The Spurs have either looked like they could easily repeat or a team that has no business being on the court with their opponents. There's not a whole lot of middle ground with their performances.

I don't know if Shaq will be able to get along with those two primadonnas though. He couldn't stand Kobe even with Phil there and people forget just how much he hated Penny.

That picture is eerie because Sloan looks exactly the same minus the color of his hair and that had to have been taken at least 15-20 years ago.

I need a back up PG, so I'll go with a guy who averaged about 16 & 8 (peak was about 17 & 11) with a FG% of .483 Norm Nixon 2x NBA Champion 2x NBA All-Star (1982 & 1985) 7th all time in APG (8.3) 23rd all time in assists (6,386) I also discovered that he's married to Debbie Allen

I'm up for it if you still need people.

He's being treated like he's Olajuwon in his prime.
-
I say trade him to the Knicks for Eddy Curry since you need a big man.
-
D'Antoni choosing the Bulls over the Knicks looks even more ridiculous now.
-
I don't think he'll get back to me, so I'll grab my back up center here. Yao Ming NBA All-Rookie 1st Team (2003) 6x NBA All-Star (2003-2008) 4x All-NBA Selection

Horry will deliver a solid forearm shiver, eh pick to Kobe's bad back and Bowen will try to land with his foot right under Kobe's as he comes down from a jumper by accident of course. The real answer to this question is Manu.

Yeah, IIRC one of the final outs was a bang bang play at first that looked like it was a hit. I remember thinking that it was cool to see that ref have to make a call on the spot knowing that he'd have to take a no hitter away if he called the runner safe.

Pistons in 5 Lakers in 7 Knicks win the draft lottery to start the LeBron to NY move that will save basketball in the league's biggest market.

"Officer is there a problem?" I like how the gladiators are cockier this year.

Women playing Earthquake = a snoozefest.

Turned to ESPN just in time to see Jim Edmonds with a Jim Edmonds special.

Nene is foul prone, and as you said, they lose frontcourt depth for a PG who isn't a franchise PG and a SF who is no better than the one they had already. I personally would never trade an "elite" center for a marginal PG unless you're in a situation where you're trying to clear cap space or getting rid of a team cancer in the process. If that's what Denver is trying to do, then it's a good deal for both teams.

How would they guard anyone on LA's frontline (or any other team with guys over 6'8 at the forward/center spots) next year with that group of relative midgets? I don't think they would end up scoring any more with that lineup than the squad they had this year, but would almost certainly give up another 5 points or more per game.
-
Why would the Nuggets give up 2/3 of their starting frontcourt for a lesser small forward, a back up point guard, an expiring contract and a lottery pick? I can kind of see why the Nets would make the deal but Denver would be much worse off.

Boneheaded defensive play by Pierce there. A dunk still leaves them down 4.
-
I'm sure the NBA is happy with this Game 7 being the only one they had this weekend. Celtics/Pistons Game 1 wouldn't have been nearly as exciting if Boston had closed this out the other night.
-
My money is on Ray Allen missing a wide open shot to cost his team their season.
-
I think it's entirely possible LeBron beats the Celtics by himself because the Celtics are playing 4 on 5 whenever Ray Allen is on the court (3 on 5 on offense because Rondo looks like he's allergic to taking a jump shot). He doesn't deserve to advance to the next round.

God bless Kyle Farnsworth. Santana wasn't that good today but got the victory, which balances out the couple of wins that the bullpen stole from him earlier in the season.
-
I definitely did not expect Williams to miss that shot at the end. At least this series provided some really good games.
