Hey, he made that one overrated catch on a Manny Ramirez line drive and, uh, yeah that's about it. Thank goodness I'll never have to hear about how he's a future All-Star ever again.

1. Kurt Warner is in the lead. I'd also have Eli, Peyton and Brees in the discussion. The first two for leading their teams and the last for his Madden like numbers. I don't remember the last time I really had no clue who was going to be in the mix with 3 weeks left in the season. 2. San Diego by far. LT looks like a shell of himself, and without Merriman their defense looks mediocre at best. I don't think anyone would have predicted that their season would have been over by week 9, but that seems to have been the case. 3. I'm skipping this question. 4. The Hochuli debacle aside, I still think they're flat out horrible when it comes to goal line plays and spots on plays that are close to a first down in either direction. I also still don't understand how you can have that many officials and instant replay and it still takes them 5 minutes to figure out things that I was able to see as they happened live. 5. Tony Romo because he is the Cowboys QB, because he continues to keep Jessica Simpson's name out there during football games and because he's such a douchebag. Honorable mention would go to Commissioner Goodell because he's so fucking smug.

Getting rid of Heilman is an early Christmas gift. Thanks Omar.

What he said.

Call it a hunch, but in my mind AJ Burnett + 5 years = Carl Pavano.

I don't expect K-Rod to be Brad Lidge of this season. I just expect him to close the occasional game against say the Phillies, Yankees or Braves with a multiple run lead unlike Wagner. One of the main reasons I dislike Wagner is that he would almost always melt down in games that crippled our momentum, or cost us a two game swing in the standings. I was no more confident with Wagner in the 9th than I was back when we had Benitez or Looper choking critical games away in seasons past. I forgot the exact number, but I think 5 or 6 of his blown saves this year came during games where he was up by 2+ runs, and that's unacceptable for a top tier closer especially when he rarely pitched in a tie game or even a one run game.

It's more likely that Florida's defense stops OU a few more times than OU's defense stops Florida's offense. Whether it ends up 59-56 or not, if OU punts a couple of times they will lose.

I really didn't need to see McGahee that close up. At least the subsequent replays have not zoomed in on the plumber's crack.

I think they were a really good team on a really bad season. Ken/Tina were nothing special, but they would have dominated this competition without the Spanglers in it (they won three legs in a row before Nick/Starr took over). The simple fact that the frat guys ended up 3rd lets you know that there really weren't a lot of threats outside of those two tandems. Terence and Sarah are the only other team that I think could have been any kind of factor if they hadn't foolishly attempted to take that fast forward that did them in.

Using a hometown's fanbase as a gauge for what rational people think is counterproductive, especially when that's the only team in town. OU fans clearly have issues if they really believed that they were anything less than massive favorites in any game other than the one with Texas this year. For nearly two weeks you were having palpitations that there was some sort of nationwide conspiracy to keep the Sooners down and that your team was not going to make it into the Big XII title game when everyone else in the free world knew otherwise. Your team ended up as number one in the nation in the final BCS polls by a fairly wide margin and you're claiming that you want them to be disrespected, when you spent the last month bitching that they were being disrespected. Have a little bit of consistency. OU plays poorly in BCS games because they end up playing teams that can play both offense and defense. If Florida can put up big offensive numbers in the SEC and OU's defense was getting shredded by less talented teams, the signs are against you. That's what most people would predict would happen. It has nothing to do with respect or conspiracies, and has everything to do with common sense. If Stoops can't motivate his teams to play well in bowl games, or even worse NATIONAL TITLE GAMES, because they're the favorites, then he's a horrendous coach who deserves to be fired.

Outside of you, who the hell thought OU was going to lose to Tech, OSU or Missouri this year? They were favored to win each of those games by 2 TDs or more by anyone who had seen the teams play this year. The one game they were doubted in was the one game they lost.
-
Doesn't T.O. point out that T.O. is open on every play? I can't wait for the inevitable meltdown where he finally throws Romo under the bus. The 'Skins look like they're just playing out the string these days.
-
Or how he will complain when Tebowmania runs wild for about 5 or 6 TDs on that "defense".

I'm hoping Carolina beats TB and that the Giants then beat Carolina. That would be enough to clinch the # 1 seed even if they lose the other two games which is a distinct possibility, since both Dallas and Minnesota are at home and pretty much need to run the table to ensure they get in.

I chopped off the unnecessary parts and believe I've got it right. Washington is behind no matter what because Dallas has the better division record for now.
-
My bad. I was looking at some standings that hadn't been updated and forgot to factor in that aspect of Atlanta's loss. If Washington wins tonight, that still wouldn't be enough to knock Dallas back out because of their poorer division mark right?
-
They aren't though. They were behind Atlanta and with both losing they're still on the outside looking.
-
God bless Tony Romo and Jason Witten.
-
Close! Polamalu was a few steps behind him too. I love Tony Romo at the end of the year. You can always count on him to deliver defeat from the jaws of victory.
-
My prediction here is a pick 6 by Polamalu.
-
That looks like a torn knee ligament or three. Scratch that as he got up right away.

Worthlessburger is lucky he plays in a dreadful division. His career would've been over by now if he played in the NFC East. He's been sacked 24 times in 4 games against this division, and if he had to play them six times a year he'd be a cripple by now given his inability to throw the fucking ball away.
-
If OU doesn't lose by at least 3 scores, I'll be shocked.
-
I don't look at losses that way since I'm not a Steelers fan and don't play the woulda, shoulda, coulda game. The Giants were manhandled on both sides of the ball, and were only in the game thanks to special teams. If they'd play that game in Philly, it would almost be acceptable since you're not supposed to win divisional games on the road late in the year. If this is the kind of effort the Giants bring to January football at home, then we'll be this year's version of the '07 Cowboys. The Eagles ran over us with 8+ in the box, shredded our secondary and completely shut down our running game. That combination should be frightening to a fan of any team with championship aspirations.
