I won't say it was all Shawn's fault, but the only time since 1984 that I consistently stopped watching the WWF/E product was while he was on top, and I know I'm not the only person who felt that way. There have been plenty of guys who I didn't like who were "the man" so to speak in all of the major feds, but no one turned me off more than HBK. Before anyone asks, I was an important fan to lose, because I was a Nielsen home that contributed to WCW's 88 (?) consecutive week run as #1.

If Orlando Jordan beat Cena, Batista, Carlito and Benoit for all 4 major singles titles on the same night in squashes, he still wouldn't be over. The guy is truly a lost cause.

I figured this too, but then wouldn't it be easier to just send Ashley to SD? They'd only have to move one person per show instead of two and it wouldn't mess up any storylines or characters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The 2005 RAW Diva Search winner being moved to SD a week after winning the contract would have made for a potentially good storyline, so of course the WWE went the other way and ruined a couple of angles they were already running
-
I thought it was pretty obvious that they moved Christy so Ashley wouldn't have to "compete" with her as this year's RAW Diva Search winner. Torrie and Stacey probably just got moved to make it seem like an even trade in that each was the top eye candy diva of their shows, and Candice Michelle got thrown in to even out the numbers. The timing of it all seems weird because Keibler was just getting involved in a storyline with Hurricane, and it might spell the end of the Eugene character as there's no one left for him to align with.
-
Wow, you're right. Can't remember who was hittin on Stacy, but he did come out and say something like "that's my girl". Wow...they make no sense. None. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was Conway after he told Stacey to move out of his way so he could look at himself in the mirror.

That match made me glad I sat through a Masters promo I only hope that they realize that Shelton is their best untapped talent sooner than later.
-
Who is Masters to talk about someone losing their hair though? He's got that huge bald spot growing in the back of his head at 20 or 21 years old.

Isn't it pretty much a given that the Rey/Eddie storyline isn't over now since the proposed Rey/Orton, Eddie/Batista programs will be scrapped for Orton/Batista, and because supposedly Rey/Eddie draws TV ratings? That's why I think it was moronic to put Rey over yet again. If that was the definitive end to the feud, then I suppose I can see Rey winning, but if they end up fighting even once more this year, that whole segment was pointless and could've ended up putting both guys out for a while with the botched spots.
-
I personally thought Rey/Eddie was the worst match that actually had a finish on the show (which doesn't count the opening two bouts for me) in that it served no purpose and wasn't really crisply executed either. Between the botched and contrived spots, the sheer stupidity in the build for this particular match, the ridiculous overbooking towards the end, and Rey winning AGAIN, I just thought that whole segment was a waste of time.

What the hell's with all the illogical handshakes in WWE lately? First Matt Hardy with Vince, now HBK with Hogan?! Before the end of this year, we're probably going to see Eddie shake Rey's hand. Damn, the writing truly sucks now in WWE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about Vince/Bret? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A Shawn/Bret embrace would be dumber, so it seems more likely.

HBK jobs and then goes out like a bitch sucking up to Hogan to boot. That was the perfect ending for an HBK Hater such as myself. I just hope that the crowd doesn't end up making him a huge face again tomorrow night like I think they will.
-
Wow, they really went all out to make HBK look like a jobber. I'd love this if it was anyone but Hogan on the offensive right now.
-
I didn't know Hogan has working boots. I've been watching him since '84 and haven't seen that pair yet.
-
I think the appropriate ending to this match/PPV is the Fingerpoke of Doom II.
-
I love how they keep trying to make him the lovable, underdog babyface when his shelf life is about 2 months max before the crowd completely turns on him. Eugene getting shitted on would only be bested if the crowd does the same later on when Hogan faces HBK.
-
The first hour of this PPV has made me glad that I've stolen every WWE PPV for the last decade plus. Right now, I actually feel bad for those who dropped $35 on this.
-
It was meant to be a brutal fistfight between these two guys with a few chokes and stomps thrown in. If Edge or Matt would have attempted something as simple as a bodyslam or a suplex, the match would have COMPLETELY failed. They made it a realistic fight -- which is exactly what it needed to be. They really couldn't have done a better job with that match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They could have had Edge pound on him a bit more. When it's almost a mortal lock that Eddie, HBK and/or JBL will bleed buckets later on tonight and none of those matches will be stopped at that point by the official, it looks a bit silly to have the referee step in for Matt so quickly. The idea was correct, I just didn't like the execution.
-
Aside from that spear spot, and insane ringpost bump by Matt, that match was pretty lame.

If you know that T.O. stands for Terrell Owens, then you should know that he wanted out of San Fran, ended up in Baltimore for about a minute and a half before he bitched that he wanted to play for Philly or he'd sit. He got his way. Fast forward to him getting a broken ankle late in the season. The prevailing thought is he'd be done for the year. The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, he came back against doctor's orders, gave a heroic performance in defeat and was a huge fan fave in Philly. . . . until he fired his agent, hired Drew 'The Shark' Rosenhaus and said he's sit if he didn't get a new contract. That's ALL NFL related stories/shows have focused on since the incident. He reported to training camp, got sent home, came back this week, and I think they just said he got sent home again, or injured. Basically, the T.O. gimmick would be to be a monumental pain in the ass throughout negotiations, or what Austin did when he was the "most coveted free agent in the draft's history" a few years ago.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Shelton/Show vs Masters/Snitsky at SS, only to drag out Show/Masters for another month or so *vomits*
-
Shelton can't break the Master Lock? Come on.
-
At least they're consistent with the baiting and switching. I guess if you can do it on PPV, it's only logical to set up something for a week on TV, and then not come through with it.
-
Next week, I expect a Handicap match, with midget Heart Throbs. >_> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You were off by a week.
-
So basically all of the new SD recruits lost or looked bad yesterday, and now Angle looks like a chump too. Why are they punishing all of the draft picks?
-
. . . but couldn't beat JBL in his SD PPV debut as champ. If anybody needed to look like Superman last night, it was Batista, not 'Taker.
