i can't speak for everyone else here, but i truly believe that i have been told!

I gave you kisses in the other thread, specially just for you.

totally. my restraint is enviable.

mike obviously didn't learn about investments growing up. bragadociously stating that he pumped thousands of dollars into this hell hole demonstrates that he'd arguably be one of the dumbest motherfuckers around. furthermore, it demonstrates that the man does not have anything better to spend his $ on (ie. boyfriend/girlfriend) and that since he's financially bound to tsm, he might as well attempt to impress some blowhard bitch on said wrestling message board. i don't think flaming him really does much since his pathetic existance is quite obvious to everyone.

Recommend Some Jazz for Me

i also love max roach with eric dolphy on perscussion bitter sweat. drummers as band leaders are usually quite regretable, but this one is tops. like gene loves free jazz, i'd say i love the step right before it. the early - mid 60's where they got more adventurous but still maintained a certain melodious framework. the pot is bubbling, the jazz is cooking, and ready to explode into chaos. miles's filles de kilamanjero is an example of beautiful restraint. a sense of adventurism yet with one foot still in the grave of traditional jazz. -

tony willams lifetime - turn it over eric dolphy - out to lunch dexter gordon - go dave brubeck - time out and for the season: vince guaraldi trio - charlie brown christmas when you're reading up on jazz. start with the big names like mingus, coltrane, miles, monk, brubeck ect. then start taking the side road & look into their sidemen. there's a plethora of untapped classics from so many of these guys. -
eddie's more into the powders than the booze anyway.

i don't get any of this.

they deserved game 4? really? deserved? come on. the cards have played as well as having 83 wins. the lowest amount ever to win a world series. Yes. David Eckstein came up with the clutch hit when his team needed it, and Yadier Molina did the same. but without any of the errors, the opportunities wouldn't have arised to be "clutch".

definately. the cards squeaked by the mets with their top two pitchers. not excuses by they're beating people at their worst. its not about what they're doing, its what is wrong with their opponants. if they win the world series, they will be total lame duck champions. seriously.
-
when are they gonna get over their shitfit & release the macho man dvd already? come on. that and a ravishing rick rude one. i'd be done.

exactly. what i'm saying is that this series is more a result of the tigers faults than the cards supposed great play. thats all i was trying to say. this is the series that tigers pissed away; through errors, pitching, poor managing, impatient hitting, sloppiness, ect. the numbers explains this completely. nearly any team would be up 3-1 with the way the tigers have been playing. and i'm not debunking the cardinals completely, but all of the sports writers across america are lauding a st. louis team for almost being GIVEN a world series ring by detroit.
-
certainly, but game 4 was crucial. series should be 2-2. which makes their chances much better. and game 1, while mistakes weren't overt, the gave reyes an easy time. they were impatient and hacking at everything. there's a reason why la russa is pitching weaver instead of reyes in game 5. but still, i'll admit the cards deserved to win game 1. but no one in their right mind should say that the cards deserved game 4. no one. it was the tigers game to win and they lost it. game 3, there is something to say about zumaya's error. afterwards one could say it meant nothing. but it deflated their egos when they can easily make a 2 run comeback instead of a four run. it was a nail in the coffin. and before we go batty with the cardinal supporters, they are batting .220 as a team in the world series. obviously something else is at work here if they're up 3-1. come on.
-
i understand that this is baseball. and i'll get over it. i am just taking people to task for saying how amazing the cards have been. how surprised we should be by their playing. i just think the tigers have more to do with this series result than the cards. i'll give carpenter credit for tossing a gem. i'll give them credit for those hits where they've capitalized on the tigers mistakes. but without the tigers mistakes, the cards hitters would not have had the opportunity to make those timely hits. and this has nothing to do with the tigers pitching. outside of the bullpen performance in game 3 and some of verlander's start, they've beem great. fielding? not so good.
-
who cares how they play during the season, it matters how they do for this little stretch of games. the cubs could be finding the holes, the tigers could be tentative at the plate, and the cubs can score runs without base hits, just errors. it happened tonight. i'm just saying. the tigers were swept by the royals at the end of the year. i doubt they were playing any worse then they are playing now.
-
let me put it like this: if the tigers were playing the 2006 cubs in the world series, i think the series would still be 3-1 for the n.l. representative. this has more to do with how the tigers are screwing up than how the cards are playing.
-
no. i don't mean to come across as saying that the cards were inept. its just that the tigers pitchers did such a great job of shutting them down. and the tigers hitters were finally hitting well against them. it was probably the worst game for them in the series. they had a few clutch (yes, i'll admit it) hits after the tigers made silly mistakes. without the mistakes, the tigers would have won this game & we'd be talking about how the cards need to make some adjustments to deal with a resurging tigers team. kudos to the cards, i guess...but hardly a great victory.
-
GREAT? come on. are we saying the cards played GREAT? GREAT? is that what we're saying? ya, great
-
you're right. but it looked as though his reaction was delayed, or even moved in the other direction for a split second. sure wilson had clutch hitting, its just they wouldn't have been in that position if not for the stupid mistakes. the tigers pitching has been phenomenal. the hitting was back. then THIS.

i'm close to an anglesault-size meltdown.

tonight though? come on. the last few runs had NOTHING to do with what the cards did. between grandersons slipped, rodneys toss, and monroe's miss the tigers GAVE the cards this victory. the other games, i agree completely.
