I'm going with The Blair Witch Project. The movie itself sucked ass, but that was only compounded by the fact that even in NYC it took us nearly 2 hours of travel time to find a theater that was playing it, the seats were like something out of an amusement park in that they bounced and swivelled around AND I got sick watching the camera gyrate throughout. The fact that it wasn't the least bit scary, or interesting for that matter, and I got to see way too much of the narrator's nostrils and the snot that came from it just make me cringe every time I hear someone praise this movie.

Yeah, but there's no chance in hell of Taker jobbing to the Ankle Lock so he'd basically end up neutering Angle's entire offensive arsenal while Angle would have to sell some crappy looking MMA and bump like a jobber. While I don't think Angle's a longterm champ in any regard, a loss to HBK and a shady match with Taker won't exactly make him look good going into WM. At this point I'm kind of wondering why he was given the belt if they are just going to make him look like he doesn't deserve it.

Denver 24 Pittsburgh 20 - Big Ben throws a crucial pick early in the 4th allowing Denver to take the lead which they won't relinquish. Carolina 27 Seattle 14 - I don't think Alexander has a big game, and Steve Smith STILL catches 9 or 10 balls for 120-150 yards and scores 2 TDs, one on a long pass (30+ yards) and one on an end around or a reverse.

How much worse has Taker been since that point? How awful are the bulk of his matches when you don't get to add in superfluous weapon shots? A straight up Angle/Taker match with both playing face would be terrible. I can see UT kicking out of a couple of Angle Slams, breaking the Ankle Lock about 5 or 6 times before an Orton or Henry run in or something asinine gets him the DQ loss.

So how badly do you think Davenport will lose to Justine tomorrow now that she's got a "sprained ankle"? I'm guessing 6-3, 6-2 or something like that, but she'll talk about how she was close again, blah blah blah. If Lindsay loses tomorrow, Clijsters will be the new # 1 unless she loses today and Mauresmo wins the tourn. . . never mind, Clijsters will be the new # 1

Baghdatis is my hero for the day as he bounced Rod-dick pretty handily. The bottom half of the draw was a basic layup for Andy and of course he gagged again. Federer's road to the title just got that much easier unless he ends up facing Nalbandian in the final.

They almost won the gold with NO jumpshooters. The most talented guys were just sitting on the bench though. Yeah, but the other teams get better over time too. Years ago the 'C' team would have won every game by 15 instead of the 'A' team's 30 or 40. Now we don't have that luxury.

THE GOOD Scott Norwood. Thanks to him, I got to see my Giants beat the supposedly unbeatable Bills 20-19. Bill Buckner. Thanks to him, I got to see my Mets win the only World Series of my lifetime thus far. The 2004 Red Sox coming back from 0-3 down to vanquish the Evil Empire. MATTEAU! MATTEAU! MATTEAU! Messier orgasming as he hoisted the Stanley Cup in 1994. THE BAD Charles Fucking Smith. Thanks to his inability to make a fucking layup, the Knicks lost the Charles Smith Memorial Game and subsequently never beat the Jordan Bulls in the playoffs. I still throw up in my mouth every time someone references that game. John Fucking Starks - 2 for 18, 0 for 11 from 3 point range. I don't know who the bigger idiot was in that game, Starks for continuing to shoot 3's or Riley for not benching his ass.

Until they add someone who can hit jump shots with regularity like Michael Redd or Ray Allen I still don't think we'll be able to win the gold. It'd also be nice if we brought one lock down defender even if he can't score ala Ben Wallace.

That was a nice ending sequence there. Mark Henry is actually earning his paycheck for only the second time I can remember, the other was when he was trying to take the WHC from Goldberg.
-
Finlay looks like Marty Crane from Frasier to me. I don't remember the resmblance being that strong during his WCW run. I'm also thoroughly enjoying Melina's presence as well as Henry squishing the life out of Rey.
-
They don't need to do any turns when they could just be setting up 2 WM matches by having future opponents team up. It's a pretty common practice in pro wrestling to do the whole "squabbling partners" BS.

