I think GW could make the Elite 8 if Pops is back by then, and that Xavier will be the lowest seed to make a 1st round upset.

Would someone please explain the disputed call since I didn't see it?

But, you don't understand the power conferences have 25 sweet 16 teams since blah blah blah. It doesn't matter that they have 4 times as many teams that make the tourney, or that Duke, UConn and others make it that far every year because they are national powerhouses. Using stats that don't say anything seem to be their specialty. Fucking idiots.

Nantz knows fuck all about college hoops. Clark is an idiot if he thinks all 4 # 1's make it to the final 4. I'd be stunned if even 2 of them get that far.

I'll go with 'Nova, Texas, UCLA & UNC (although it pains me),

Nova looks good assuming Ray is OK. BC could easily bump them out though especially with how physical they are. OSU/G'town would be a game I'd like to watch even though it won't likely be exciting. That bracket didn't do anything for me, and some of the teams that got bumped out are shocking.

Cincy isn't in yet right? So it looks like the Big East will "only" get 8.

UConn/Kentucky or UAB could be a good 2nd round match. Washington a 5 seed? I haven't agreed with any of the 5's yet. Illinois over UConn would make me happy. Tennessee a 2? WTF? Winthrop = best reaction winner right now 6 for the Big East already. The fact that at least UNC or UConn must die in DC = Lots of small schools made it in that region

Not when Xavier will beat them something like 68-65.

I'd like to see Bucknell/Memphis. Pitt and Syracuse both getting 5 seeds is a bit silly to me. They could make the elite 8 though if they make a decent run since Kansas and Memphis are both beatable. I haven't watched a single Pac-10 game all year, but what exactly did UCLA do to get a 2 seed? The Zags are fired up, LOL. Xavier will pull off the upset. Indiana could make a run on that bottom half.

That was awesome, it's like he didn't realize he went to PENN for a minute and thought he wasn't getting a 15 or 16 seed.

Gumbel's fucking up a lot here. Wow, GW got an 8 seed. LMAO. That's worse than the year the Zags got jobbed Duke got a cupcake ride to the Sweet 16 there, but I've got the 'Cuse taking them out for a spot in the Elite 8. Texas looks like the best team in this region despite being the lowest ranked 2 seed.

Yeah, UConn deserved that overall # 1 seed after losing to a then bubble team in their first match at the Big East tourney, while Duke went out and won the ACC tourney. Nantz is a fucking idiot.

    World Baseball Classic

So they basically set this whole thing up so that the USA would have the easiest possible path to the final since we couldn't play the Dominican, Puerto Rico, Venezuela or Cuba until then. That's some serious bullshit right there.

    I thought I heard that A1 plays B2 and A2 plays B1, I could be wrong though.

I don't think LeBron's getting enough calls today. He's only taken something like 26 free throws.

That was a great game. I do however think BC and UNC will both outlast Duke in the NCAA tourney.

I want Boston College to win this game just to show the Big East's supremacy in ACC country as well. That would have to sting to have a team come in from out of conference and win the tourney title in their first season by beating both UNC & Duke in No. Carolina.
  19. The Norman yearly rent would pay about 2 or 3 months for a two bedroom in NYC. You can't even get a decent studio for less than 700 here.

    World Baseball Classic

They lucked out in that Mexico blew out Canada. There was a way for them to be eliminated whether they beat RSA 100-0 or 1-0 depending solely on the outcome of a game they had no control over.

    This week in the NBA

I'm tired of this thread turning into a report on the Lakers every week! J/K I'm sure it's just a matter of it being hard for anyone who doesn't like the Lakers to praise Kobe. I didn't see any of the game, but it looks like he practically did in the Spurs all by himself, which means either Kobe's on a completely different level and/or the Spurs are ripe for an early upset this postseason. I hate San Antonio, so I'm hoping it's the latter.

They just reported an update from his grandfather and apparently he's "alright" and the injury doesn't look serious. I hope that report is accurate for his sake.

Thankfully they didn't show the incident on SC. (I refuse to call it a "highlight") Not a good day for 'Nova or its fans.

Is T-Mac related to Grant Hill in any way? He's 26 years old but has the back of a 62 year old.

What he said. That's just not something you expect to hear while listening to SportsCenter highlights. Ugh.
