re: pierre for some of these teams, money doesn't mean anything. its just a matter of getting the right guys on their team. i think pierre was probably signed otu fo fera that all of the top free agewnts would be off the table in a week & the dodgers would have no one to replace drew. but for a team would sorely lacked in the homerun department, going from drew to pierre is an enormous downgrade.

people slip up? dude said nigger like 18 times. thats no slip up. he meant what he said. but yes, stand up is stand up. it was funny in a train wreck sorta way.

alright ladies, relax.

kramer is just bitter. because he is only known as kramer. watching kramer be so mean was kinda vile. hecklers are lame in every form. like sporting events. the performance of his racism seemed kinda forced.

amazing in a paragraph you managed to say nothing at all.

the cubs have no one to trade for baldelli & crawford.
-
poor poor cubs. there's two viewpoints 1. people who hate this deal ---> cubs fans 2. people who love this deal ---> people glad their team didn't sign him for that price

way to accept mediocrity from a man who claims to be the "greatest rapper alive". or is that lil wayne? the album sucks. quit sprucing it up.

i really really like yoshimi. like lots.

i don't see a soft bulletin to be a masterpiece. masterpieces are rare. but its a flaming lips album, which means its great. really great.

well, its not that i think signing thomas is a bad move, i just think their attention should have been focused more on pitching. they already were in the top 5 for batting average, slugging, hr & stuff. which isn't the end all be all, but it demonstrates that they weren't exactly starving offensively. pitching, on the other hand, was laughable. you'd see them try to fill the 4th & sth spots on the rotation with green rookies, who are somewhat touted, but had a lot of trouble getting it together. when they pitched every third game it was almost a gaurenteed loss. like i haven't heard the jays being involved in acquiring any starting pitching, which i find unsettling. plus, its unfortunate that j.p. is trying to compete with the sox & yanks in an arms race instead of drafting well & bringing in quality rookies. they have aan anemic farm system. ultimately when he gets fired next off-season, we'll look back & say he really didn't do anything to help this team. i want to be wrong. i've always had a soft spot for my home country bluejays, i just remain a tad befuddled by their g.m.'s approach. the thomas signing in itself isn't bad. its less than what the tigers paid to get sheffield. its significantly less than what the sox are gonna pay drew. and if he bashes out even 30 extra homeruns with a decent b.a. & obp it is a success.

He Poos Clouds is considerably better than Has A Good Home, with all of the whimsy intact. I'd move onto that, after you finish crying yourself to sleep. Also, you can probably use P2P to find the bootlegs of his performance from this year's Over The Top Festival, which has a nice mix of tracks from both albums. I'd recommend checking out "Hey Dad", specifically. oh i know he poos clouds. i was just listening to has a good home. there isn't one that stands above the other. it strikes me in the same way.

i don't care what anyone says. the jays need pitching. jannson & marcum were awful last year. chacin has spent for time on the dl than playing. burnett is injurt proned as well. losing ted lilly to an already top heavy staff hurts them big time.

only a true canadian can reference a show with the headstones & blue rodeo. it doesn't get any more canadiana than blue fucking rodeo.

paul you make that much money a year? i hate you. my bike its like sitting on a coach but riding a bike. comfy. if you want speed & trails, you may want to skip this. but if you want a leisurely bike ride with a cup of tea this is for you.

if this is the case then i have totally misread her. good for her.

was shocked. he's a decent situational lefty who any team would love. but, boy, did he come at a steep price. detroit wanted to keep him badly but not at that price.

The Blue Jays were 7th in runs scored but 5th in runs allowed. Plus, they have a opening for a designated hitter, with Shea Hillenbrand gone. those stats are actually quite interesting after watching more than enough games, and reading the stats of games i didn't see. it seemed as though pitching was their achilles heel.

riccardi should be fired. his team had more than enough fire power, they needed to concentrate on their pitching. maybe this means that vernon wells will be traded for pitching, but thats still an awful trade off for them. i understood when the a's gave thomas an incentive-laden contract, but to flatout pay gaurenteed money for thomas when they have so many other concerns is beyond preposturous.

even tupac is iffy. as a youngster i loved tupac. but he doesn't really have the trach record to be put in a category with others. all eyez on me, like nearly ever double album, had tons of filler. and death row filler is awful. with angry rapper chicks, castrated r & b, and generic g-funk ripoffs. the idea of tupac is better than the real tupac. but puff daddy is so amazingly talentless as a rapper that even the best ghostwriters, star collabs, & million dollar productions are reduced to nothing. but boy can he ever dance!

derosa is supposed to be the starting 2nd baseman, i guess.