I'm not really going to argue but I don't see how Bowe rates below Tyson when Bowe beat Holyfield twice and Tyson lost to Holyfield twice. How can you go on Tyson's prime opposition but ignore the one common opponent that ranks above both men when determining their respective slots? Even if Bowe ducked Lewis, Tyson got beat down in spectacular fashion by Lennox so at worst that's a push. After the top 4 it's all a bit messy for me, so that was really my only major complaint. A lot of people thought that this year's USC team was the greatest of all time until Texas beat them so why not rely on the facts and not the expectations that Tyson would've eaten Bowe's lunch had they fought in each man's prime?

I finally bothered to DL the stuff needed to watch live matches when ESPN 2 isn't on, and just wanted to say thanks for the link.

This might be Maven's best chance to get back in the business assuming MTV remembers that he first became known on their network.

Something tells me "Mark Henry" and "good things can happen" don't mix. And you really could buy MARK HENRY in a World Title Match at WrestleMania? Ugh. I'd rather see Mark Henry job cleanly at WM, than an Angle/Taker clusterfuck or Rey Mysterio winning the Rumble to earn that spot.

I would love to see her unseeded and end up drawing Venus in the 1st Round just to get rid of one of them right off the bat. It'll never happen, but I can dream.
-
I wonder if she'll play more than 2 or 3 tournaments between now and the French Open. I really though Davenport might tank it last night as well, but Kirilenko messed up her foot, fell behind 2-0 in the 3rd and that was that. I'm much more excited about the women's draw now, especially if Clijsters manages to somehow feel better, and I'm just hoping we get Federer whipping Roddick 3, 3 and 3 in the final.

I tend to agree with this. On another site I go to, most of the people there are entertained by anything the WWE does and don't find it possible that someone could possibly think that the "humor" WWE tries for comes off flat. 90% of the posters there don't back up anything they say and just come up with "it's my opinion" as a failsafe response to anything. It got so bad that people were recently lamenting the loss of Heidenreich, a guy who was nearly unanimously voted as the worst wrestler on that very site. So I come here when I want to actually talk about wrestling with people who didn't start watching simply because it was the cool thing to do during the Attitude Era. I tend to agree that just ignoring posters is the easiest thing to do if you don't want to see what they have to say, but then again I have a low post count so my opinion is probably irrelevant anyway.

I'm beginning to hate the fact I don't think I'll ever get to see Hingis live unless she plays a match that fits in the TV window. Last time she played the match was delayed and I went to sleep. I knew her match tonight wouldn't start before 1:30 AM EST/5:30 PM Aussie time, but it's closing in on 3:30 AM now and Ferrero looks like he's dragging this guy to a 5th set which means she won't step on the court for at least another hour and I'm not staying up until 5:30 or 6 to watch the whole match. Ugh.
-
So much for Mary Pierce. I just hope Hingis doesn't lose to someone she should beat in this upcoming match since the draw really opened up for her to make it to the Quarters right now as there are no seeds until then, and Clijsters is hurting too should she get that far. Great match by Benesova though.

After listening to Bill Polian say that Peyton played well just a couple of minutes ago on "Mike & The Mad Dog" on WFAN/YES network it's no shock why the Colts will never win a big game. Just for the guy who said Peyton gets too much blame I felt the need to show you his winning and losing playoff game stats. It truly is night and day. Stop living in the past, Mark Henry is the present AND the future!

The WHC hasn't been on the line and Rey didn't go on an unbeaten/superhuman run. If the fans can turn on Cena (and now seem to be doing the same to AJ Styles in TNA) it's only a matter of time before they'd get sick of Rey's "match" if he was the champ. It's one thing for Rey to be the underdog who wins matches on SD, it's something completely different to have him beat 29 other superstars to win the Rumble, co-headline WM and win on top of that, which is what some people seem to want.
