WTF is going on with the officiating here?

It would be nice if Pitt would decide to wake up sometime soon.

Marquette got lucky there.
-
Horrible final play by Tennessee. Good riddance.

I need another heel who can cut a promo and work a brawl, so I'm going to select Vampiro. -

Flair went in the 3rd, Hogan slipped to the 4th round and Funaki is a 5th rounder. That's just wrong on so many levels. You guys just gave me a migraine. Thanks. -
I can't believe I actually thought those underachievers could win two games. My Zags bias cost me. I'm hoping WKU pulls off another upset because it's always nice to have a 10+ seed make the Sweet Sixteen.

They just gave it back to them there. Illinois should have had a couple of extra ticks at the end. Didn't matter either way. Fuckin' Illini.
-
If Illinois pulls this one off, this would be one of the worst chokejobs I've ever seen in the tourney.
-
Clemson was my only loss of the day until Illinois decided to shit the bed. That one loss will cost me twice though. The Big 10 did me dirty on both of those selections. Ugh.

I'm not going to have many cruiserweights so I'll need a few women to supplement my tag teams. I'll start with one of my favorite female workers of all time, Mighty Molly (Holly). -
I think that was a bad charging call because the Purdue guy leaned into it with his arms, but it helps my bracket so I'll look the other way.
-
If Northern Iowa ever hits one of those wide open threes they've been missing all game they should beat Purdue.
-
I'm 3-0 and I hardly watched any NCAA hoops this year.
-
He hit 10 threes? Damn.
-
This Butler/LSU game has been pretty tight throughout as well.
-
If Memphis blows this game I don't ever want to hear them bitching about being disrespected by the seeding committee in the future.
-
Coach Calhoun was taken to the hospital and won't be on the sideline for the UConn game tonight.
-
Memphis is looking like ass against Cal St. Northridge. I usually don't like picking them or the Zags because they usually end up disappointing me in the tourney.
-
I'm hoping that the basketball prospectus guys are right since those 3 teams are in my Final Four and I went with Louisville beating Pitt for the championship. I don't like picking two Big East teams for the championship game but I really didn't like anyone else either. Having said that I wouldn't be shocked if all 3 teams lost this weekend just to blow up my bracket. It looks like Cheech edited his post. There was nothing about UNC or Gonzaga there when I responded. I have Oklahoma beating the Tar Heels to join Memphis and the two from the Big East. I've got Gonzaga losing to Illinois which will be great for me if it happens.

The difference is that Dallas lost to a team it matched up horribly against. You're saying that the Lakers will lose to EVERYONE in the Western Conference playoff mix.
-
You're pretty much saying that a team that is 53-14 and looking to get back one of their starters soon is a piece of shit and obvious first round fodder for an 8 seed. What about that isn't trolling?

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis

Not really. When I was a kid, the building (1 & 2 BR apartments) I live in was city owned and no one was paying more than $300 a month for rent. Once the city sold the building to a private owner in '99 the minimum rents tripled to at least $700 for everyone and the apartment that I live in now (a small 2 BR in what used to be classified as "the ghetto") now goes for AT LEAST $1200. The neighborhood I live in doesn't have jobs that pay $50,000+ but that's the kind of income you need to make in order to live in a neighborhood where the rents have gone up anywhere from $1000-1500 a month in the last 10-15 years. I don't need to tell you that the average income has lagged behind that increase greatly. In simpler terms, very few rich people live in my neighborhood, but there's nothing you can do when studio apartments are in the $700 range. For my zip code, the Average Household Income is $49,808 Median Household Income is $27,415 That's a HUGE discrepancy, but the landlords don't give a shit and still continue to charge the amounts that wealthier people can afford to pay. Gentrification hasn't made my neighborhood any "better" or "safer", but it's made it almost impossible to live in without a roommate or two. -
It's not September and the Phillies aren't chasing.
