should've explained further.
i am preparing to go to school to be a history teacher. need money so...
right now i work as a teacher assistant in grade 5. its an eye opener to the politics in working in a school system. it pays well enough to pay for school next year and it allows me to get a position in the system when i'm finished.
i've decided that i am willing to pass on working in secondary school for elementary. it has really grown on me.
Think about it long and hard. Teaching is a pretty hard job, at least from my experience so far. Having nice long breaks is cool, though. And sometimes kids actually learn stuff. That's okay, too.
i know lots about it. i did it all last year. this is my second school i've worked at. i totally understand what is required with acquiring resources, dealing with difficult parents, after school meets, modifying work for special needs students/slow learners. its merely about getting the money and finding a school that will accept me. but thanks for the advice. sincerely. the one thing this experience has shown me is that i would be willing to work with younger students. something i had always had a negative opinion toward.
