How does it hurt? It's an upgrade for our horrible offense. It gives Iginla more help, and a real 2nd scorer. We already have a large amount of capspace anyway. i dont necessarily think tanguay is going to make a world of difference. he'll help, but the flames have NO offensive punch whatsoever. its a team of grinders. which is fine. but if that one line is shut down, they'll be toast. you can use a huge chunk of your cap space on two guys. thats my opinion. thats why the lightning died this year, too. and thats why the canes did so well.

It's different, though. The Tigers weren't built to win during that stretch. Money wasn't being invested in the team and the expectations weren't there. Many didn't figure the Cubs to be a force this season, but with the resources available, there's no reason things should've been this bad. The lack of accountability is probably more frustrating than anything happening on the field. Instead of doing something about the lack of patience at the plate, poor hitting with RISP and overall lack of fundamentals, all of the Cubs' woes have been pinned on the loss of Derrek Lee by the Cub brass. There's no reason for a team that cost almost $100 million to build be one of the worst records in baseball. There's no reason for Neifi Perez to be getting this many starts in a week. There's no reason that a change of some kind hasn't been made, whether it be Dusty getting the pink slip or the hitting coach being let go, since it's clear whatever he is doing, it's not working on the team's hitting. It's not as if they can't get runners on base. They've had seven baserunners in three innings today and have no runs to show for it. It's the story of the year and it's frustrating to sit through. Especially when it could've been avoided. you're right 100%. i'm not saying you shouldn't complain. the cubs have honestly become laughable. anyway i was probably out of line. dont worry about me.

mccartney happily became a cartoon character in the 80's. he became less about music & more about being a jolly good guy. whenever anything tragic in the world happens he sorta pops outta nowhere as the universe's spokesman of happy to cheer us all up. being nice is fine. but having to witness it is sickening. and the music...does he even make music anymore? yes i know he sorta does, but it sucks. i haven't heard it, but i know it does.

boy, a metalhead not understanding the merits of two of the greatest songwriters ever. shocking. appeal? dylan, for actually transforming songwriting into a sophisticated realm. more introspective & social conscious. thats the appeal. we can blame the singer/songwriter, double album, and 9 minute pop songs on him as well. as for lennon, the appeal is that he was the leader of the fucking beatles. and if you need someone to help you understand the appeal of the beatles on music, then i doubt you really should ever participate in a music discussion. about any music. its not about liking the beatles, its about music. and how they changed it. overhauled it. its easy to say that they aren't relevent today as they have been ripped off so many times, though.

sabu is the only ecw thing that is working. he comes across as a total madman. an interesting character for anyone not familiar with ecw. and to those who know ecw, he's the only one who seems to have retained any of his ability. although he isn't really about ability, more just stunts. but they still look nice.

the first three songs outclass the rest of the album, but the rest is a fairly inoffensive, lightweight affair. and in regards to a previous thread, thats with all of these people saying an indie rock dudes cover of lets dance is better than the original? admittedly, i've never heard the newer (and apparently) hipper cover, but the original is fabulous.
