    TWIBsies! June 23 - June 29

Holy shit, a Carlos Delgado sighting and an idiot fan on the field back to back. This game might end by 7 at this rate.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Slutty Lita works for me picture wise. I was thinking of the post neck injury version that was more power based and wore shorts. The DDT she hits Molly with in the clip should have been her regular finisher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WDJHb6-40g

    2008 NBA Draft

I guess Minnesota and Memphis like picking in the lottery. What a retarded deal for both sides.

    2008 NBA Draft

David Lee has been the best pick they've made and kept in this millenium and he's just an effort guy. Everybody else is a bench player at best on a BAD team. There's no one else on their roster that came through the draft that would get significant time on a playoff level team. When you get a top 15 pick you should at least get a starter and that's not what the Knicks have been drafting. Projects or roleplayers aren't good enough when you're losing 50+ games a year.

    2008 NBA Draft

Just because I felt masochistic. New York Knicks first round draft picks since Ewing. 2007 -- Wilson Chandler, DePaul - bust 2006 -- Renaldo Balkman, South Carolina - roleplayer at best Mardy Collins, Temple - bust 2005 -- Channing Frye, Arizona - bust David Lee, Florida - serviceable forward 2004 -- None 2003 -- Michael Sweetney, G'town - bust 2002 -- Nene Hilario, Vasco da Gama (Brazil) - turned out to be a solid pro but we traded him 2001 -- None 2000 -- Donnell Harvey, Florida - bust 1999 -- Frederic Weis, Limoges (France) - bust of all busts 1998 -- None 1997 -- John Thomas, Minnesota - bust 1996 -- John Wallace, Syracuse - bust Walter McCarty, Kentucky - decent 3 point shooter Dontae' Jones, Mississippi State - bust 1995 -- None 1994 -- Monty Williams, Notre Dame - bust Charlie Ward, Florida State - mediocre PG at best 1993 -- None 1992 -- Hubert Davis, North Carolina - solid shooter 1991 -- Greg Anthony, Nevada-Las Vegas - couldn't shoot but I liked his toughness 1990 -- Jerrod Mustaf, Maryland - bust 1989 -- None 1988 -- Rod Strickland, DePaul - was great elsewhere since he was only a Knick for 1 1/2 seasons 1987 -- Mark Jackson, St. John's - he was only here for 5 years 1986 -- Kenny Walker, Kentucky - won a dunk contest but that was about it 1985 -- Patrick Ewing, Georgetown Weis was a bust of a pick because we wasted a # 15 selection on a guy who never suited up for us and whose career highlight was tasting Vince Carter's ball sweat while Ron Artest who grew up here went next.

    2008 NBA Draft

Memphis had just made the worst pick so far, but my Knicks ended up trumping it with their next Frederic Weis level bust with Gallinari. Ugh.

    2008 NBA Draft

I'm hoping 5 teams pass on that "bad kid" and leave him there for the Knicks.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Ugh. I was going back and forth between him and Kid Kash last round. I figured I'd take the more current guy and get Koloff next, but that didn't work out. Well, at least this makes my next pick a lot easier.

David Wright gets a day off and comes back with 2 HRs in 2 ABs. Who knew that resting a guy once in a while might actually stop a prolonged slump?

    2008 NBA Draft

He might be able to guard those other slow white guys who get burn in garbage time. Other than that, I don't see him stopping anyone. I think it's kind of cute that ESPN had him on PTI today and asked him what he thought about getting picked 3rd like that was even a possibility.

    The NBA Offseason Thread

I'm assuming you're putting Boston and Detroit in the top 4, so where does Miami fit in against the likes of Cleveland, a healthy Washington, Orlando and Toronto? I guess I just see them in the mix with Atlanta, Philly and some of the other bottom feeders for the 6 to 8 spots, not a 3 or 4.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Except for the retarded gimmick that pegged him as a midcard guy for life. When something like "I choppy choppy your pee pee" is what you're remembered for, that's not good.

    The NBA Offseason Thread

Apparently Shawn Marion did NOT opt out of his deal. If Wade is healthy and drops the weight he gained and they pick up a nice piece in the draft they'll probably compete for the 8th seed next season.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I'm about to sign off and since I likely won't be on when it's my turn to pick I PM'ed mellow.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I'm a little bit lost on the order here, but is HTQ next? If so I need to PM someone my pick unless he steps up and makes his within the next hour to 90 minutes.

    2008 NBA Draft

If they can keep the six and/or package it with the # 5 for the three and something else then I'd do that. After Beasley/Mayo/Rose I don't see anyone that can help the Knicks immediately. If they can get to the # 3 spot they get one of those guys for sure. If not, picking 5th and 6th opens up some other trade possibilities as well.

    2008 NBA Draft

My gut says one of the Pistons will end up being moved and that the Knicks might move one of their few tradeworthy commodities.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

My last pick was going to be the FBI, but then I would have needed at least another face team so I went with Doring & Roadkill instead.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I wasn't told that I was up next. I decided to pick up my 4th tag team here and although they weren't ever insanely over, I think they're a solid babyface pair which I definitely need considering my tag team tastes tend to lean towards heels. Having said all of that, I'm taking Danny Doring & Roadkill.

    All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I've been thinking about taking this guy since I picked up Scorpio but figured I could wait. However with Tommy Dreamer going recently, I've decided to pick up The Sandman here. I was hoping to somehow get both of those guys but was afraid picking one would lead to someone nabbing the other. This way I got the one I preferred and don't have to worry about it anymore.

    This Week in Baseball 6/16 - 6/22

Adrien Gonzalez has now been thrown out at home twice on horrible baserunning decisions.

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

GP's got almost 22,000 points (27th all time and 9,000 more than Nash) and 9,000 assists (7th, +2,200). He also averaged over 20 PPG 7 times. That's why he's getting in on the first ballot. If Nash has 4 more "Steve Nash" years he'll just be approaching Payton's numbers by the end of the 4th season. That's a pretty big gap when Nash is 4 more prime seasons away from touching Payton.

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

I'll agree with that. There's at least 20-30 guys playing right now who will end up in the HoF at the end of the day, and it is nitpicking to debate whether or not someone's a first ballot guy or not, but isn't that what message boards discussions are 90% of the time anyway?

2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics

6 time leading offense and 2 MVP awards...of course he should get in on the first ballot. I know you don't like the guy, but thats just beyond silly. His career numbers are 14.3 PPG, 7.9 APG (12,278 total points, 6,787 assists), or basically he's not on par with a guy with no HOF aspirations like Stephon Marbury 19.7/7.8 (16,209/6,396 and he's 3 years younger). If he didn't have the 2 MVPs he wouldn't be a Hall of Famer. As it is he does NOT deserve to make it in on the first ballot unless he does something in the postseason.
