    This week in the NBA

I actually looked up his stats BEFORE my previous post...and I saw the improvement in turnovers and particularly this year in the amount of 3pt shots that he's taken. And to say Kurt Thomas looking like crap in phoenix is a result of not having Marbury...Steve Nash is CLEARLY better than him at setting up shooters, I mean look how he got Joe Johnson a fat contract, and is turning Boris Diaw into a star player...so don't attribute Kurt Thomas' ability to marbury... The problem with Marbury is he's got a superstar contract, and is SORT of thought of as a superstar...but to get to the next level he DOES need to play with a Shaq or a Tim Duncan You know where he would fit... Utah. I think Jerry Sloan could work with him, I think AK-47 and Okur would be good compliments to him, his personality would actually mesh well there...and if he could play defense he would be perfect for them. Obviously they just drafted Deron Williams, but that's a place I could see his game working in. I don't DISLIKE Marbury...I just don't think he's proven that he's really as good of a player as he gets credit for, and I'd like to see him do it. New York definitely isn't the place for him though. Nor Indiana (I like Jasikivicous much better as a playmaker).. And it's not just about winning playoffs, it's GETTING to the playoffs. Marbury can't even do that most of the time...and I'll admit he's constantly stuck on teams right BEFORE they get good through the proper management...but there has to be SOMETHING to that beyond just that. And T-Mac has done pretty good on his own actually, and he's never had huge talent around him (I love Yao but he's turning into a role-player due to his inability to play 35-40 minutes a game)

    WWE Tryouts

That's why I said that wasn't cool...I don't know what Amy ace looks like, so it was kinda you saying amy ace isn't real hot...which isn't the nicest thing to say. But hey, who knows. The girls they show on their website that they already looked at in florida, none of them are insanely hot...but definitely good enough looking as to be molded into their diva image.

    WWE Tryouts

Ouch porter. That's not cool I wonder if the tryouts are open to observation. I'd love to just stop by and watch, be interesting to see how they handle it. Maybe if I con them into thinking I'm with the local media or something

    This week in the NBA

I'm sure he would suck ass in europe, but there he wouldn't be hurting the nba with his sloppy play. You honestly think he'd fit in seattle? I'd rather have Ridnour driving and DISHING than Marbury driving and turning the ball over, or making a crucial defensive mistake. He may have talent...but he's a LOSER (literally). every team he's on just never does as good as they should, and you HAVE to admit he's gotta be responsible for that at some point. He might be BETTER OFF with the knicks, because if Larry Brown can't change his mindset, who the f' else wants to try. I just don't buy Stephon Marbury as a star player. I never will, not at this point at least. Comparing him to REAL stars like T-Mac, Kobe, LBJ is impossible. I mean Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili are both more talented and better decision makers with the ball in their hands. Or chauncey billups who plays a similar game/has similar athletic gifts but he knows how to put it together properly...hence why he doesn't have the NUMBERS of marbury, but he has the ring and the Finals MVP.

    This week in the NBA

Marbury doesn't fit ANYWHERE. He's a selfish shoot-first point guard who NEEDS the ball to be effective, but doesn't really understand what he ought to be doing with the ball. He needs to go to somewhere in europe where he might actually succeed like that. i understand why the knicks want to get rid of him, I DON'T understand why their fans think anyone will take him/they'll get a superstar for him. That's just delusional...then again new york fans are usually delusional. If Ron Artest gets traded for stephon marbury, the pacers are done. (Or Rick Carlisle harnesses his talents turns him into an off-guard and deserves coach of the century)

    This week in the NBA

the atlanta deal looks REALLY good on paper. Artest won't bother them in the playoffs because the Hawks aren't going anywhere this year, Harrington is really starting to dominate in the post (But can he keep it up?) and Childress has ptential...but is that what Indiana really NEEDS? The lakers aren't really offering much of anything, and New York is offering Marbury but I wouldn't touch that guy with a ten-foot pool if I were the pacers. Toronto's offering Joey Graham...he has good potential, but Araujo he's turning out to just be a big stiff. GS needs to offer Troy Murphy if they're gonna get Artest, that's the only guy on the Warriors (outside of J-Rich) that I'd be interested in if I were the pacers. This is a tough call for Indiana, and that's not even all the teams. For example, what's Cleveland offering (I STILL think Larry Hughes and Luke Jackson for Artest and Tinsley would be the best deal, and that's the one I'd want to make, even if they'd have to deal with him in the playoffs) The more I think about it, the more I'd be wanting to unload stephen jackson too while he's playing ok and still sane, and get some other good players in return, as I think his contribution can be replaced. can't wait to see what happens Might even see a 3-team deal.

Should TNA get a new world belt??

IWGP is f'in awesome. Nothing says prestige/history like having ALL the names of the belt holders engraved on it. Plus in like 50 years it'll be like 5 feet wide to hold all the different title holders !!!!

