Last night's episode MADE the season for me. Jonathan's sleaziness during the auction was awesome, as was the look on the YWT's faces when he told them "Yul does have the idol. HE SHOWED ME THE IDOL!" You could almost see the three little light bulbs flicking on for a split second before fizzling out again. The best part though was easily when Becky sent Candice back to Exile and took her money on top of that. Yul showing the idol was smart IMO. He basically let everyone else know that it'd be pointless to vote for him because he can save himself up until the F4 or F3, I can't remember which it is. He might not win the money due to pettiness but he has played the best game so far, with only Jonathan and Ozzy even approaching his level of play. The only reason he won't win is if the YWT and Nate hate on him for being a better player, and that wouldn't have changed whether he'd booted Jonathan first or last because they're all petty people as evidenced by everything that happened from the start of last week's Tribal Council until the end of this week's. I still think it's ironic that Candice's decision to mutiny to be with her guy ended up saving Ozzy, Sundra and Jonathan's lives in the game. Had she just stayed put she was a lock for the F4. Instead she got sent to Exile 4 times, went home in 8th place, killed any chance Parvati or Adam had of going far in the game and basically gave Jonathan, Ozzy and Sundra a better payday with at least one of those three almost guaranteed a spot in the F3.

Come on, we all know black people can't be racist.

I'm already sick of the Tony Romo hype.

I'm glad to see the Bengals finally playing up to their ability again. I'd love to see them get into and then go deep in the playoffs, especially if there was some way it'd get us a San Diego/Cincy rematch in the AFC Championship game.

So, um WHY exactly did Namco decide to release games for the PS3 again?
-
His post WS reign possibly. But how can a guy who helped deliver the first championship to a team in nearly a century be labelled a disaster? Cubs management and the Dolans are examples of complete and utter disasters, not Theo.

I can all but guarantee Jeff Suppan is a better RHP than Santana, but that's about it. Anyway, I'm hoping the new Japanese imports are as successful as Kaz Matsui was for the Mets just so people stop spending millions of dollars just to bargain with them. It reminds me of when collegiate guys were drafted into the NBA before the advent of slotted salaries, and someone like 'Big Dog' Robinson got about $68 million over 10 years before playing a MINUTE of NBA action while future HoFers like Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing were still making $ 3 or 4 million per.

Because they generally make about 50-60% of the kicks teams really need them to, and that's a slightly better conversion percentage than going for it on 4th and 5+ early on in a game. When a guy like Vanderchoke misses clutch kicks he can get cut. When a coach deviates from the "book" too often and doesn't succeed, he tends to get fired. I guess what I'm trying to say is that kickers are generally cheaper and easier to replace scapegoats than anyone else on the team.

I finally watched the last 2 episodes last night and have to say the lack of DL/Micah/Niki and Jessica was GREAT! Here's my stream of consciousness thoughts on the stories/characters they focused on over those 2 weeks. * I like how they added in Charlie, made you think she'd play an integral role in the overall storyline, and then whacked her all in one selfcontained snippet in the grand scheme of things. Ando's role is getting better every week, and as we all know Hiro is flat out awesome. The only thing that puzzled me is why Sylar didn't just (attempt to) kill Hiro in the bathroom instead. I realize that they needed Hiro to "miss" Homecoming to have Peter try to save the day with no powers of his own, but it was just kind of puzzling that even a serial murderer ended up doing the whole dumb as a rock villain thing. * Sylar is interesting but seemed a little bit too powerful given that he survived that fall with very little injury, killed Charlie easily, and practically broke Claire in half with a swing of his arm. I did however like how Eden mindtricked him and of course the first ADEBISI~ sighting in a few episodes. * Claire's dad sucks. Claire's outfits do not. I like how they've changed her outlook on life in just 8 episodes, and seeing Jackie get sliced and diced was pretty good, especially after she got KTFO'd earlier on. Does anyone know why Peter didn't recognize Claire especially when he'd seen the picture of her, and drew the one where she "died" when Isaac couldn't finish it? I couldn't figure that out especially when Claire and Jackie didn't look that much alike. * Suresh and the Dream Child was an OK deviance for what it was, but there were parts where it dragged a bit too much. * I think Peter showed the most heroic attributes of anyone on the show when he was going to willingly sacrifice himself for Claire. I'm guessing Claire's dad probably will be involved in getting him out of jail, though I'm not sure if that's what I want to see happen. * The scenes with the cops and Radiocative Man were very interesting, although I hate Greg's wife because she can't act for shit. I'm hoping the red headed FBI agent (?) got nuked in the car because she was terrible in limited TV time. * Isaac needs more of a prominent role, while Simone doesn't because I have no interest in her whatsoever. I think that was everything. I know I'm probably going to dislike the next episode because I just can't get into the scenes with the Sanders twins, Micah and DL. That might change if they were at all involved in the major storyline, but as of now they just seem like a completely unnecessary diversion that hasn't had anything entertaining aside from the moment DL phased his hand into one of the twins' chest.

