I see Seattle is playing NY Giants "defense" after taking the lead on a critical drive. Fags.

Payton crushed the field to win Coach of the Year. "Payton received 44 votes in a season when there were a half-dozen outstanding coaching performances. Eric Mangini of the New York Jets, another first-year head coach, got three votes, while San Diego's Marty Schottenheimer, the 2004 winner, received two. Jeff Fisher of Tennessee got one." I thought Man-genius would make a run at him, but this was an LT level beatdown.

It's amazing that I had to wait 9 months to get a PS2 while looking for it on a weekly basis and now you've got people selling PS3's bundled with decent games at a loss.

The Bulls just got hosed as Hinrich was fouled and Wallace got a tip which was waved off as offensive interference. Terrible, terrible no call/call combo.

I just picked up a brand new copy of Beyond Good and Evil this past Monday for $10. I can see why it was touted as the "Best Game Nobody Played" the year it came out as it has a lot of cool elements. Most importantly, I think this is the first time I'd ever seen a copy of it anywhere and I live in NYC so I'd imagine it wasn't released very widely. The original Shadow Hearts, and SH: From the New World also should probably be on the list.

Exactly. Defending Saban, and his basketball counterpart Larry Brown, is just retarded because they fall in and out of love with jobs on a yearly basis. If you love coaching that much, but hate the problems that come with high profile jobs, and money doesn't matter as they always say then go coach HS or Juco. I wish both guys would just go away already. In reference to something else posted, Saban might be getting less per year, but he's adding $17 million in guaranteed money by breaking yet another contract and his "genius" would have gotten him fired if Miami went 6-10 next year. This way he gets to look like he's doing it for his family or whatever, but 3 years from now when he gets bored at 'Bama and chases money elsewhere I want to see what changed for him, just like Mike Hampton had to leave NY for "the Colorado school system" but quickly backtracked a few years later as he got the fuck out of dodge and headed to Atlanata.

Awesome "D" by the Kings. LOL.

Pitching to the score means you shouldn't be laboring by the 4th or 5th inning of most starts. Kay was full of shit as usual.

I enjoy how quickly the NFL awards come out after the season, especially in comparison to how long MLB waits to announce theirs.

It's oh so nice seeing ND taking it in the buns again.

Riley's taking a leave of absence. Gotta love these coaches who fuck up other guy's jobs and then move on without a second thought.

This site says The Shield should be back in April. I thought I'd heard March, but can't find any link to that. Not sure if the site's entirely on the mark, but it'll be back sometime during the Spring. http://epguides.com/grid/winter.shtml

Saban just dicked over Miami leaving a guaranteed 3 years/$15 million I think, and did the same to MSU a few seasons ago. That's what's Larry Brownesque about his travel map through the US chasing the almighty dollar. I don't care if he has a winning season along the way I just want him to cripple 'Bama before leaving to see if football people are as dumb as the basketball minds that continued to hire Larry Brown all of those years.

I hope Nick Saban becomes the Larry Brown of football and destroys Alabama before moving on to his next job.

The Broncos will be on TV for both San Diego games, at least 1 against KC, as well as Chicago, Indy, Pitt and possibly Green Bay. Again, that's far too many times for a team most people don't care about now that Elway's long since retired.
-
Apparently they're putting Tiki in the mix next season. Bleh.

Coughlin will more than likely get a multi-year extension if he beats the Eagles. Argh.

12-9 in the playoffs is suddenly a bad record? Dungy is under .500 as is Schottenheimer. Pittsburgh has rebuilt their team like four times and have never seemed to miss the playoffs for more than one year at a time under Cowher. Dungy the "defensive mastermind" is in control of one of the worst defenses of all time in Indy. Horrible, horrible comparison. Chin is one of the best coaches in the NFL. I would rank him, Gruden and Bellichick in the top 3. They have two in house replacements who are hot head coaching candidates in Whisenhunt and Grimm. I highly doubt that they wouldn't hire one of these two guys should Cowher step down "The Chin" was under .500 before last year's run. If Dungy wins a SB this year he'd be just as overrated as Cowher. It's an apt comparison. You currently ranking Gruden as a top 3 coach ends your credibility.

This is the Sexy Rexy we all know and love. I can't wait for him to kill the team in the postseason.

Seahawks 27-24 in OT over the Cowboys in "The Game I Don't Give A Shit About Because I Hate Both Teams". Eagles stomp the Giants 28-6 (my homer pick would be Giants 17-13) Pats take a huge lead early, coast to a 27-17 win over the Jets Colts win 28-24 over the Chiefs on a last minute TD drive by Manning That would set up Sea @ Chi (UGH), Phi @ NO in the NFC and Indy @ Balt (double UGH), NE @ SD (thank God for one game I'd really want to see) for the AFC.
-
Nice job by Kurt Menafee missing the call on a GW/playoff hope ending FG. That guy is completely useless.
-
Pittsburgh would need a big name coach considering they've had a whopping two head coaches in the last 38 years. Cowher is an overrated underperformer (12-9 in the playoffs, lost 4 AFC Championship games AT HOME), who lucked into a Super Bowl at the tail end of his career largely thanks to some horrible officiating. He's Tony Dungy with a ring.

How did San Diego earn the # 1 seed when Marvin said that they might not make the playoffs? If Denver continues this chokejob and the Dolphins don't make a miraculous comeback it looks like we'll get Indy/KC and NE/NYJ which is a pretty solid WC round for the AFC.
