I was being sarcastic since the judges were doing everything they possibly could to ensure that the Americans wouldn't win this one. Some of the scores in the first two and a half rotations were just way off.
-
Give 'em credit since they tried their hardest. Nastia should have won by at least a point and a half and Johnson should have been that far ahead of 3rd. If Shawn had made one more minor error she would have ended up with the bronze which is crazy.

That was obvious when it was on live. Dan missed one of the easiest questions possible and Memphis flat out didn't care.

We don't need them, but once the Yankees went off and formed their own network and started generating huge sums of revenues the Mets followed in their footsteps. The majority of the programming on YES, SNY and the MSGs is crap. I pretty much don't watch MSG anymore since the Rangers lose some of their games to the Versus network and the Knicks are garbage. YES at least has Nets games in the "offseason", SNY has nothing of note.

That sucks. Russo didn't add much to the show the last few years, but I can't take Mike by himself either. He hates the Mets, doesn't watch any hockey or NBA games and I can only take so many hours of Yankees talk every week/month/year. The FAN doesn't really have anyone else they could slide into Russo's seat either. My gut says the ratings will slide gradually over the rest of this year and a change will be made by January.

Not really, because younger is better in female gymnastics. I'm sure there are a bunch of girls who would've made the US team over some of the current members if not for the age limit. I doubt it because we don't really have anyone else who has competed internationally or won anything that Johnson, Liukin, Sacramone or Memmel hasn't won. Our top two were locked in since they're two of the 10 best in the world, and there isn't anyone 15 or under who would have displaced the team captain or a former World Champion. Maybe they would have been able to get on the team and be used in one of the events during the qualification process, but there's not a female gymnast in the US who would have changed the outcome since Sloan only did one event and Memmel did hers despite having a broken ankle. The other 10 routines were done by the three best people we had regardless of age.

This guy is not the greatest worker ever, but his gimmick will fit in well when I run shows in Texas. My next pick is Bart Gunn. I'll be using him as a blend of the Brawl for All guy that slapped Dr. Death around and the Smoking Gunn.

That's my favorite WCW Hitman promo.

I feel bad for the Nats and their fans tonight. They're down 10-0 in the 3rd and Acta doesn't have anyone up in the bullpen yet.

The team captain is probably 16 or 17, but she's listed as being 20. The tallest one looks like she's about 14 or 15. The one that was standing second from the right looks like she's around that age as well, but the 3 babyfaced ones are likely somewhere between 11 and 13. As someone who has seen Chinese acrobats perform in Cirque Du Soleil and the New Shanghai Circus the majority of the girls on their team look to be about the same size, shape and build as girls billed as being between the ages of 8 and 14 on those other programs.

The US Women's Gymnastics Team is imploding here at the end. Sacramone fell off the beam AND on the floor and Liukin and Johnson both stepped out of bounds on the floor as well. They'll probably still get the silver, but it has to be disappointing considering that if they'd stayed upright and in bounds they would have had a legit chance at winning the gold.

The Red Sox are looking like the Mets at the moment.

Iguodala agrees to a 6 yr/$80 million contract with the 76ers.

I need to buy some time before my next pick so I'm going with the only person who came to mind after picking up a couple of trios. I'm going to select a Canadian female wrestler who is most famous in Mexico. My next pick is Sarah Stock. I hope to see her in the WWE some day, and based on the bonus pic I added in, I think she'd fit in well.

The former. I can't understand for the life of me why guys feel the need to ride motorcycles in the midst of their athletic prime. In most cases riding is more dangerous than what they do for a living and considering the number of careers that have been ruined or ended because someone wrecked, I just don't see how it's worth potentially losing your career or life doing something that will still be there for you to do when you've retired.

1 ER, 6 IP - Pedro Martinez 6 ER, 3 IP - Mets gasoline pourers It's one thing to let the Phillies come back and beat you, but not the Pirates who have nothing to play for. I don't understand how Minaya has a job since the bullpen has been the achilles heel for two seasons at least and he's done NOTHING to improve it.

The Mets blow another 9th inning lead, and when Schoeneweis gives up the lead I do believe we'll take over the major league lead in losses after leading after 8.

If you've never played WR before, I wouldn't recommend it because you'll have to learn how to run routes properly and there's really nothing that can prepare you for the first time you take a hit coming across the middle. If you don't mind hitting guys your best bet might be Strong Safety. They basically don't do anything but hit people if it's a running play and occasionally you may have to cover a TE or a FB, but those guys tend to be fairly slow so it's not that bad. You need to get your cardio up to play football because it's a completely different feeling running around in pads, with a helmet and a mouthpiece than it is jogging in shorts and a t-shirt. If you're the kind of player who gets tired frequently you're not of much use to a team since you're not big enough to play on the line.

What a fucking idiot. I guess I just don't understand the allure of athletes riding motorcycles.

Breaking News: The Mets bullpen continues to suck.

I get skipped again for taking another trio.

I think the biggest mistake on all of these reality shows where votes decide who stays and goes is that people plan for the endgame from day 1. That just doesn't work anymore. Richard Hatch was able to do it and that was really the last time I saw a plan that was made in the first few days be sufficient to win the prize at the end. Jerry isn't actually IN an alliance as far as I can tell. He's kind of buddy buddy with April/Ollie and now Michelle/Memphis, but none of those people are tied to Jerry. Never being able to rely on any specific person is the biggest problem with being a floater and it's why it's almost impossible to win when you set your whole gameplan up that way. At the end of the day Dan, Jerry and Renny need to REALLY make a pact with someone and stick with it because otherwise they're destined to fail.

Costas just said that Italy and Sweden broke the old WR in that race. The 5th place team just swam the 5th fastest time in history. Amazing.

Best event I've seen so far. Kinda made up for Hoff blowing her chance at a gold on a touch just a few minutes earlier.

What a horrible finish.