More bullshit from TAR producers.

That whole decision was retarded. The Barbies should have been shanked by one of the other teams. Common sense tells you to yield a strong team and hopefully knock them out of the game. 'Bama finished about 5 minutes behind everyone in a short sprint and no one had the foresight to leave them in as a definitive weak link. What's up with the boneheaded decisions by people on TAR and Survivor this year?

Dude, the NFL has this brand new invention called the Wild Card. As a matter of fact, 2 teams per conference get them into the playoffs. Even if the Chargers don't win the division they can get in unless they end up losing all 5 games.
-
The fuck are you kidding? The Broncos won't knock the Chargers out. They're 3 games up on the 7th best team with 5 to play, or the same lead that the Ravens have over the Bengals for the division and a spot in the postseason. Unless LT and Rivers both go down, they're making the playoffs.
-
They couldnt beat the Ravens on the road..duh.. Hmm.. Anyway, the Ravens play the Bengals on Thursday and they can clinch the AFC North with a win. Wont be easy winning on the road with a short week but it should be a good game. Yeah, a 3 point loss on the road to a 9-2 team is something completely shameful. I guess since you guys couldn't win in Denver that the Ravens should just give up on their hopes of winning the title this season. In any case, if the Chargers win 1 more game than the Ravens (which is entirely possible), the rematch would be in San Diego with an extra week's rest and I don't think your squad will fare any better in SD than the Chargers did in Baltimore.
-
Where is the "nearly lost" column in the standings again? The Giants "nearly won" today, but they didn't. This isn't the BCS system. Wins are the only thing that matters and right now the Chargers can be down 21 and still come back to beat you. The Ravens are a great frontrunning team, but if they fall behind a playoff caliber squad I don't think they can overcome that. Assuming Indy locks up the # 1 seed, that means either Baltimore or SD probably gets the #2. The one that doesn't will have to play a WC game and then play the one that does on the road. Looking at their results, San Diego has lost twice this year by three points each and all 9 of their wins have been by at least a TD. The Ravens have two 1 point wins, a three point win (over SD at home), and a six point win as well as a two point loss, and a 10 point loss. I think it's much more likely that the Ravens get knocked off in a close game by a Denver or Cincy type team simply because they rarely are involved in blowouts.

The Super Chargers are winning the Super Bowl this year. They're the only team that seems to know how to/want to win even in adverse conditions.
-
Eli, Plax, Kiwanuka and Coughlin all need to go. This team is a fucking joke.
-
The Giants actually seem to have a professional offense today and they've also forced 2 turnovers. It's 14-0 and the Titans look like the opening day '06 Titans. LT gets # 23 on the year. At this pace he'll break the single season TD record next week in the 4th quarter.
-
I've learned today that WVU sucks ass and Florida doesn't deserve so much as a sniff of the BCS title game.

Nate's stupidity got him exactly what he deserved. His fate was sealed the minute Adam convinced him, with little effort mind you, to vote out Brad. Then Adam convinced him to vote out Rebecca, and by the time Nate tried to do something smart for his own benefit (ie: vote Jonathan during part 2 of the double vote), the white alliance put the boots to Jenny and he had no hope left. It still boggles my mind how Brad, Jenny, Nate AND Rebecca all let Candice and Jonathan flip tribes and send them home one at a time with no resistance. I nominate that quartet as the dumbest foursome to ever play Survivor. Had they just gotten Jonathan first, like anyone with half a brain would have done, it would have been Adam, Candice, Jonathan and Parvati on the jury instead of them. This season has been one huge blunder after another.

Which number will be higher Lee's HR total for 2007, or the amount of weight he gains by Opening Day '08?

I never paid much attention to Scrubs until midway through season 4 or so because I had things going on that prevented me from ever watching more than 1 or 2 eps per season. With the show finally reaching syndication I've been able to catch up on a lot of things and have to say that I really think the JD character is a huge asshole. I hadn't noticed it catching bits and pieces of storylines, but he just strikes me as completely phony and insincere. I'm also not a big fan of Keith since he seems like a superfluous character. The show probably shouldn't go on without JD, but then again most shows on TV probably shouldn't be on and yet they are.

OSU '02 only won because of that dirty hit on McGahee that shredded his knee. I don't remember the "Tee Martin tapdances on Peyton's head by winning the title that he couldn't" game though.

Or, in NYC we were taught that < is less than and the easiest way to remember that is it looks like an "L". We didn't need to remember it backwards because of a video game character. Or to use proper notation, NYC's teaching methods are < convoluted than Texas'. To get back on topic I must admit it's funny seeing how enraged Yankees fans are that Christ Jeter didn't win the MVP this year, but last year they thought it was hi-larious that Sawx fans were bitching about Big Papi getting swerved.

The example makes sense, starting off by saying that you remember the difference with < actually meaning "greater than" doesn't.
