment is there.
-
It looks like the Bucs are going to lose more games in the last 4 than they did in the first 12, lol.
-
Brees has led the Saints to the lead, with 21 straight in the 4th. He is however 16 yards short of the record.
-
Ugh, Carney just missed a 48 yarder meaning that the Vikes can win with a FG now. I know we don't need this game, but a win here would be nice.
-
So, Brees actually still has a chance at Marino's record. He's 61 away, the Saints are down 6 with 5 1/2 to go and should get one more possession.
-
Members of the Giants secondary sure do like to fall down a lot.
-
The Vikings are getting ripped apart by David Carr and Sinorice Moss. Is any team in that division not horrible?
-
I love Tarvaris Jackson. That guy is the drizzles.

Those wacky Chinese and their love for all things Chinese and Rockets.
