College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

A&M is looking good. This game is good. I can't wait to see Zags vs. Indiana. And tomorrow... Pitt gets Bradley, wooh. After EVERYONE all week on local radio was talking about how they were going to tank it against Kansas or maybe even Kent St., we don't even PLAY Kansas...and we're smart enough to take Bradley seriously, and experienced enough to not let them disrupt our game.

College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

I hate that I turn on the nba game for a moment...and who's making an insane play but Dwyane f'in Wade, the man solely responsible for Pitt's early exit against marquette several years back. The good news is at least we lost to a SUPERSTAR nba level player

College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

In the spirit of the tournament, Air Force is really showing why the committee chose them, hanging tough with Illinois into the 2nd half.

I hope so. So much. Billy Packer and Dickie V can go choke on their acc love and die.

Why did everyone bet against GW ...they only lost 2 games this year. That's usually a good indicator. of SOME ability.

Hah. Someone let me know if something important happens in Zags v. Xavier. For some reason cbs online thinks my local game is THAT, even though my local game is UNC-Wilm and GW.

Winthrop vs. Tennessee or BC vs. Pacific.

College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

The thing is, Winthrop is BETTER than a 15 seed, they're like a 13, and tennessee is like a 5 seed... so it's not that outlandish to pick them (I didn't...but i don't doubt for a second they can and probably WILL win) DAMN that big guy on Winthrop looks good. Outside shot and athletic.

I will be doing this when I get home, for sure Nevada has Shawn Kemp playing for them?!?! Who's this kemp kid they have, is he related. That immediately changes my outlook for this game

Nevada is too strong inside to lose to Montana. They may be down early, but they'll wear Montana down on the interior. I can guarentee they win this game by 15 points by the end...

You're not in enough office pools then. 170 of 213 in my main one took OU. Lolz. Sheesh. I guess i don't talk to many people about basketball, who don't KNOW anything at all. I made a mistake with Seton Hall though, I really thought they were better. I also picked Tennessee, yet i'm -rooting- for Winthrop... (shows how much I care about my bracket) I did my mothers for her, and made her pick UWM, so she might be the only one at her work (She's a nurse) with that pick

College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

I don't know anyone who -didn't- have UWM to beat Oklahoma, everyone knows the Big 12 is weak this year, and UWM is a good team. I, unfortunately, picked Seton Hall...bad move on my part, Wichita State is pretty good. The weird thing, is I may have done a bracket...but in almost EVERY game, I'm just going to root for my favorite team to win (Or the underdog if I don't like either team much) I don't much care about my bracket, I like to see low seeds win over high seeds, and I want to see my favorite team do well

    This week in the NBA

You know...I don't like ESPN's studio crew for nba at all, but I really love Tirico and Tolbert during a game. They have a relaxed way of doing things, seem focused, unbiased and just allow me to enjoy a game with useful/effective commentary. They have chemistry imho too. Just had to mention that.

    This week in the NBA

Tim Thomas is shredding the clippers defense...just dunked on f'in Kaman hardcore...and Kaman played pretty good defense on the play, Thomas just looks STRONG.

Actually considering the geographic locations of everywhere, the brackets were chosen pretty smart (Other than italy, south africa, and netherlands, they weren't going to win anyhow) All the latin teams WANT to play each other. That's BIG down there. If you take the usa (and maybe even mexico then) out of the bracket we're in, that makes it WAY too heavy on one side with quality teams (And it already is pretty heavy to the latin side) I think it's just fine, I mean the u.s. isn't even likely to MAKE the semifinals at this point.

I just liked some of the reasoning for the picks, because it sounds exactly like my mother making her picks. No joke, she was asking me "Which teams wear red...wait I don't like Ohio State, any other teams wear red...I see red" It's just funny

    World Baseball Classic

Well then I'd agree with you 100% there. I was mostly just listening to the first 7 innings of the game, but the 7 k's by Daniel Cabrera seemed a bit odd, and I did see some of those pitches. ...I REALLY want to see Korea vs. Japan tomorrow...wish they'd broadcast the game thing live.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/blog/index?name=simmons Best sports guy article ever maybe. Even if you don't like him, you'll like this, as he doesn't do any of the writing at all (to my knowledge, he might have reworded stuff for added affect) He goes to his mother and wife for bracket picking advice, some of the comments are HILARIOUS, and it's worth it. Just solid stuff

    World Baseball Classic

I thought he was making good calls, honestly. VERY tense game, came down to the wire. Can't wait for PR vs. Cuba tomorrow, and Korea vs. Japan is gonna be a good one (Can Korea remain undefeated in the WBC)

    World Baseball Classic

I suppose, but the way they talked, it seemd like they blamed the Cuban players for the situation with not wanting to have anti-Castro signs, etc. They just weren't very sympathetic, I suppose. No chance Puetro Rico wins this game with K-rod coming in...damn is Venezuela stacked at pitching for a short series, if they get to the finals with Zambrano and Santana able to throw 95 pitches and K-rod/Julio in the bullpen. Nasty.

    World Baseball Classic

Basically means the next two games are pure elimination games. And guess whjo pitches for Venezuela, my FAVORITE mlb pitcher, Johan Santana, I can't WAIT to see him going up against the D.R.'s power hitters KNOWING that the final round is on the line