    This week in the NBA

These trade rumors are really exciting for the NBA, because NOBODY really knows what's going to happen. There are a LOT of rumors, a LOT of possibilities, and whastever happens Indiana is probably gonna end up a better team for it (if nothing else, chemistry wise) The real question...can LB make the best deal for his team. Can he get them someone like Nenad Krstic (Who would fit on their team perfectly, and rick carlisle would LOVE to coach him up.) It's going to be really interesting to see what happens. i for one will be a much bigger fan of Indiana once Artest is gone (I really don't like the guy and his attitude) especially since Rick Carlisle is such an awesome coach.

    This week in the NBA

Well we know they aren't re-signing Darko, so they're gonna have plenty of money for Ben...but is it going to be worth it to give him all of it. Especially when by the middle/tail end of the contract he's gonna want, his performance his gonna be declining. He's a GREAT player, but when he ever loses a step he's gonna be in real trouble.

    This week in the NBA

I still don't understand WHY Detroit let Okur go, he didn't get THAT fat of a contract, and they sure could use his offensive rebounding and consistent midrange offense right now. Kirilenko is a beast, and my favorite player just from the way he plays. If it wasn't for his nagging injuries this year Utah could be doing something (Especially with Deron williams showing off what a great pick he was). They need to jettison boozer while he's still worth SOMETHING and continue to build around AK-47, D-Will and Oku

    2006 Baseball Games

The only thing I'd like about the ncaa game is recruiting, but EA always screws up recruiting in their football games, i doubt it'll be much better.

Someone's just gonna have to go for 100 again. Course they'll prolly be an illegal cyborg 80 years from now with bionic legs, but hey, how do we know Wilt wasn't a cyborg from the future either ;p

    2006 Baseball Games

Only 2ksports has the mlb license. Hence why EA went with the NCAA one apparently. ...But who wants to play college baseball. Metal bats?!?!?

    This week in the NBA

I don't understand why people get rubbed so raw by hack-a-ben and hack-a-shaq. Get those players off the floor. Period. Wait, we can't win without those players on the floor! WAAAAAAAAAAAH. That means you have a WEAKNESS. They are EXPLOITING your WEAKNESS. Remember they're giving up fouls to do this, and potentially fouling out players which could hurt them if the game goes to overtime. I like Ben Wallace, but if he's getting hacked even ONCE. He comes off the floor till after the 2 minute mark. At that point he can stay on defensively, but he doesn't touch the ball on offense. That's just good coaching, something you'd think Flip Saunders could do.

Screw Tinsley, Jaskivicius should be the starter he's more consistent, creative, reliable and a proven winner. They SHOULD trade tinsley AND artest and get some more pieces they can put around jermaine and stephen jackson.

    Dragon Warrior VIII

Yeah, alchemy makes finding the best weapons fairly easy, honestly. Which is nice. no class change system in 8. They dropped that after 7 (Where it barely had any effect on the game, which was my biggest complaint with vii)

    This week in the NBA

I may not be a pacers fan, but... I'd be pissed he mentioned it to the media. When he does that it lowers his trade value, because everyone KNOWS he wants out. If he just quietly goes and makes a comment to the GM or rick carlisle (I know that's not his way of course, but even so) he could have been traded and perhaps without everyone knowing he's unhappy there. (Giving them an edge in the negotiations as to his value) I think the BEST trade (for all parties involved as equal value and taking into account Artest's craziness) would be Artest for Larry Hughes and Luke Jackson. Assuming Cleveland can keep Artest sane (and happy with his 'number of shots'), he could be a REAL force for their team, especially alongside LeBron. Hughes and Jackson would give some help to Pacers in need areas. I don't see that happening though (Cleveland just signed Hughes and they seem happy with him), and I feel the pacers aren't going to get equal value for Artest (Peja certainly isn't an answer, as I don't see where he fits on Indiana's team.)

    Dragon Warrior VIII

Leveling isn't too much of a chore once you find the right places with metal slimes family monsters. Money can be annoying at times, but I don't recall at any point not having enough money for something I wanted, especially after I spent one big 3 hour trip leveling from the high 20's to the mid 30's. It's a great game, with a -lot- to do, and some slightly challenging battles. But it is VERY old school in mechanics.Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because it has POLISH

    The Chronicles of Narnia

The first 5 books are ok to make movies of, but the 6th and 7th books are terrible and I have no interest in ever seeing those... The 2nd book in particular is a direct sequel to the first so I would love to see that one

Anyone know when Memphis gets a nationally televised game. I've been wanting to see them all season, especially with the new Pau "Mountain Man" Gasol.
  25. The equilibrium fight scenes aren't great for the -fighting- but the style and choreography. I think it's very intricate in its' own way, that's why I like them.
