Well think about it, songs like "Walk the Line" has been covered many times. There's multiple versions to draw inspiration from so they can switch it around. Using songs released in the last 6 years, where there's not likely to be covers yet makes them uncomfortable changing it. Also, we're still used to the regular versions. I didn't mean the styles, I meant that almost everyone tonight completely sucked ass vocally. I guess Elliott getting the last spot didn't necessarily mean as much as I thought it might. When Bucky (who I actually like) is sounding better than almost everyone else, you know it was a weird night.

How is it that this group did a lot better with songs from the '50s than the last 6 years?
-
That's the best so far for me. He could easily be on the radio tomorrow fronting a band, or solo.
-
Mandisa ruined it by trying to church up the intro and running out of breath. I think she just fucked herself which is admirable considering how big she is
-
Mandisa is going to KILL this song. Actually she didn't, which is odd considering I'm sure she's sang it at least 100 times.

I know that Michael McDonald released something last year because it was in a bunch of Hallmark commercials if I'm not mistaken. It might not be trendy, but I'm sure he could sing the hell out of it. Or he could just do something off of the Ray soundtrack if there is one. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! *nervous tick from side to side*

Randy doesn't fuck around when he can't play to the Dawg Pound.
-
Ace is going Constantine with his "rock edge". He sounds like shit too already. I guess we're 0 for 3 right off of the top.

"Suds in a Bucket"? What. The. Fuck? Kellie, welcome to the bottom 3!

Somebody put a bullet in Seacrest. Lisa sucked. We all know it, so stop being a douche for once Ryan.
-
As you can see, Lisa was on stage and singing about 2 minutes into the show. Seacrest usually takes that long just making stupid remarks about Simon's outfit/hair. Lisa sucks as a performer, and that was supposedly her strength. She's bottom 3 tomorrow fo' sure.

Rumor has it he's doing "What If?" by Creed. I think that would fit him nicely.

But they're still not known as a defensive team because of VC, RJ & Kidd. I don't think anyone would have taken a bet that they would have held the Suns to 72. . . unless you were talking about a half instead of the whole 48 minutes. From what I saw of the game, it was pretty staggering to see them shut down one of the best offensive teams in the game and how easily Kidd held the soon to be 2x MVP in check.
-
I don't know why they didn't just let him rest and rehab for the whole year to begin with.
-
Yeah. I remember when they did something like 10 in 1, or 9 in 1 and it was ridiculously rushed. There's a lot less fluff, but there's also a heavy sense of opening credits, announcement of theme, quick intro of contestant, song, quick judges remarks except for Paula who is MORE obnoxious when there's less time, commercials, rinse repeat, hard sell, end credits. It's almost guaranteed that you won't even really remember most of the people in the middle just because there'll be so many going back to back.
-
That's terrible. You'd think the guy was just coming off of knee surgery or something! What a great observation! The point I was trying to make is the fact that 3 prominent guys in the Suns rotation ended up with a combined NADA on 0 of 17 shooting in 65 minutes against the Nets who are not a noted defensive juggernaut.

Steve Nash for MVP! Damn, he went 0-5 with 0 points and 5 assists in 26 minutes Amare was 0-6 with 0 points and 2 rebounds in 14 minutes Tim Thomas went 0-6 with 0 points, but at least had 7 rebounds in 25 minutes. That's a boxscore you just don't expect to see.

They shouldn't have needed to go to OT to beat the Rockets
-
Man I can't WAIT for that absolute "lock city bay-bee!" Duke/UConn final everyone on ESPN and CBS was predicting. Morons.
-
Easy, we played better than them. *Yes, I am a bit bitter.* As you should be. It just boggles the mind that Hofstra was able to beat a Final Four team twice in the same season
-
Now that I think about it, how did Hofstra manage to beat that team twice this year?
-
I wonder how Billy Packer feels now that lowly, pathetic, at-large bid stealing GMU has knocked out Michigan State, UNC AND UConn all in the same tourney.

GEORGE FUCKIN' MASON!

We don't want them back, if they play like this again. Geez, what a bad game (from both ends). LSU/UCLA? That doesn't scream marquee game, that's for sure. Don't get me wrong, there's been worse recently. I just hope Mason wins to really screw with CBS and seeing GMU play the "cinderella of all cinderella's" (as people will have you believe that 'Nova was in 85) in the F4, would give something of interest. That means we're getting UCONN/Florida. Probably, Florida/LSU in the holy suck of games. Why did it take this long to hit back to back 3's? What's the obsession with "marquee games"? There haven't really been ANY thus far in the tourney and this has been a pretty good event so far. Yes, there have been clunkers but at least 65% of the games not involving 1/16, 2/15 have been at least above average. I had UCLA losing to Texas in this game, so I won't mind seeing LSU win here. Big Baby for tourney MVP.
